I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and Santa was good to you.  We enjoyed Christmas eve at our home with our family and Christmas day at our oldest son's home. We had so much fun with food, gifts, laughter and love. I would like to welcome a new follower to my blog. Mrs. A has just finished 12 days of Christmas cards that are so clever and verses along with them. You have to visit her blog http://itsanalienlife.blogspot.com/ and say hello and check those out.  I misinformed you about the phone working. My sister in law has the same cable company and can call me, but my sons who have cell phones and other people cannot! This is a nightmare. I have called several times. Twice I held on for 20 minutes and they cut me off. Today I got a real person and they are checking the lines and will call me back. That's what they told me last week  no one called and phone is not fixed. After I called the tech people today I called billing to make sure they weren't charging me for service that I ordered 11/25 and didn't get internet until 12/20 and still no phone. As of right now today, my bill is $446.64. What would you do? I'm completely overwhelmed. I haven't made a card or been in the craft room for several days. Our friends funeral is Saturday and I hope to get back in the swing of things after that. I don't have the spirit right now but need to make a sympathy card for her. That is the hardest thing to do.  Be kind to one another.

I want to wish each and everyone a very Merry Christmas today. I treasure each of my followers, all the comments made or emails received and truly thank all the bloggers who helped me get this blog started and taught me so much. Stampers are the greatest at sharing their work and their techniques and helping anyone. Starting my blog is the best thing I've done for myself in a long time and I'm grateful for all of you who stop by. You never know when something you say will help someone through a tough time. My thanks and love to each and every one of you.  On a quick side note - my phone is working. On a sad note, the husband of one of my best friends passed away Monday. He had Lou Gehrigs disease. I hate dementia, but ALS is a terrible thing. My heart goes out to anyone who is going through any sickness or disease.

May you all be blessed with love and health. Be kind to one another.

Monday, December 23, 2013

I chilled out most of yesterday so today is work time. Will be doing last minute cleaning and starting the easy cooking. Fudge, pink stuff (as it's known at our house), cheese ball and deviled eggs.  These are the little snacks to set around. Here is one of my Christmas cards from Christmas past. I kept this one because it is kinda crooked. Be kind to one another. Won't comment on cable company today.  That would not be kind.

This is not card related so you don't have to read about drama.

Just popped in to tell you the cable saga isn't quite over!! My computer won't load images in my email and I can't receive incoming phone calls. My son emailed me and asked me to call him. My other son had been trying to call and it tells people our phone has been disconnected. I can call out but no one can call in. Hopefully Monday we can resolve this issue. Who would have thought that ordering new service would cause all this trouble. On the bright side, I know the cable telephone number by heart and no longer have to look it up each time.  Have a nice relaxing day and be kind to each other.

Happy news - cable guy came and got everything up and running. Except-the modem he brought should have a label to give the password for WiFi and the label was missing. He said he will return sometime with a new one and hook it up. I am thrilled and hope the internet won't freeze up or disappear, that it will load everything and play nice. The word of the day is rain, rain and more rain. It has seeped into our sunporch and Molly has to be coerced to go out. Wet dog is not exactly a pleasant smell. Hope all your Christmas shopping and preparation is finished and you can relax this weekend. Todays card is from a stamp camp last year. Be kind to one another.

Our snow is gone but it is pouring rain. We now have flood warnings out. What weird weather. Yesterday and the day before we had freezing fog advisories. I have a confession to make. I love my old sizzix machine. Remember the red one that was so heavy and you just pulled down the handle? It is so quick and easy.

I made all these tag shapes in just a few minutes. The rectangles are from Lil' Inkers. The mittens and tree are Sizzix dies and the deer are memory box. The gingerbread is a SU punch. The rest are VOS (very old stuff) stickers. I have so many stickers from when I first started to make things and never used very many. This seemed like a good time to use them up. The snowflakes are a McGill flower punch. The little rounded tree is Wplus 9 die.

Cable guy just called and will be here in an hour. Maybe this will get done.  Be kind to one another, no matter what!

