I watched a video by http://stampinwithsandi.com/create-bridge-card/ and made a simple practice card, then a quick, easy one. I've also been trying my hand at shadow and diaorama cards. They aren't hard and really look so cool. I did make a card using salt but didn't get terrific results with those and didn't get mine assembled in time for Loll and Bonnie's challenge. So today I'm sharing my bridge cards. The first one is the practice one and the second is my simple one.

I have put away all the supplies used for my other cards that aren't posted yet. I can never remember all the brands I used after I put things away and  I can't start another card unless I finish one and clean up before I do another one. Anal I know but I can't work when things are messy, plus I lose things if I don't put them back. The reason for this little story is I'm thinking I won't list all the products I used on cards. I think most of us use or have seen the same products and know what they are so if I use something you would like to know about just email or comment and I will let you know. Is that okay?

I went to my friend Marilyns yesterday and it reminded me of something I wnted to share. Have you ever had Cookie Butter? It is like peanut butter and comes in a jar like that in the peanut butter aisle.  It is by Biscoff (like the cookies) and I can't tell you how good it is especially on toast. The reason going to Marilyns made me think of it is because we had lunch at Olive Garden and they have cookie butter cake! I don't know how widespread Olive Garden is but if you have one you need to try this cake. That's the only place I've seen it so far. It is sinful for sure. Since I'm on a roll I will tell you Carmel Apple Pie gelato by Talenti in the ice cream aisle is out of this world. Perhaps I'm spending too much time shopping in the grocery store! Just to help you out, it comes in a plastic pint jar with a screw on lid.

Moving on. My card today is just a fun one that I may use for granddaughter's birthday even though it doesn't say that on the front. I will put a sentiment inside. It is a Sunny Studio sentiment and turtle with a Simon Says Stamp wave stencil. The awesome is a Waffle Flower die.  Be kind to one another and if you are on the coast of Texas, please be safe.

I followed the eclipse across the US on tv. It didn't get dark here, only very cloudy and overcast. What a fantastic event it was and brought so many people together from all over in a unified manner.
This card is for my granddaughter's birthday and I had a hard time with it. I made it twice and still am not pleased. It's the strings that really threw me. I'm posting it in the JUGS challenge this week. Be kind to one another.

I watched HSN the other day when they had crafting on. I didn't buy anything crafty but I did buy two shelving units for the garage and they should be here this week. I've got a lot of work to do out there. I'm not looking forward to it but it needs to be done.

Today's card is for my son's birthday and as you can see he is turning 50. I don't have any idea how this is happening! I had a card in my head where I would stamp the Cas-ual Friday stamp of 50 diagonally in black on a white panel then add a big 50 of cut out numbers centered over the top of them. When I saw Kristinas card on the 11th, I knew that's what I wanted to do instead.  I love the rainbow lines and just made it simple. I used Distress Oxide ink to stamp the lines, then all around the edges of a white card base.  Nothing like rubbing it in! His age, not the ink. Be kind to one another and be sure and wear your safe glasses on Monday.

It turned out to be a busy week instead of the calm that I expected. That's a good thing though and keeps me busy. I did get another birthday card finished and went ahead and made two of them since everything was already out on my table. It is a card I learned from Jennifer McGuire and one of my favorites. It is made with tulle for the shaker window and a Simon Says Stamp flower. The sentiment is SU. Be kind to one another.

I have one more card to enter in JUGS challenge for this week. I watercolored in black then added silver and gold pearl paint from Gansai Tambi to create the sky. The sentiment is from Altenew and embossed in white on vellum. I believe the silver stars are from Tim Holtz but they were in a clear zip bag so I'm not sure. The black stars are from my stash. I am also entering http://pixiescraftyworkshop.blogspot.com/.

Molly has been fine so I think she is over whatever she had. She is playful and eating and has finished her book. Be kind to one another.

I may have got ahead of myself as Molly vomited again yesterday afternoon. She's back on rice for now.

My friend Darnell is guest hosting at Just Us Girls this week and I wanted to join in the challenge. It is Shower and I used this MFT stamp called My Umbrella. I colored her with Copics and added black polka dots to her raincoat and umbrella. The umbrella, raincoat and boots are covered with Glossy Accents. The sentiment is from MFT too. Be kind to one another.

Edited:  I couldn't figure out how to resize the picture.  I tried four times and it didn't work. Sorry, Darnell. I've never seen a link up like that and I am still computer challenged. I am so frustrated about this since I don't enter many challenges. I just make a card for whatever I need it for and I made this card just to enter the challenge Shower.

Molly has turned the corner but it took all week. Late Friday she started feeling better. No more vomiting and she got half rice and half dog food on  Saturday. It really had me worried because she was so listless.  I haven't kept you updated on her reading lately either. She likes Danielle Steel and loved her latest book, The Duchess. Be kind to one another.

Molly is very sick and so far we haven't found out what's wrong. She started vomiting Mon. and Tues. We went to the vet Tues. and she got anti-inflammatory meds. and anti-nausea meds. Also did blood work. She has only had boiled rice since Tues. night. Yesterday she only vomited once and it was not much.  I am calling agin today to see if we should be doing more. Mostly she just sleeps but it's hard to tell if that's bad because that's all she usually does! The blood work came back okay.

This is the card that has the cut out letters from my backgrounds. Altenew letters, Lawn Fawn puppy and  paper. I chose that plaid since it matches my background. I colored the puppy with Copics. Very simple and I'm using some backgrounds I made. Be kind to one another.

My next door neighbor's birthday is today so I used one of my backgrounds to cut letters from Altenew's inline alpha dies. I used the Hero Arts flower die and used some DI to splatter the c/s. The pattern paper is from a 6 x 6 pack from MME. I added some gold bling for the flower center. Be kind to one another.

It is my next door neighbor's birthday and I did use everything I told you above, BUT I used one of my backgrounds and cut Altenew's letters on a different card! When it is finished I will post it. Please forgive my "senior moment". This happy birthday is an Avery Elle stamp.
