New Home

I can't believe it's been almost a week since I posted. The time is flying by and this is the end of July already. My granddaughter moved into a new condo earlier this month. It is a row of five condos with garages located behind a big back yard. I'm so happy for her. All the condo's have bright orange doors that I just love so I had to make her a card. I couldn't duplicate it exactly but I did add the orange doors! I used Impression Obsession stamps that has houses in all different sizes. I glued them right next to each other and added the orange doors and the street in front of the yard. The first picture is the row of condos, then the card I made.

Sliding in

It has taken me all month to do my Twofer. Birds is such an easy prompt but I just couldn't get it to fly. So here are my last minute cards. I used  Art Impressions stamps for the first card and just the chicken on the second card. I've had these stamps for a long time.  The chicken soup is Stampin' Up. On the second card I used Doodle Bug pattern paper for the chicken wire and the same chicken.

Nuvo drops

On a recent zoom we did mediums through a stencil. On this card I used Nuvo Drops through a stencil I had in my stash. I did the first corner, then turned the cardstock and taped the stencil again to the corner. You really have to keep the stencil tight so the drops don't squish underneath. Takes a bit to dry but I love the shine. The sentiment is a Simon Says Stamp die.

Sun and sunflower

The sun is shining today. We have had so much rain lately I forgot what the sun looked like. I used a Memory Box sunflower embossing folder to make my own sunshine inside. It is painstaking to do but I colored the sunflower with Copic markers after I ran it through the Big Shot.  You need a steady hand, which I don't always have, to do that so there might be boo-boos. The sentiment is Altenew and winked.

More alcohol (ink that is)

I decided to share the card I made with AI's that I made first but did not have stamping on it. The inks are blue and purple on vellum and the paper is Heather Highland by Stampin' Up.  I used the hello die by Reverse Confetti and the Lavender Bunch by Memory Box. The new frame from Pinkfresh so I can join NBUS. The paper lavender and hello don't show up to well on the AI panel but I love the color.

The challenge this month at casmixup is alcohol inks on vellum. I love the look of them on vellum and had a lovely card made when I realized it didn't have stamping on it! I made this card in brighter colors and added die cutting, stamping and heat embossing on the sentiment. I love every single card on the challenge page and hope you can go visit. I used red, yellow and orange AI's for this card and added a Simon Says die cut in black.

Happy Fourth of July

I make this card every year because it is made from a napkin. It came in a package of so many and I don't send 4th cards so I do one every year to wish my blog friends happy 4th. After you see it today put it completely out of your mind so it will be new next year. Cheating, huh.

Let the experts do the fireworks and be safe. I learned my lesson about going out last year when I drove home from my son's after watching a concert. Everyone was shooting off fireworks and they came over my car all the way home. I felt like I was under attack. I didn't have Daisy then so I could go out. I can't leave her now because she gets so scared. We can just sit at the window and see them all over my neighborhood.