Thursday, December 19, 2013

I'm in the home stretch. Shopping done, presents wrapped, decorating done. Todays card is from a previous year made in stamp camp. I have two gift card holders to make today with the punch board. Then it's just cleaning and cooking. I like to cook but see no reason to clean. It just gets dirty again. What a waste of time when you could be making cards.

Cable tech came Tuesday. Couldn't install because they had not received third party approval from my current phone company. He sat in our driveway for over 1/2 hour calling home office to get this done. Said he would either be back Wed. to install or someone would call me. No one called and he did not come. I called this morning. Asked for a supervisor. He actually checked and found approval had been done, tech will be here tomorrow and they are waiving installation fee. Should I expect him - I don't know. I would not have thought since I ordered new service on Nov. 25th it would take this long.  Be kind to one another. I have been kind to the cable people when I wanted to scream and say a naughty word. Or several.

I got the tree up yesterday and some decorating done. It is looking festive and Christmasy now. Today is wrap day. I won't be spinning on the floor (not that kind of rap)! I wrapped some little Hershey's nuggets yesterday that http://kardsbykadie.blogspot.com/ showed on her blog. She has the cutest projects. Thank you Kadie. I like how mine came out. I have an old cute stamp set called Clear Impressions that is nothing but faces that I used on the wrappers. I think the grandkids will like them. You may have to click on the picture to see their faces. Be kind to one another.

I just popped in today to share a laugh.  Saw this on giggle palooza and wanted to share.

I made myself a snowball,
as perfect as could be.
I thought I'd keep it as a pet
and let it sleep with me.
I made it some pajamas
and a pillow for its head.
Then last night it ran away
but first - - it wet the bed!

Be kind to one another.

Today I'm trying to finish making tags. Got started yesterday and I'm using up stickers and things that are in my Christmas bin. I feel guilty buying more stamps when I have so many but I've just discovered DeNami and Lawn Fawn and both are so darn cute. I NEED some of those. Maybe I will have to get a part time job to support my habit but then when would I stamp? No, on second thought that is a really bad idea.  I'll be sharing some of my older cards from other years since I am finished making Christmas cards this year.  It's just to share because some of the stamps are older. Some of these I will be showing were made in stamp camp. I'll post today's because it is new. This was the free make and take at Archiver's a few weeks ago. My gingerbread card the other day was from before as well.  Enjoy your Sunday and be kind to one another.

Friday, December 13, 2013

Hope everyone is warm and putting the finishing touches on Christmas gifts, cards, wrapping and baking. That would not be me yet. Almost done shopping, cards are done and ready to mail. No decorating, baking or wrapping. Just having my cinammon spice coffe and visiting you all this morning. We are expecting 3-5 inches of snow tonight and tomorrow.  You don't have to read this next paragraph. It is a rant and I need to get it off my chest.

I am going to tell you what I want for Christmas this year and every one from now on. I want to never have to talk to my cable provider again. We have talked five times in the last five days and one call that I couldn't bring myself to answer. Each time was a different person, each one told me something different, the rate was different, the way to hook up cables was different and even the time the technican would be here. They told me Monday, the 17th! So I don't know when he will come, what he will do and how much it will cost. Also what my phone number will be. It is not suppose to change but I have had two people tell me two different numbers. Did I mention instead of the cable they were suppose to send me I received an empty box to send my equipment back in? This is becoming a nightmare to change service providers. This is a well known nation wide company. How can this be? Don't they train these customer service people. I was hoping not to have a stroke before I get my service hooked up.

Todays card is one I made for my grandson. He is crazy about gingerbread men. Just a simple card made with a punch and a Jolee's santa hat. Be kind to one another and don't change your providers.

