I made a card today for my granddaughter's May birthday. It is all Lawn Fawn products. I cut the tree from white c/s and ran it through a Cuttlebug embossing folder, then inked it with Distress Oxide Ink. I used twine to hang the pinata. Then I added the grass and some of the candy that escaped.   Be kind to one another.

I am going to enter this at Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #3 - Outstanding Occasions http://www.lawnfawnatics.com/category/challenges

I am really in love with Altenew's painted flower stamp set and my Zig pens. My pharmacy is closing Sunday so I made this card for the ladies there. They were so kind to Bill when he picked up his medicine. They took time to talk to him a bit and have been so wonderful to me. I just wanted them to know that I appreciate it. So I used that stamp set and my Zigs to color the flowers in. The thank you is Die-Namics layered three times and embossed in clear embossing powder. Added a few sequins and called it done. Notice I said a "few" sequins. I've learned my lesson from the other day! Be kind to one another.

Okay, it's me again today. I worked so hard to enter the challenge. This is my third card using pink and green. I love the colors together and also the samples the design team made plus all the entries. It ends today and I don't have time to start over. I wasn't going to enter this card at all but you know what - it is what I made so here goes. I watercolored a card with Zigs in pink and green but it wasn't on the right paper so it didn't come out well. Then I tried again and it was awful. Then yesterday I decided to use regular watercolor paints. I got the green cat all done and cut out and started to do the pink cat. Without any forthought I realized I don't have any pink watercolor paint other than pearl pink from Gansai Tambi. So, as you can see, that's what I used. The green is Koi watercolor. I cut them out along with a die cut frame from Pretty Pink Posh. The sentiment is Technique Tuesday. So, here it is in all it's glory - shiny glory I might add. Be kind to one another.

Monday is here again! A sunny, pretty Monday after a chilly weekend. This is my new Altenew Painted Flowers stamp set shown today. I am not good with images all scattered  around so I'm glad this set has the leaves attached to the flowers. I just stamped them on watercolor paper and watercolored with Zigs. It is my first time that I liked the result of Zig watercolor. But the design left a lot to be desired. Too much space on the right side. I made this card for my DIL's mom who just had surgery. I added sequins to fill up the space but I'm afraid there are so many they will blind her when the light hits them!  I should have added one more flower but I was leaving space for the sentiment. Now I know I should have done that first. I am learning. I didn't like all that space at the bottom so I added a punched border by a Martha Stewart punch. I should have trimmed it to match the top. I SHOULD have started over is what I SHOULD have done! But I think I will send it nonetheless. I actually learn something from each card I make. I used to save all those bad ones to use as a guide but I had so many boxes of cards I had to get rid of them! So you would think by now I had learned a lot! Be kind to one another.

Last Easter card I made this year. This went to my oldest grandson. Hard to believe he will be graduating from college in a month. I truly don't know where the years have gone. This is a SU image and Lawn Fawn plaid paper. I have used that SU stamp set so much. It is my favorite set ever from them.

My friend, Marilyn, is coming over today. We try to get together at least once a month but it is so hard to get together. Both of us have had to reschedule before it actually happens no matter how much we try. We have lunch and a movie or go shopping if nothing is on we want to see. I think today will be a movie day. Then it's back to bed shopping. I did get to one store yesterday but I want to take my time. This is a big purchase. Be kind to one another.

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday weekend. Our family did and it was so nice to have them all here for the day. I'm posting the card I made for my granddaughter today. It is a Lawn Fawn chick and egg die cut in felt with black sequins for eyes. The paper is also Lawn Fawn  and the scallop die is Simon Says Stamp. The sentiment is SU.

I am off today to find a new mattress. I would love to have one that inclines the head so I could read in bed. I do read in bed now only sitting over the side. That would be the lap of luxury for me. My mattress now may be contributing to my sore shoulder. It does feel better since the shot so I'm hoping that is taken care of.  Be kind to one another.

Happy Easter to all of you today. I am getting ready put the ham in the oven and get the day started but I wanted to pop in and wish you all a wonderful day with your family.

I have several more cards that I haven't posted yet for Easter but I only want to share this one today. I CASED it from http://www.frenchiestamps.com. I loved it from the moment I saw it. It is just sponged through a torn frame and stamped with a SU stamp. Very simple but very moving. I truly love this stamp set. I moved the sun a little higher on the second card but otherwise they are the same. Be kind to one another.

