Merriest of Christmas to everyone. I hope you have a wonderful day and lots of stamping goodies. Let's give thanks for our Savior, the reason for the season. If you are traveling, be safe and I hope you are all in good health. Thank you for all your support during this last year and your great comments on this blog. I appreciate all of you so very much and hope to see you all in the coming year. Be kind to one another.

Today is my free day before I start cooking. I'm going out to get a new battery for my flashlight and Mason jars . I know this is a strange opening but I'll tell you why. Doesn't have a thing to do with cards so you can skip this paragraph.  When I take Molly out before bedtime I use a flashlight to scan the common area behind our house and the fence that encloses the field to the right of me. We have coyotes in that field and they come out mostly at night although twice I've seen them in the daytime. I scanned and everything was fine so she went out. I had just closed the storm door and she was right by our fence when a coyote came between mine and the house next door and was right along side of her. When I shined the light on it, it slowly walked out in the common area and across the backyard, then turned to watch us. I could see those red eyes shining in my flashlight. Molly walked all the way across the backyard and was totally unconcerned. As I went across the yard to get her (because of course she didn't come when I called her) another coyote ran across the common area on it's way to the fence. My heart was beating so hard and I was so scared. I drug Molly inside and I guess they went on about their way. The part I hate is that it came from between the houses and I didn't see it until it was right on us. I'm so thankful it didn't get in the yard. Don't know what I would have done. So I want to at least get a brighter flashlight. The jars are for my crock pot apple butter for the neighbors that I will make tomorrow. This is long I know but I didn't know how to shorten it and still tell you what happened. I will be teaching Molly to use the toilet after the first of the year!

This is an easy card we made in the Stampin Up class. I do like the unconventional colors and the big sentiment. It kind of explains itself. Be kind to one another.

We are getting down to the nitty gritty this week. Everything is done except wrapping and cooking. The wrapping is getting started or hopefully done today and the cooking will be next weekend.  It is nice not to be running around at the last minute.

This card is made with paper and the wood reindeer from the Scrapping For Less kit. I punched a scalloped oval out for the mat for the reindeer and added a bit of red bling to his nose. Be kind to one another and to yourself this week,

My granddaughter came yesterday and made five cards. She is much better at it than I am. She will be back next week if she can to make a few more and I will take pictures of the ones she made. She puts things together that I never thought of and I'm so impressed.  While she did that I finished addressing the last of my Christmas cards and got them in the mail. Now it's on to wrapping everything and shopping next week for food for our meal. I got the tree up and the decorations around the house Monday so that is finished.

This card was so easy. I don't know about the snowflake pattern paper but the sentiment came from my SFL kit and the sequins I had in my stash. That's it. Be kind to one another.

Yesterday was the anniversary of hubby's passing two years ago. It's hard to believe it has been two years. You think you won't be able to  go on with your life but you do. You always love and miss your loved one but I have wonderful memories and fun stories that the boys and I share with the grands. I truly believe that crafting helped me through some of those dark days. It gave me something to do and the support from my blogging friends helped so very much. It made me realize that sometimes when I just make a card for my stash, that card will be so uplifting to someone who is sick or going through a really sad or bad time in their lives. Never, ever underestimate what you do.

This card today was such a fun one to make. I have had this paper with the words to Deck the Halls for a long time and can't tell you anything about it. When I saw the falalalala die from Lawn Fawn I knew exactly why I needed it. I die cut several and layered them together. I intended to cover it with Glossy Accents but my bottle is almost empty. Hard to believe but I haven't had a craft order or been out to the stores all month so I couldn't do that. It is just plain ole, plain ole cardstock. Still, I love this card. Be kind to one another.

Comcast came yesterday and got the TV issues fixed. So one by one I am getting the electronic things in order. Wow, I am so dependent on the computer and TV and you don't realize until they aren't working. Today I hope to get to the PO and pick up my package.

This card was inspired by Angie from http://cimbacreativefun.blogspot.com/. She makes the cutest cards and since I had this die and thought her card was so cute, I decided to make a Christmas card with it.  The die is from Poppy Stamps called Gentle Leaf Collage and the sentiment is from my SFL kit. I added pattern paper that I thought looked like snow behind the die and added some snowflake sequins also from the kit. Be kind to one another.

