Another thank you

I am lucky enough to have another thank you card to make since I got this beautiful stamp set from my dearest friend. This is Gina K Holiday Tapestry that is a Christmas set but how could you not use this image every single day. I had convinced myself to wait until next October to order it and what to my wandering eyes should appear - this stunning stamp set from my friend here! I love her and this set so much. Since I embossed the image in Zing mustard embossing powder on gray cardstock I am sending this card to the Color Hue challenge at the very last minute.

Another surprise

After my last post of the snow I got another unexpected surprise. The sun came out, the snow melted and then we got sleet! I'm sharing a picture of the patio right out the back door. Then it melted and it was just cloudy the rest of the day. This is spring?

I received a wonderful gift package from a friend and wanted to make her a thank you card. I used versamark ink and embossed the flower image and sentiment in gold embossing powder The gold across the top and bottom are from Dazzles that are sticker strips.  They have been sleeping in a drawer and I wanted to use them to enhance this card. The card picture was taken with my phone and I don't know how to make it the right size. I finally figured out how to delete pictures from my camera that was full and took the sleet picture with the camera. Hopefully, now I will take camera pictures from now on.

Snow?

Yep, snow. That's what we woke up to this morning. It's very heavy and maybe you can see the limbs on the tree bent down from the weight.  Thank you for all the prayers for Indy. Next is Louisiana and we would like to hope that is the end of mass shootings.

In a recent zoom we did foiling. I was glad because I have lots of foil and hadn't really used it. I messed up the first card I tried and then went simple with this card. This is Tonic mirror green cardstock with a die cut leaves image and sentiment. It's hard to get a good picture of shine. Then I did my leaves on the Twofer card I posted last and got better at foiling. Practice makes perf, well, better!

Our city is hurting

The Fed Ex shooting here is so terrible.  You never think it will happen where you live but those things are possible anywhere. Some of my friends that I've picked up at the airport have driven right by that facility as it is right by the airport. Prayers are needed for the families who lost loved ones and the people who are still in the hospital. Anyone who was there that night need them too. I hate to start off on  such a sad note but our city is reeling.

Today I'm posting my cards for twofercardchallenge . This month is leaves and there are so many choices to choose from. My first card is made by alcohol inks on yupo paper. Then I stamped a Gina K. leaf stamp on the yupo twice and embossed with gold e/p and die cut them out. Keeping with using up my stash I added the Robin's Nest embellishments along the bottom. The second card leaves were foiled, which I learned in a zoom class. It's hard to get a good picture but the foil is green and gold and I foiled both the leaves and sentiment.

Now I have four

I'm slow but moving forward. This is only four cards made for Christmas. Not a great start but better than not starting at all. This is for the caschristmascardchallenge that is rainbow this month. I used a Poppy Stamp Grand Madison Fireplace die for the mantel. The stockings and fire are Lawn Fawn. I colored the stockings with Copics and used a WOS pen for the white tops. Also added orange and brown WOS for shine to the fire after coloring with Copics. The bricks were made with a Stampendous metal stencil and blending brush. The sentiment is Impression Obession.

Seize the Day

I'm delighted to announce that my youngest grandson was sworn into the Marine Corp. a few weeks ago. He will be a reserve while he is in college going one weekend a month for training. Then he can decide what he wants to do from there. This is the card I made for him. My hubby, his grandpa, was a Marine so I had the stamp I used inside the card that says Carpe Diem, Seize the day from Verses Rubber Stamps. The decorations are from Paper House and the congratulation stamp is from my stash. He leaves the first part of June for boot camp.

Late Easter card

I have one more Easter card I didn't get posted. This was the last one I made this year. I colored the bunny with Copic markers and used an egg die to mount it on. The plaid paper is Lawn Fawn.

Happy Easter

I'm sending Easter Blessings to all of you today. I'm also posting a card that I've shown before but it is one of my favorite cards I've ever made. I couldn't decide if I liked it with the purple or white cardstock. The white card is brighter.

I hope you don't mind seeing it again. Have a wonderful day and I hope everyone can be with their families.