Grocery shopping is finished, house is cleaned and today I start cooking. We are having our first 80 degree days so I can open windows and let in the fresh air. I love that!  April, the giraffe,  is having her baby today and I'm excited for her.

This card did not come out as I had anticipated but I sent it anyway. I wanted to add this adorable bunny expoy sticker inside the grassy border but it made is so bumpy and out of sorts. The kids will like it though. The flowers are Impression Obession and I don't remember what stamp the dragonfly is but I added copper stickles to it's wings. Be kind to one another.

My SIL called at 8:30 Tues. am and said she wasn't going to see the aunt because she had to do something with her daughter. We will reschedule for a later date. I'm somewhat relieved but we will still go. Yesterday we trekked down to Nashville again since they finally called her and said her stamps were in. I only got one thing out of a visit to both stamp stores! It is, new to me, a stamp set by Stampendous! and is by Laurel Busch. It is, of all things, cats! It caught my eye the last time we were there and I didn't get it, so this time I caved. She was a great designer and used copics so beautifully.  Had a great lunch and a most beautiful day in the 70's.

Todays card is a Simon Says stencil and sponged with Distress Oxide Inks. I added sequins to the flower centers and the sentiment is Lawn Fawn. I cut a oval with a SB die in pink cardstock and mounted it over the stenciled egg. Be kind to one another.

My SIL and I are going to visit Bill's aunt today. She has dementia so this will be a hard visit. I don't think she will know who we are but we need to do this. I went to the Dr. yesterday because my left shoulder has been hurting for quite a while. I wanted to rule out a rotator cuff tear or anything serious. The bursa is inflamed and I got a cortisone shot with PT to do at home. That starts in three days. So I am relieved it was not worse.

Todays card is made with die cuts sent to me by a wonderful friend. I sponged one with worn lipstick, one with broken china ink and one in antique linen, then layered them. The image and sentiment are SU. Be kind to one another.

I'm thrilled to have the succulents all made for my DIL's for Easter. They are both alike and I hope they like them. This is the first time I've made something other than cards that I really like. I'm in and out quick today as I have lots of running to do. I also have the movie Fences that is due back today and I really want to watch it. The grands and I watched a couple of movies and we didn't get around to that one and that's the one I really wanted to see so I have to fit it in today too. Be kind to one another.

Saturday, April 8, 2017

It's starting to warm up again so it should be a pretty day. I get to have both of my younger grands today and for overnight. I haven't had them both together for a while so we will have a good time. Todays card is a boo boo but I hope you can't tell. Either way the stamp set is new so I am posting it at Darnell's IT'S HERE! April 1-11, 2017. It is a Simon Says set and I wanted to try watercoloring. I stamped the Cross in versamark and embossed it in clear powder. Then I watercolored over it. I was pleased with the watercolor but the Cross hardly showed up for some reason. I've seen people do this and it looked fine. That was the boo boo. I used the Misti and lined up the Cross again over the first one and inked with versamark and embossed with white powder.  Now it looks somewhat better and you can see it. The sentiment is from Stampin Up. I also made two others and had to redo both of them as well.  Be kind to one another.

Thursday, April 6, 2017

Hi everyone. This is an Easter card made with Lawn Fawn stamps and grass die and I used some more of my epoxy stickers for the eggs. The sentiment is  a 2009 Verve stamp. It is very cold today with howling winds so I hope to finish a few more cards. Be kind to one another.

The playoff games Saturday and last night were really great exciting games. Congrats to NC Tar Heels.  None of my favorites made it  to the end but they were in the final four

This card is one I saw Jennifer McGuire make with perfect pearls. It is not "perfect" as I got a silver line around the flower but it came out okay. I should have saved the other side because it is a boo boo. I stamped the leaves upside down and didn't realize it until I was done with the card. This is a new Altenew stamp, perfect pearls and nuvo drops. I am going to post it on NBUS. Be kind to one another.

IT'S HERE! April 1-11, 2017

Sunday, April 2, 2017

It is time for Coming April 1-11, 2017 at Darnell's.

I ordered the Oh So Succulent stamp set and dies from SU last month and have been making them up. They are so easy and there are so many options and colors to use. I purchased some white ceramic bowls and I have finished one that I am posting here today and adding to NBUS. I would like to make two more for my DIL's for Easter. I added a round foam base and covered it with Spanish Moss. Then added river rocks and the succulents. I hope they like them. This is my first attempt but I am pleased to think I actually did this! Be kind to one another.