I would like to welcome a new follower to my blog. She also has candy that you can see on the right. I hope you can go visit and welcome Pauline of http://craftingwithcotnob.blogspot.co.uk/. I know you will enjoy seeing her cards.

After one hour, 39 minutes and 15 seconds on the phone with support some of my issues are fixed. Some are not. He transferred info from my old computer to the new one. Not everything transferred so I lost a lot of my stuff. The old computer has not completely bit the dust so I'm hoping to still get everything. In the meantime, Comcast is on the way to see why one, just one, channel keeps fracturing and the sound is dropping out. I am also unhappy with the post office but they don't know it yet. I got a card in the mail yesterday that they are sorry they missed me. If the postperson had gotten out of the truck and actually walked up to the house and used the doorbell they would not have missed me since I was here all day. That is so frustrating. Enough ranting for now. Tomorrow might bring new rants!

This card is all Lawn Fawn except the mantel. I used a Poppy Stamps fireplace die for it and cut a circle for the rug the dog stands on. Be kind to one another.

I spent all day yesterday configuring the new computer with what I know (ha). Today I have my list of things to ask when I call HP support. I'd better eat lunch first! There is something called Bing that won't let me search for anything. It keeps saying it can't find the page or it can't share. The easiest thing was loading the pictures. I plugged in the camera cord and it did it's magic. So I am able to share a card today. I used American Craft pattern paper, Stampin Up Bethlehem edgelits dies and a Memory Box Star of Wonder cut from DCWV metallic pack. The bottom layer of the die is popped up. Be kind to one another and be patient with me. I could not comment on some of the blogs this morning because they were grayed out. Don't know why yet. Ain't nobody got time for this, I need to finish my Christmas cards!

Sunday, December 3, 2017

Just got a new computer. Windows 10. So different from my old one. It is taking me forever to get used to everything and to find everything. I haven't had to call them yet but it will be coming. I haven't gotten any pictures downloaded yet. I hope to do that today. Please check back, I'll get the hang of it. I hate to break in a new computer. Or is it breaking me in? Or is it just breaking me period? I will win. Be kind to one another and do not throw computer out the window.

Granddaughter Lauren is out of surgery, back home and everything went well. She did not like the IV put in her arm but otherwise said she was asleep so she was happy. She was hungry when she woke up since not eating the day before!

I wanted to go ahead and share another card made with SFL kit.  The tree paper, sequins and Happy Holidays were in the kit. I added glitter to the Impression Obsession die cut trees and matted on vellum. Very simple and easy. Having things that co-ordinate makes things so easy. Be kind to one another.

Sue of http://suescardcraft.blogspot.com/ reminded me I could play at merry monday christmas challenge with this color combo. Thanks, Sue.

Tuesday, November 28, 2017

I would like to welcome Sylvia of http://sylviadepooh.blogspot.com/ as a new follower. I visited her blog and I love the sympathy card she posted on November 9th. Maybe you could pop in and see her.

I had the lunch that was postponed with my granddaughter yesterday. She is so much better and we are glad since she has knee surgery Thursday.  She was diagnosed last year with a knee sprain. She wore a brace and went to PT for a long time. The knee has been bothering her all this time and when she went back to Dr. it was found to have a break. I don't know the details but they are going to fix it for her.  She is also the one whose car was totalled last week! This was her second car. Her first one drowned when it was at a repair shop and the rain flooded the property it was parked on. She can't catch a break!  Well, actually she did, it was in her knee. Thank you for all the get well wishes sent her way.

Today's card is another one from Scrapping for Less  (SFL). This darling little otter was a stamp set included. The background paper looked somewhat like water to me and I matted him on vellum so it would show through. I colored him with Copics and the ribbon is from my stash.  Be kind to one another.

Saturday, November 25, 2017

I did not venture out yesterday on Black Friday. I did, however, do some shopping online so I am pleased to have that done. We had a nice time on Thursday but one of my granddaughters is very sick so she wasn't able to come and her mom stayed home with her. So we were two short but my grandson brought his girlfriend so it was nice to have her with us.

