Fall card

I am all over the place with making cards. I have my tub of fall and Thanksgiving supplies out along with the tub of Halloween and I keep switching back and forth. This is another fall card and I think my last one as I only send those to family. This one went to my son and his family. I used pattern paper and a tag from Craft n Craftin' that was in my stash. I cut some copper leaves with a Lawn Fawn die and added those. Very easy to do. I love the tags in that set and have hoarded them for a long time as I don't know if that company is still in business. It's not one I've heard of. The left top corner has a glare on it but it is copper too! I've already sent the card so I can't retake the picture.

I love this card

It's not like me to pick the right colors, so when I blended these colors together for a background I was stunned. I used Shaded Lilac, Dusty Concord and Black Soot DOX's and this is what I got. It just looks spooky to me with that Stampendous stamp of the house. The only other thing I added was a die cut cat from Impression Obsession covered in Glossy Accents. Simple but it is one of my favorite cards I've made. The inside says "Something wicked this way comes" from Tim Holtz. Finally got a Halloween card made.

Another sticker!

Can you stand another sticker card? This pumpkin sticker came from a set I got recently made by Jolee's. I put this on my autumn card because the paper had the gold and copper on it and they wanted to be together! Very simple card with just a strip of card stock along the bottom,  the sticker and a bit of twine. Happy Autumn everyone. I love the leaves, the colors and the cooler weather. Woke up to temps in the high 50's yesterday! It was just in the 90's the other day. It's hard to keep up.

My son's birthday

It's almost time for my younger son's birthday and he is a avid golfer. This is another pop up card from Jennifer McGuire. These are so easy and a fun surprise when opened. There are stickers on the front and I used an old Stampin Up stamp for the inside. I stamped and colored the inside back panel with Copics, along with the golfer. Then I cut him out and mounted him to the inside of the circle so he was away from the green making the shot.

We are still having a lot of heat with temps of 92 today. Good indoor crafting weather and this was my last birthday card so I'm ready to start on Halloween. I am not buying anything new for Halloween crafting this year and shouldn't forever. Well, wait, I did buy a package of stickers. I have sooo much Halloween that I would be nuts to get more. I don't know why I can't resist new products. I also don't know why I've suddenly started using stickers but I guess I'm trying to make stickers great again.

Leaves for Fall

I've been working on my cards for this month's Twofercardchallenge with prompt word Leaves. When leaves start falling and football is on TV it is Fall no matter what the calendar says. For my first card I used a cut apart from an Echo Park 6x6 paper pad and leaf die from Poppy Stamps. I covered the leaf with red and gold gilding flakes. On my second card I used the same die and sponged DOX in peeled paint, dusty concord and spiced marmalade, then added a strip of plaid paper from Lawn Fawn. The sentiment is Simon Says Stamp.

Playing with cut aparts

Last year I bought some beautiful papers from Prima Marketing called Amber Moon Collection. There was a page of cut aparts that I loved.  Here are a few cards I made with them. I'm trying to use up products in my stash so these were fun to make. Not only the cut aparts but pattern paper too.  I wish you could see the paper on the third card in person. It is from Kaiser Craft and the leaves are so shiny. Just beautiful.

Rain, enough already

It has rained for three days and turned quite chilly, into the 50's. I am worried about all the areas around the US with so much flooding and now the Eastern seaboard with Florence coming. Stay safe, everyone.

Yesterday was my oldest grandson's birthday and I am posting his card today. I have tons of cut a parts and stickers that I am starting to finally use. I used a golf cart sticker on the front with a sentiment from Sparkle & Sprinkle and another image from them inside. That stamp set is from 2006 that I bought at a craft show years ago.  If my grandson lets his hair grow it is curly like the image so this was perfect.

Just glowing

Another card that didn't quite come out like it was in my mind. I wanted to enter the https://caschristmascardchallenge which would be my first time ever to enter a Christmas challenge. I cut the wreath from sparkle paper and hung it on the window frame. All elements and the sentiment are Lawn Fawn. I wanted a soft glow inside the window. Anyone passing this house would think the house was probably on fire since I used the wrong shade of yellow. Not what I pictured!  The little berries on the wreath are from red mirri cardstock. Well, you have to start somewhere.

Happy Labor Day

I hope everyone that celebrates Labor Day is having a nice holiday today. Our weather is all sunshine  but a little hot at 91 degrees. I have never had good luck coloring on stamps before but the challenge at https://casmixup.blogspot.com/ is doing that. Okay, I've been trying all sorts of things new to me so why not try this again. It did take me two tries but I like the second result. I used Zig watercolor brush markers in two shades of pink and two shades of green to ink up this 2007 Penny Black wood mounted stamp called Windflower. My daughter in law picked it out for me to make their wedding invitations with. This is only it's second outing. The frame is Gina Marie and the sentiment is Stampin Up. I colored on the stamp, die cut a frame and stamped the greeting so I am entering it in the