I feel safe in saying winter has arrived even if it's not on the calendar yet. Our temps. are -5 to 5 above. We still have snow on the ground but not that much. Molly runs right out does her thing and runs right back in and that's not like her. She loves the snow but not the cold.  Took hubby to cardiologist for a check up today and he got a clean bill of health. That always makes you feel good when you go in for a checkup and everything is fine. Dr. said they no longer use a treadmill test as a baseline. Only do it now if there is a problem. It's nice to have one less test to pay for that isn't needed.  I am showing you a gift I made for our gift exchange in my card group for Christmas. It was a set of three of those paper board hatboxes you can get at Michael's or a hobby store. I painted them a light green and decorated the top with a sizzix snowman and added hats and scarfs for them. All three were decorated. Somehow most of my pictures in Kodak in my computer say they are lost. It gives me an option to reconnect but they don't. So this picture is the only one of three that I still have.

Be kind to one another.

Thanks for all the nice comments about the ribbon weaving. I learned from En-May on youtube. If you would like to see it done just search on youtube for ribbon weaving. It really is easy.

Yesterday I got busy with my Christmas cards. When I saw the paper with notes on it I immediately thought of the ornament punch by Stampin up. The paper color determined the color of cardstock I would need to use so it was not a hard decision for me. After I cut all the layers I white embossed the Noel  on the black cardstock. Only messed up one so I was pleased. Then I stamped the verse I wanted to use on the inside. After I finished that I was ready to assemble. ACK - I stamped the verse with the fold of the card on the left. I embossed the Noel to have the fold at the top of the card!! You, as a stamper would have been proud. I did not panic. I turned the card inside out knowing I would be layering over the top of that stamped verse and restamped all over again.

Tip - Think twice, stamp once!

Anywho, they are finished and ready to go. For some reason the USPS wouldn't take my credit card number so I could order stamps online so I will be visiting the post office tomorrow. It is really cold here but we did not get ice like some places did and only an inch or two of snow. Hope you all have power and are keeping warm. Be kind to one another.

Friday, December 6, 2013

We have had a busy week of running errands, grocery and I did get out for our monthly get together yesterday to go to a movie with my friend Marilyn. We had a yummy lunch at Applebee's and saw The Delivery Man. It was a comedy but a real heartwarming movie as well. We now have several inches of snow on the ground and several more to come today so I'm getting my Christmas cards made this weekend. Then I have to get out and pick up a few more gifts for the GK (grandkids). Haven't started wrapping yet. That will be on wrapping day. I save a day just for that, although with gift bags now that is easier. You can decorate the bags with embellishments and make them so cute. I think Christmas always sneaks up on me or else I procrastinate! I have to get one holiday finished before I can start another one. I always feel like the stores are rushing me when they start putting things out in August. I'm just not ready - BUT - now that I have been out to shop, things are already picked over and they are out of sizes. I think that's a shame. Well, shutting up and moving along, I am posting my Christmas card from last year. Ribbon weaving was the rage and I think it is so pretty on a card. My card was gold cardstock with white ribbon and little gold pearls. I ended up using thinner ribbon because this was too heavy. This is the card I kept. Be kind to each other. My thoughts are with the Mandela family today. What a great man. To those with ice and snow, take care if you have to go out.

Monday, December 2, 2013

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Did anyone shop on Black Friday? I can't bring myself to want anything bad enough to look for a parking space, fight the crowds and stand in lines for a long time. I used to do it but I find I have less patience and I'm less tolerant in my old age! I had a brunch for our family on Friday. I share the Thanksgiving holiday with my daughter in laws family and this year was their year to have it on Thursday. Our other son goes to his wife's family on Thursday evening. So instead I decided to have a brunch and they could stay as long as they wanted. We had a wonderful time. Ate and ate and visited and played games. Taboo is a fun game that we all could play and five second rule, along with another word game. Granddaughters spent the night and we met up with one of daughter in laws and all went to a craft fair. There were not as many vendors as last year so I was kind of disappointed but we had lunch after and it was fun.  I did do some shopping on line and some today online.  This is the card I was working on for Christmas but it is slow going because of all the cutting and a lot of popping up. I think I will do something else. Today is catch up on laundry and pay bills. Maybe this afternoon I can play.   I would like to welcome Sharon Polesel as a follower http://mycraftyplace281.blogspot.com/. Maybe you could stop by and visit her blog and say hi. Be kind to each other.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone in the USA today and a happy day to everyone.  I am so thankful for my family and friends and our dog, Molly. Ours sons and daughter in laws are the greatest and our grandkids are wonderful. We are so lucky to have such wonderful people in our lives. All of our relatives, near and far, are terrific. My sister in law is just like a sister and I love her and her family so much too. Even our dog, Molly, brings so much joy into our lives. I'm grateful my hubby is doing so well at this point and is still able to do some things. This year I have even more to be thankful for - You - my blogger friends! You make my days brighter and make me happy when you comment and follow. I am thankful I have such a fun hobby of cardmaking that sends joy to others and gives me something to do here at home.  You guys are the greatest!  Enjoy you day and be kind to each other.