I want to share two cards I've made with my first Scrapping For Less card kit. I love the papers in this kit and on these two cards I reversed the two pattern papers. On one I used the checked strip from the top of the sheet in the middle and on the other for the center strip I used the gold tape included. I added red Stickles that were also included in the kit. The sentiments are ephemerma in the kit. Be kind to one another.

Thursday, November 23, 2017

As you can tell from my post yesterday, I have a lot to be thankful for so before I mosey into the kitchen to start our feast I wanted to wish all my US friends a wonderful, Happy Thanksgiving. I never dreamed when I started my blog I would "meet" so many wonderful people. I say it every year, but cardmakers are the greatest people ever. I truly value all the friendships I've made in this blogger world and hope to continue meeting many more. For my friends in places all over the world, I wish you a wonderful, happy, crafting day.

Wednesday, November 22, 2017

Wow, Thanksgiving is upon us and I'm ready. Our family has so much to be thankful for and it came home to us again yesterday . My granddaughters boyfriend had just dropped her off at home and was taking her car back to campus. He was on the interstate when an 18 wheeler lost a tire that came right through his windshield on the passengers side.  I'm so thankful he was not injured and that my granddaughter wasn't in the car with him.  He was shaken up pretty bad and the car is totalled. You see that on the news and never think it could happen to you or yours. So I thank God for being with him in the car.

This is the second card I shamelessly CASE'd and it was from Dawn Griffith
at https://dawnsstampingthoughts.net/. The image on the front is stamped in Versamark with a Stampin Up stamp called Night in Bethlehem and sponged over with soft suede ink by Stampin Up. The inside was done the same. So easy and it came out so pretty. There was no need to change anything about her card. Be kind to one another.

Monday, November 20, 2017

I have CASE'd two cards recently.  One is by Susan Itell at https://simplestampin.com/. She said she saw it in Houston and CASE'd it. I loved the clean, simple look of it. The blooms are Botanical Builders Framelits and this is so easy. I added some red bling to the centers and that was it. I can't find the other person I CASE'd from so I will try to find her today and post that card when I do. Be kind to one another.

I wanted to make a tag for the tagyoureit challenge. This was another perfect stamping day with heavy rain and a wind advisory for high winds. The only problem is the darkness. It was hard to get a good picture because it's so overcast and dark.

I used a black tag, Lawn Fawn wreath die cut from silver glitter paper DCWV and added red Stickles to the wreath. Silver ribbon is from my stash.

The second tag is a snowman and banner along the bottom from Scrapping For Less Kit. I added a Lawn Fawn hill with Stickles for snow. The tree is Impression Obesstion tree cut from DCWV green glitter paper.

The third tag is stamped with Memento ink and a Stampin Up stamp and sentiment. The star is gold embossing powder on white cardstock and die cut with Memory Box Star of Wonder small die.

I don't ususally make tags but I am pleased with these. Be kind to one another.

Isn't it funny how our minds work? I saw the word Sharp this week for the casology challenge. I thought of all things that are sharp and knew I didn't have anything that would work for that.  I woke up night before last and thought knitting needles are sharp! It took me a while to find that stamp but I knew I had it so I made a card for the challenge. For some reason my Copic ink ran a bit when I was coloring. That doesn't usually happen. The knitting stamp is Lockhart and the sentiment is The Cats Pajamas.  Be kind to one another.

Wednesday, November 15, 2017

I've got one more fall card to share. This is a Lawn Fawn stamp and papers. It seems to the first hint that fall is here when the pumpkin spice products come out! I just layered the papers and colored with Copics. I hope you are enjoying your pumpkin lattes too. Be kind to one another.

