I have started on my Valentines but it is slow going. I think my mojo is still in the hospital or somewhere along the way. They are going to be simple but they are made with love. I did order the Simon Says Foodie Friends set. It is puns and how my family loves puns. So I'm making them for the grands. They get such a kick out of them. I'm not sure how many I will get made but I'm doing my best. It seems to be hard to get back in the swing of things when you haven't made a card in a while.
This is the second card I've made before the Foodie set got here. Be kind to one another.

I am starting to feel more like myself. Sunday I had a wonderful spurt of energy and got the Christmas stuff put away. What a relief that is. I still have somewhat of a brain freeze and can't think of the words I want to use and that is a little scary. Today I'm using my rescue inhaler since I'm having a bit of shortness of breath but the hospital called to check and said to do that.

I am so very happy to make another card today. I wanted to play in the

and try the cling wrap again. I was never good at it. Last night I tried again and used three colors of gelatos to make the background. Then I spritzed with water and smooshed. Then sprayed with starch and added the cling wrap. It sat overnight and this morning was the unveiling. To my surprise I have texture!! I die cut the heart, added a gold heart and gold sequins and stamped a sentiment. CAS using gelatos, die cut and stamping and with the cling wrap. Be kind to one another.

I'm plodding along today. I went to my follow up appt. with Dr. Thursday and got a clean chest xray. That is wonderful news. I made a few stops on my way home and probably overdid it but I was out and wanted to get things taken care of. Then I didn't take my water pill until 3 pm and I was popping up like a Wack-a-mole all night long. Friday I was dead dog tired and no energy whatsoever. Today I am going to get back in the swing of things. I did get a birthday card made and I'm so pleased. I got some new SU copper embossing powder and was wanting to use it.  I used my new SU Count My Blessings stamp set and ribbon. Very simple, embossed flower and sentiment and added ribbon and sequins. The copper paper is from the Target dollar spot last year. The picture didn't come out very well but I am pleased with the card. Be kind to one another.

Snow, snow everywhere! It's a good time to be inside. I am going a bit stir crazy being in so long. I have been in the recliner with my feet up since I am retaining fluid in legs, ankles and feet. I just heard back from the Dr. and they called in a water pill. Hopefully I will be able to get out tomorrow and go pick it up.

This is a pathetic attempt at the Twofercardchallenge but I so wanted to do it. It turns out I can't figure out how to print on the new computer. My whole card depended on me typing "What a feather in your hat". As a last resort I printed it. I'm so happy to be making cards I'm going to enter it anyway. Going back to recliner now. Be kind to one another.

Thank you all so very much for the get well wishes. They are so uplifting. I am home now from the ER. My son took me Sunday afternoon and I came home Wed. evening. It was not pneumonia like they said at Immediate Care, but a lung infection. The hospital was overwhelmed with flu and pneumonia patients and I stayed in the ER for 24 hours before a room was available. Had lots of antibiotics and meds pumped into me and breathing tests done. I came home with the same cough I went in with and hope to be able to get rid of it soon. It is impacting my breathing but it will pass. My energy is so low I have to rest between walking from room to room but I can tell it is getting better. Last night was my first good nights sleep. No sleep in the hospital, I think that may be a written rule. It is part of patients rights! Just a heads up for anyone going to the ER - my hospital no longer gives out those little pacts of kleenex and lotion and tooth brush and tooth paste. Don't ask how I know this.

I am being well taken care of. My SIL and granddaughter have gotten me groceries and took trash out and mail in. Right now the windows are completely iced in and snow is expected all day so I am not going anywhere. Poor Molly has had a rough week too. My son took her home with him Sunday. They have two big dogs so she was kept busy but did not sleep at night. She paced and whined looking for me. She has been sleeping so hard since we got back home.

My goal this week is to participate in Darnell's new Twofer Challenge. I have been looking forward to it and now don't have the umpf to make the cards. I hope you all get a chance to join in. I missed you all so much and probably won't go back and try to catch up but I will be visiting as soon as I can. Be kind to one another and wear a paper mask if you go out. The flu is everywhere.

I seem to have another unintended blog break. I have been so very sick since Tuesday and haven't been on the computer. I knew I felt so bad, slept all day Tuesday and got started on my meds Wed. for bronchitis. I did feel somewhat better Thursday but laid around most the of day. Yesterday was worse. Could hardly breathe and wasn't having a productive cough like I usually do by day two so I was concerned. I went to Immediate Care today and turns out I have pneumonia in both lungs. They were so through with chest x ray (three views) breathing treatment and the Dr. called the radiologist at the hospital to have him check my x-rays against my previous ones. The problem is that now it is 1:04 am and I am shaking life a leaf and can't sleep. He gave me Agumenton and said it could cause rapid heart rate. That is not the case but I am really shaking and trembling so hard I can barely type. I will say the meds are working if you want a productive cough. I am coughing so hard I may become incontinent. I don't feel that will be a good look for me.If  I'm not better in two days I am to go directly to the ER. Dr. said don't do anything, just take it easy. They took me out in a wheelchair to my car that had been parked there for three hours and 40 minutes in nine degree weather to drive to the pharmacy and walk through the entire store to get my meds, that so far have made me crazy. So, I'm trying to determine if it was a good day or bad day.

If that weren't enough, when I got home, Molly who normally eats her dinner at 4 pm almost chewed my leg off since it was 8 pm. Turns out she made her own meal of a chocolate candy bar that my granddaughter included in my Christmas bag. She has been tossing and turning every since she went to bed. I hope she will be ok. That's my narrative to begin 2018 and we're only 7 days in. Surely better times are on the way. Be kind to one another.

Happy New Year!! I hope this year brings you excellent health, lots of love and peace. I took an unintentional blog break this past week. My family got me a Smart TV and I have been working with it. It is not something I would have gotten myself but I do love it. I'm not a big movie watcher but with all these to choose from I will be watching some. The facebook and youtube videos are so much fun to watch on a big screen. I'm not sure about Amazon Prime though. If you have it, can you watch their movies for free? Does anyone know? Most of the sites you have to pay for. The kids gave me NetFlix so I'm good with that. This TV came at a good time with all this freezing weather so I'm staying in.

I'm sad to say I haven't made a card for several weeks now. Christmas, Thanksgiving and Halloween burn out, I think. I had a request for my Crock Pot Apple Butter so I am posting that today. Be kind to one another.

2 quarts apple sauce
3 1/3 cups sugar
2/3 cup brown sugar
2 and 2/3 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
2 and 2/3 tablespoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon cinamon
1/2 teaspoon allspice
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves

Cook with lid on crock pot for 2-3 hours on low. Remove lid and cook till liquid cooks away.
The whole process takes about 5-8 hours. Stir every so often.