We don't have snow or ice but we sure have COLD. Oh my. I can't believe I am going to get a haircut this morning then off to the grocery store in this bone chilling cold. It is now 18 with a wind chill of eight.  Then I need to finish up the cleaning.  I'm showing you my floor today. I keep all Christmas stamps and embellishments in a plastic tub and I had it all spread out on the floor these last two weeks. I had the island pulled out in the middle of the floor and stuff all over. To all my friends south of here and on the east coast be careful if you have snow and ice. I hope everyone gets where they are going safely.  I want to welcome two new followers to my blog http://mylittlesliceofbliss.blogspot.com/ who makes the cutest cards and uses washi in the coolest way and http://craftypawsbytrisha.blogspot.com/ who also has a great blog and the sweetest dog.  I'm so happy to have you along with me.

Be kind to each other and thankful.

Because I have let the housework go for two weeks to take the online card class I have my work cut out for me before Thanksgiving. I needed one more Thankful card so I shamelessly case'd this card from http://www.frenchiestamps.com/ so I could make it and drop it in the mail. I love her blog and she does great videos plus her accent is the cutest!

The second card of Debby's is the male version. The previous one is the female version. I love having them show male cards. There aren't that many male cards or stamps so I'm always happy when a good one comes along.  I forgot to put the bling on the female card in the picture I posted, but have since added it.

I'm sending this card to http://onlinecardclasses.com/hcw13/class-info/. I should tell you that the branch was done with embossing paste, then sprinkled with embossing powder and heated. I didn't have the silver so I used the embossing tinsel. It is so sparkly. That was my first time with the paste and it is very cool. The reason the embossing tinsel didn't work the other day (are you sitting down?) is that the plastic was still on the bottle. I couldn't get the lid off and I was afraid to keep messing with it. A senior moment for sure!
Todays first two cards for http://onlinecardclasses.com/hcw13/ are by Debby Hughes and I love them. I couldn't wait to get started but I did think it through first!  Since I don't have everything they use in class I have to improvise and that's not always easy for me. My one big hitch was stamping the snowflake on the white background. I tried a new Martha Stewart punch that will punch anywhere. Well, it didn't. The magnets wouldn't line up so it would not punch. I had to use the little punch I had and it is okay.  Hope you like it.  Be kind to each other.

Tuesday, November 19, 2013

Here is my last card for day four. I didn't make all of the cards for class but I am happy with the ones I did make.

This is on its way to http://onlinecardclasses.com/hcw13/ too.
Upon reflection, I think my problem yesterday was being in too big of a hurry. I started in without knowing what ink I was going to use and what stamps so when I got started nothing came out like it was suppose to. Today was okay.  This is the second card for day four of class.

I will post this one to http://onlinecardclasses.com/hcw13/ too.
Today was a much better day for card making. I watched the videos again and I was ready. This will be three posts because I can only seem to post one card at a time on the http://onlinecardclasses.com/hcw13/ site.  This card I made 3 times. I can't get the stripes to come out just right but that's okay. This was my best one!

Be kind to each other.

Monday, November 18, 2013

My heart goes out to all the people and places that had tornados or straight line wind damage yesterday. So much destruction and loss of property but no loss of life. We had 23 instances of tornado touch downs and 484 reports of wind damage in Indiana. It was not just here but in Illinois and Kentucky as well. It was a scary day for us. Our home only had high winds and rain so we were very fortunate.