Sunday, November 12, 2017

We have a grungy, gray and to be rainy day here. In other words, a perfect stamping day. I have finally started my Christmas cards. This may be the earliest I have ever started them. I sometimes struggle with challenges trying to decide what to make. This last week has surprised me by having a stamp pop into my mind when I see a word or sketch. That is so NOT me that I have to enter when it slaps me in the face like that. Today I am sharing a card for http://casology.blogspot.com/ with Tiny as the word. I had gotten out all my Christmas stamps and here is this cute little stamp from Your Next Stamp that I wanted to use. I colored him with Copics and added Distress Ink over the sentiment.  He has Glossy Accents on his nose and black Enamel Accents on his eyes. Be kind to one another.

Semper Fi. Always Faithful. Today is the Marine Corp. birthday and my hubby was a Marine so we always knew what today was.  Thank you to all who served in our Armed Forces for today and Veteran's Day tomorrow.

I found another challenge I would like to enter. It is http://fusioncardchallenge.blogspot.com/ and the theme is Grateful. My stamp says Thankful but that is the same to me as being grateful. I followed the sketch for the challenge. Be kind to one another.

Thursday, November 9, 2017

I would like to welcome a new follower to my blog this morning. She is Judy of http://judyscardcorner.blogspot.com and I hope you can visit her blog and say hi.  She is a design team member for CASology and on her blog Tuesday she had stunning pictures of the Northern Lights and the Milky Way seen from Iceland!

I'm sharing a card today made from a stamp I borrowed. I have returned it but I think it was a Stampendous cling stamp and I don't know it's name. I embossed it in white e/p and brayered on Distress Ink in three fall colors. The leaf is a die from Poppy Stamps called Majestic Maple and is also sponged with DI and the greeting is Lawn Fawn. I used a sponge brayer on the background and I love it. It is small so it's much easier to use for me than a larger rubber one. It gets into small places and it so lightweight. I love it when I find a new product that is so easy to work with, does the job well and is inexpensive. Be kind to one another.

What a weather day we had here yesterday. Wind, the hardest rain I've ever seen and tornado warnings across the state with a few touchdowns. Thankfully we only had the wind and rain but that was enough. No injuries in the touchdowns. My heart goes out to the people of the Texas church shooting.

I wanted to enter a card for the http://inspiredbyallthelittlethings.blogspot.com/ challenge today. My friend Colleen of http://onesmileliftsaspirit.blogspot.com/ is the guest designer picked by Darnell so I couldn't wait to play. I love the colors of black, white and red. I used Memory Box dies Classic Staircase and Star of Wonder. The sentiment is Lawn Fawn and the stockings are from a monthly kit, Scrapping For Less. I added WOS to the red star for a bit of shine.  Be kind to one another.

Here is the inspiration picture - and here is my card.

Saturday, November 4, 2017

I wanted to get a card in today for the CASology Challenge this week. The word is List and I only have one stamp I thought would qualify so I wanted to enter.  It is a Stampin Up stamp and I added two punched hearts from Lawn Fawn and covered them with Glossy Accents. Darnell is the guest designer this week and she made a cute card for our inspiration, along with the other ladies too. Be kind to one another.

Friday, November 3, 2017

I wonder if you can identify what the first picture is I've posted today? It was an unfortunate accident I had in my craft room!

I'm finally getting into making  fall cards and hope I get them mailed before winter sets in. I'm not sure I will recognize winter when it gets here since our weather has been up and down for so long.  This is a card we made at SU class. Great fall colors and easy peasy. Be kind to one another.

In case you don't know what that is or have had that happen, it is washi tape in the dogs water bowl!

Tuesday, October 31, 2017

Happy Halloween. Don't eat all your trick or treat candy at once.   This is a very simple card with a Stampin Up stamp and greeting. I do love the shading on the pumpkins. We don't get the little ones in our addition to trick or treat and I miss seeing the cute little costumes and what they say when they come to the door. Be kind to one another.

Saturday, October 28, 2017

I'm thinking I'm feeling better. I had a bad episode of sweating, chest pain, short of breath, tingling in my arms and feet and feeling of nausea and a heaviness in lower abdomen. I believe now it was trapped gas that was so painful but after taking meds it did dissolve.  Several people have mentioned they have not heard of gas acting like that but I have had it like that before and so have several of my friends.  It's even gone up into my jaw before. Scared me that's for sure. I hope this isn't too much information.  I had to venture out yesterday to forage for food. It was 39 degrees and pouring down rain and today is suppose to be colder with a wind chill so I thought I'd better go yesterday. Today I hope to make some cards. I've started on fall cards for Thanksgiving. This card is masked off and sponged, then leaves stamped in black ink.  It is all Stampin Up. Be kind to one another.

Thursday, October 26, 2017

Not exactly out of the woods yet. New symptoms, can't seem to get diagnosis. Hope for the best soon.

This is another Halloween card. SU stamp and sentiment. The black bat is added because of smudge I accidently made when I stamped from the block. Be kind to one another.

Friday, October 20, 2017

I still have my pretty car as they sent the wrong part so maybe today. It's not a hardship!

This is getting back to Halloween cards. Now that I look I haven't made that many because it takes six for my family.  We made one like this at SU class but I have a Poppy Stamp kitty die so I used that to make this card.  Very simple with just the die for moon and kitty and some twine. Be kind to one another.

Thursday, October 19, 2017

I'm back in the world and trying to get caught up with everything. I took my car in for service since the light has been on for a while. After 55 minutes he came out and said my battery wasn't charging very well and didn't think it would make it through the winter. I didn't want to have to take it back so I asked them to go ahead and install one. Forty five minutes later he called me into the hallway and said they broke something installing the battery and they don't have the part. He was waiting for Enterprise to bring me a rental! Now I do have to go back! I have to say they gave me a sweet ride. This is a 2018 Chevy Malibu loaded. I don't care much about cars as long as they run but this could really sway me! Spoiled, that's what I am.  Be kind to one another.

Tuesday, October 17, 2017

I finally feel much better but did end up at the Dr. yesterday with a UTI. Probably from all the meds I'm taking. But I feel like this is coming to an end. Thanks for sticking with me through these medical reports.

We went to my son's Sunday for the day and had a great time. My family is so much fun and we laugh a lot. Unfortunately, I fell down!! If you remember the picture from July with my DIL and their two dogs and Molly - they tripped me up as I was getting Mollys leash off. They got between her and I and I just fell flat on that hardwood floor on my left side. Ribs are so sore and heels of my hands. No broken bones so I am grateful.

This is the card I made for my son's birthday. It is several Stampscape
stamps. You mix and match to make all kinds of scenes. I used sky and clouds, water, land, the fisherman and the fish.  I'm not a big scene maker but they got the idea. Be kind to one another.

Saturday, October 14, 2017

I messed up Mia's candy and tried to make it smaller but I couldn't delete the larger one. So I deleted the post and all that did was take away the post from yesterday. So here is the card I posted then.
Spinner card with the twine suspended between two bats.  Be kind to one another.

Tuesday, October 10, 2017

Still haven't bounced back but I think the meds are helping, once I got them! No energy and just want to take it easy for a few days.

Here is the last card I've made with the Art of Brett Weldele. That might be The Art of Brett Weldeele. The e's are kind of run together on the package so I'm not sure. The graveyard and bats are from that set and the skeleton hand is Memory Box that I used before. The sentiment is Northwoods.  The background is sponged with DI. Be kind to one another.

Sunday, October 8, 2017

I missed WCD yesterday and spent the morning very sick and the afternoon at Immediate Care. I got a nebulizer treatment, steroid shot in right hip and antibotic shot in left hip. Sent home with both in pill form which turned into a major snafu so I still don't have my meds and it is 10:45 am Sunday!

This is another card made with The Art of Brett Weldele. The background is smooshed DI and just a bit of Copic on her hat. Black cat from IO and the sentiment is from the same stamp set. I'm going to try to pick up meds today and watch Colts play. That is it! Be kind to one another.

Saturday, October 7, 2017

I had such a wonderful birthday and thank you for the beautiful cards you sent. It was a busy week since I had to cancel everything last week because I felt so bad. I was doing so much better and thought I was out of the woods but today got up with heavier coughing and still have all indications that the infection is still in my lungs. I will call Dr. Monday to see if I can get some help. My friend Marilyn is coming down Sunday for our monthly get together so I hope I can do that.