I can't make a card today to save my life. First I tried the chalkboard card from yesterday's bonus. The background came out great so I know how to do that now. The rest of the card - not so much. Tried the stripes on todays video and they didn't work. Stamped the trees and they came out so cute. Then, could not find my embossing buddy. I looked everywhere and found things I had forgotten about but no embossing buddy. Finally - it turned up. I didn't have silver embossing powder so I found some embossing tinsel that was so pretty and shiny to use. It did not show up on the card at all. I am going to fix lunch and go to the pharmacy. I need a stamping break. Maybe I'll be back later.

Sunday, November 17, 2013

Would you believe it's me again! I don't think I've ever made this many cards in so short a time. This was day three also. Use a stencil and mask off the paper to make a tree.  Here is my offering.

Be kind to each other. I will post this to http://onlinecardclasses.com/hcw13/class-info/.
There was a bonus class on Saturday done by three teenage crafters, two girls and a guy. It's so great that the young want to carry on cardmaking.  They did such a good job on their cards. I am posting one made by Tanner. He used patterned paper as a background. I have trouble picking out paper so this was a chance for me to do that. Be kind to each other.

I am posting this card to http://onlinecardclasses.com/hcw13/class-info/.
This is the little tag. I'm posting on http://onlinecardclasses.com/hcw13/ page.

Okay, this is a repeat as will be the next post. I couldn't get all three to upload to the card class so I am doing three separate posts. Just skip this and the next one. I'm so sorry.

According to the weather people we are in for a stormy day along with MO, IL, KY, TN and OH. High damaging winds and torrential rain. That sounds like a perfect forecast for stamping as long as we have power!  I'm showing you two cards and a tag from day three of class. My favorite is the plaid and I think I got carried away and made it too big. I did miss stamping a few places along the way but I love it and now know how to do it. I made little boo boos on some of the cards but it is a learning experience and I sure am learning a lot. The second card is stamping on an angle using the stampamajig. I had trouble with the embossing powder but that's okay too. The last one is a tag that is suppose to have a verse across the image and a popped up image stamped over it to match the other one. I didn't have any verse small enough to go over the snowman so I just popped up the heart. The crafters taking this class are so talented. Their samples are wonderful. So many ideas out there. Be kind to each other. I am going to post these on the http://onlinecardclasses.com/hcw13/class-info/  page.

Thursday, November 14, 2013

I figured out how to do post this banner just now. It was so simple. We have been gone all day to the VA so I haven't had a chance to try the cards for day two. My first one wasn't very good so I'm anxious to try again but we are on the way out the door tonight. I love this class tho and can't wait to really get busy. Be kind to each other.

Wednesday, November 13, 2013

This is the second day of Holiday card class. This is my first card made by embedding die cuts into the negative space. I didn't get real ambitious and only made one layer but I'm happy the way it came out and now I have an idea of what to do. Jennifer McGuire is the teacher today and her cards are beautiful and intricate. Be kind to each other.

Oops, my joy is crooked and the picture isn't very good. Hopefully you will get the idea. I'm  going to post this on the http://onlinecardclasses.com/hcw13/day-2-student-gallery/ today.

Tuesday, November 12, 2013

I have part of my first day of http://onlinecardclasses.com/hcw13/class-info/ under my belt. I made the first and second card so far. We were gone most of yesterday so I didn't get started until today. I love the cards and am pleased with the way they turned out. My white gel pen would not work on the first card so I will be replacing it soon. That sets off the card so well. The second card with the banner I had a harder time with matching up the banners but I love the idea. These gals are so talented and I am learning new things. So here are my first attempts.  The first card is a gift card holder and I will be making more of these. Perfect for any occasion you are giving a gift for.  The white stitching should go under the top red tape and above the bottom red tape. I didn't have decorated tape so I had to stamp on my tape to make it look better!

I don't think I let the background get dry on my second card because it wore off on the front! I only have two background stamps so I didn't have a big choice of what to use. There are so many things I don't have that the gals use so I am using just what I can come up with. It was so much fun. This won't be the last class I take, that's for sure.

Sunday, November 10, 2013

I am just beside myself with joy. As I was reading my blogs the other day I found I was a winner of the Holiday Card Class starting tomorrow. I've never taken an online class and this will be a good one. I can hardly wait. It's just like Christmas for me.

Thanks for all the comments about my neighbors passing. My husband will miss him so much. It gave hubby pleasure to go over and check on him every other day and take in his mail. They had both been Marines so that was the common topic of conversation. This will be hard and I appreciate your thoughts. I believe they are together again.

Today's card is my last one for Thanksgiving as far as I know. It's time to start on Christmas. I can't wait to be inspired by blogs and this class. Be kind to each other.

Friday, November 8, 2013

This has been a sad year for us. We have lost seven people this year. Our next door neighbor passed away this morning. He lost his wife two years ago and I don't think he ever got over it. He is a close friend of my husbands and I dreaded telling hubby about the passing. Once when hubby went over to see him, he was looking at his wife's picture and had tears rolling down his face. He said everyday how much he missed her. Such a sad love story.

Today I am posting a Thanksgiving card made for our son and his family. Just a simple piece of patterned paper with a Stampin Up stamp and their burlap ribbon. The background is a Lifestyle craft embossing folder.   Be kind to each other. You never know how fast life can change.

I am going to post this card to http://casology.blogspot.com.au/ for their cue word Brown.

Wednesday, November 6, 2013

We have been busy little campers. Hubby had some things that we took care of so we have been out and about. I need a day to catch up on the blogs and get in my craft room. Weather is calling for rain today and that is such a wonderful reason to craft. Todays card is one I made using K&C things I purchased years ago (like a lot of products that were put away because I just bought them with no particular use in mind). I'm learning to branch out and use different things on cards rather that just paper and ink. I learned a lesson with this card. Stamp first, then apply embellishments. The little squares are raised and the stamp didn't fit well so I had to fill in with pen on the sentiment. The bottom is a strip of washi tape.  Be kind to each other.

Saturday, November 2, 2013

Hope everyone had a safe Halloween without rain and wind. Thank goodness they moved ours a day later. It was chilly but dry. I am so excited that I posted my first card on the CASology site with Darnell's help. She is a treasure to share how to do that. Well, she is a treasure period. I've been back to look at my card on their site three times since I sent it there. It looks so much happier there! I still can't believe it.

That's it for today. Getting ready to shower and wash my hair. I'll share that I use Philosophy bath and shower gel to wash my hair and it has never been in better shape. I don't really think of it as a gel, more the consistency of shampoo, but you will love it. We have to go to our homeowners meeting this afternoon, but I hope to work on a fall card when we get home. Be kind to each other.

Thursday, October 31, 2013

Happy Halloween to all you who celebrate. I hope all the little trick or treaters are warm and safe tonight. Our trick or treat has been cancelled for tonight because the nasty weather is suppose to come in from 4 to 11 pm. That's the first time ever that I know of it being cancelled but I'm glad they changed it. It would have been miserable with winds of 60 miles an hour expected and two inches of rain.

I would like to welcome Sue from the UK as a follower. I'm so happy to have you as a fellow crafter along with my other cardmakers. I love this blogging and I'm learning so much from all of you.

Todays card is a thinking of you for a friend of mine. I am excited to send this card to http://casology.blogspot.com.au/. Their cue word this time is black. This is a hero arts stamp and I embossed it with black ep and thinned out ink to color with.  Be kind to one another.

Tuesday, October 29, 2013

Lots of things going on. I HAD to clean the house. I've been kinda of letting it go and browsing blogs instead. Whoops! We have had clean clothes and food on the table though. Been getting out our winter duds since the temps have dropped. That leads to cleaning out the closet and going through things that I hadn't planned on doing. You know how one thing leads to another. That's why it's not a good idea to start that kind of thing!! Also did a quick wash of the windows yesterday.