Here is one of my Halloween cards. The image is a stamp by The Art of Brett Weldele. This is a new stamp set to me and I've made three cards using it so far. The background is Distress Oxides. The sentiment is from Tim Holtz and the tree is a Lawn Fawn die. The bat and skull are stickers. It's not too traumatizing except the fangs in the teeth! Be kind to one another.

Wednesday, October 4, 2017

My cough is not as often now so I hope I am on the mend. I hear of coughs hanging on so I hope this is not going to be the case.

This is one of the cards we made at my first SU class. It was pretty easy, made by running c/s through an embossing folder, coloring and die cutting. It does make a cute little fall scene. I love the idea of a card buffet. We can make eight of sixteen cards any way we want. You could make eight of the same one if you wanted to. I like have the options. Be kind to one another.

Sunday, October 1, 2017

I wish I could say I am feeling wonderful but that is not quite the case. The cough is doing me in and it is not productive anymore. Now I don't know whether to supress the cough or get an expectrant. It is still in my lungs so I will be calling the Dr. tomorrow. It is wearing me out. I cough so hard but can't expell anything even though I am still rattling.

When I'm not coughing I feel okay so I ventured into my craft room. I was reminded that I have frantage by Pam the other day. Another NBUS product.  She used it on some leaves and it looks great.  So I got mine out but there are no instructions so I went to youtube. I used a Stencil Girl sunflower stencil and sponged color through it. Then I used Versamark ink to add sticky to it and sprinkled clear embossing powder over it, then added frantage in golds and the browns for the flower center. Then,  two unfortunate incidents happened. I didn't get quite enough powder all over and some of the gold did not stick. It is still flaking off. I used a SU wood mounted stamp for the sentiment and stamped it so crooked. I restamped it on c/s and inked around the edges and kind of fit it on so I was able to save the card. I will be trying to improve this technique since I love the look of it. Be kind to one another.

Friday, September 29, 2017

I am feeling somewhat better and not coughing quite as much.  I only took one nap yesterday so that is an improvement. I still have done nothing other than my PT exercises. Thank you all for the get well wishes.

This is another card I'm posting in .  We can only add three cards and this is my last one. I've used a Hero Arts stamp called Forest Background. On a plain white panel of cardstock I took Copic Markers and drew lines across in orange, yellow and tan. The yellow and tan lines didn't come out very dark and are hard to see. Then I stamped over them with the stamp in black ink and embossed in clear embossing powder. The sentiment is Poppy Stamps Give Thanks Brushed.  Very easy card and could be stamped on pattern paper. I may try that again with some autumn paper.  Be kind to one another.

Wednesday, September 27, 2017

I have been missing in action for several days. I have bronchitis and that is not a good thing for someone with COPD. My main activities for the past few days have been coughing, drinking water and going to the bathroom. In between I try to catch a nap. Nothing else going on here. I start the day by going to my favorite blogs and that lasts about 20 minutes interspersed with coughing. I finally give up so I am way behind in commenting. I drug myself to PT Monday and got some really great exercises to do for my neck and shoulder . I only mustered up enough energy to do them once yesterday instead of twice.  I started a Z pack yesterday and I feel somewhat better this morning but still coughing so hard it is scary.

Here is my IT'S HERE! card for today. It uses a lot of never before used schtuff. The moon is Altenew, the witch is Inkadinkado, the background embossing folder is WeRMemory Keepers inked a bit with Hero Arts Unicorn ink. The hand die is Memory Box Skeleton Hand and the sentiment is Tim Holtz. Wish you could have seen my desk when I finished this card! Hopefully I will be back with you soon, be kind to one another.

Sunday, September 24, 2017

It's that time of year again - .

I'm entering this card for it using a Hero Arts stencil that is older but never used. Also this is a new to me technique using Versamark ink to press through the stencil then brushing gold Perfect Pearls over the Versamark.  So it's kind of a twofer! I gold embossed the sentiment on black cardstock and added it to the front. I'm not playing for a prize, just happy to participate. Be kind to one another.