I made a light box today because I made a card and tried to take a picture of it. I saw one (the box) on Pinterest and have seen several made on blogs, so I did that. The box turned out well, the picture, not so much. It's not a real defined stamp so maybe it won't photograph well ever but I think it's me.  I'm showing you a card I did last year for Thanksgiving. It's a Serendipity stamp with a leaf from one of those little sets of autumn buttons. Tomorrow I'll be running all errands before the big rains and furious winds they are predicting for Thursday.  My heart goes out to all those affected by the terrible storms in the UK and all the places it traveled to. Be kind to each other.

Saturday, October 26, 2013

It wasn't just chilly this morning, it was down right cold - 26 degrees. Didn't want to go out but we had to pick up hubby's medicine so we did that and went to lunch. I stopped and filled up the gas tank on the way home and I can tell you that I did not enjoy that! It wasn't as cold but the wind is blowing and that makes it seem so much colder. I have mailed off all the Halloween cards but thought I would show you this one from last year for granddaughter. Keep warm and be kind.
My scissors are holding it closed!

So many blogs, so little time! I'm still spending so much time online but I am so happy to see everyone's blog. What a world of inspiration out there. I love to see how each person intwerkprets a sketch or challenge. Oops, that was a "Darnellism". I'm seeing too much of Miley Cyrus news. That would be interprets. There is so much talent out there in blogland. Plus, you can learn anything from you tube that bloggers post. Love all of you so much. It is a small world for me here at home. My hubby is pretty well functioning after six years of being diagnosed with dementia. He is unable to start the dvd player or do simple tasks so I hate to be gone very long from home. He won't fix anything to eat so I am always here for meals or leave something in the fridge. I take him out to eat lunch when I go to the pharmacy or to run short errands. It gets him out for a while. He does wander off tho and I have to keep an eye on him! I'm always afraid he will let the dog outside and forget about her in really hot or really cold weather. So I am a homebody and since I found cardmaking I am in paper heaven. This card is my last Halloween one unless I case the minion one on Pinterest. It is the cutest card and I know the granddaughters would love it. This card used an old Debbie Mumm sticker that I really love and a strip of Bazzill rick rack ribbon. Been hoarding that sticker for several years but I am trying to use all my stuff up. Be kind to each other.

Oh what a fun day we had at our sons Sunday. They loved their cards and the kids loved the gift bags. My daughter in law had a terrific dinner and dessert. This was celebrating our youngest son, granddaughter and my birthdays. I have brand new Archiver's and O'Charley's gift cards to spend. They know my haunts are Barnes and Noble, Archiver's and O'Charleys. I always welcome gift cards!! Okay my new thing is using patterned paper and I stamped on it! I have used paper on cards before but never as a focal point so this is a first. Turns out I love this card. It's for my oldest grandson and it's not fou fou so I think he will like it.

The paper is from Memory Box. It has script and the tree on it. I stamped the haunted house, moon and gravestones on it from an older Stampin Up set. I really like the way it turned out. It's a good guy card.  Be kind to each other.

Great day to craft. It's cold and rainy - perfect. I decorated some lunch bags to put a little candy in for the grands. We go to our son's tomorrow so I thought I'd better get busy. Nothing like waiting until the last minute. Visiting Michelle's blog http://michellephilippi.com/ I was inspired by the paper she used. I realized I had the same pad and could use it on sacks. Here they are. Be kind to each other.

Sun is back out today. I am happier when it is pretty out. Even if it's cold if we have sun it makes such a difference. I am going to take hubby for haircut, stop and get prescriptions and groceries and lunch for him. Then Sister in law and I are going to make a short trip to Brown County. There are two stamps stores there and she quilts and is looking for fabric. Hubby watches Walker, Texas Ranger every afternoon so he will be okay for a few hours.  Today's card is for youngest grandson. It is a Sizzix bingo EF and the 31st is purple stickles. Frankie is a Lasting Impressions brass stencil. He is into monsters alto this one is a happy one! Be kind to each other.
