Easter Bunny

This is an easy card made with a new to me stamp company. The bunny is from Hackney & Co. called English Garden. It has three bunny and three mice images. I stamped the bunny with Stampin' Up  River Rock ink and sponged on Baked Brown Sugar ink. The pink in his ear is Copic marker. I used Li'l Inker circle dies and Lawn Fawn plaid paper. The greeting is DeNami and the tail is Fun Flock. He seems disinterested  but maybe he is sleeping. It's hard to see in the picture but shows up okay IRL.  I was trying to make him soft like a real bunny.

House Mouse

Lots of sunshine today and it is warming up. Doesn't it make the day better when the sun is shining?

I  made this card for my granddaughter who loves House Mouse. I think I've used it before for her but she will love it. The stamp is by Stampabilities and called This eggs for you. I used Copics to color  the image and Dusty Concord and Peacock Feathers Distress Oxides to sponge the frame by Die Namics. Also used those colors to splatter and stamp the sentiment by Stampin' Up.

Last minute

Yep, it's last minute but I did this and want to post it. After watching the video about baby wipes and Julia mentioned trying the baby wipe technique, I got a much better image with ghosting. I sponged Ripe Persimmon Distress Oxide ink, then used a Tim Holtz burlap stencil with a baby wipe. Removed the stencil and let it dry. Whoopee - an image. The frame is Penny Black and I bought it because it reminds me of the edging on my grandma's pillow cases. But, I digress. The flower is by Gummiapan and layered three times. Sentiment by Stampin' Up. I don't know why I can't use a stencil spritzed and removed but this did work so I'm happy.

I'm sending it to

Oh deer

I want to wish CAS Christmas Card Challenge a very happy birthday as they celebrate their first year. There is a fun challenge by Susan using a deer on your card. This is my entry. I used two deer dies, one from Poppy Stamps and one from Memory Box. Lightly sponged around them and popped them up on a paper from a Carta Bella  6x6 pad. I cut a hill with a Lawn Fawn die and used Nuvo Golden Sunset glitter drops along the edge to mimic snow. Then stamped the Merry Christmas sentiment. I wanted to add birthday hats to the deer but that was too much!

I am also going to enter this in Christmas Kickstart.

All your eggs in one basket

This is my first entry for the CAS Watercolour Card Challenge. It started out okay but I boo-booed along the way. It is a My Favorite Things stamp and sentiment. Stamped in black ink and embossed, then water colored with Zig markers. I think the glue is showing through the vellum in spots. Then I had a pink circle frame to match the cardstock but I stamped the sentiment up to high so I couldn't use it! Duh. You learn from your mistakes. I hope I remember!

Top of the Morning to You

Happy St. Patrick's Day to all. I didn't make any St. Paddy's day cards this year. I have started on my Easter cards way ahead of time.

This teeny little purple piece inside the Tattered Lace die window is the best of my Ghosting piece. It is my third try and something I cannot seem to get right. It is a Tim Holtz doily stencil over sponged Distress Inks, then spritzed with water and the stencil removed. After a bit I used a paper towel over the paper. Only this part of the paper got the impression of the stencil so that's what I used rather than put myself through the trauma of trying again. I do love it though. The bunny is Impression Obsession and I used a pink Copic marker on his ears and a Doodlebug black pearl for his eye.  The sentiment is stamped in Stampin' Up ink with a Verve stamp. I am sending this to the CAS Stencil Challenge using stencils this month.

No drama

I wanted to get my cards entered into the Twofer Challenge today. I have started on Easter cards so I snuck one into the challenge. I used balloon dies from Simon Says Stamp and splattered Distress Inks in red, blue and green all over the front of the birthday card that says "Lets Party". Then I cut balloons from three different colors and stamped the sentiment from Lawn Fawn.  For the Easter card I cut one of the largest balloons I used on the first card from SSS and trimmed it into a cracked egg top. The stamp is by Stampendous, colored with Copics and fussy cut. I am getting better at fussy cutting as I usually chop off a limb or digit. The chick is intact and popped up in the egg. The black panel is cut with a Spellbinders die. I added Nuvo crystal glaze to his beak  (mouth). The sentiment is also from Stampendous.

There is no drama to report. But it's only 8:42 am.

I'm not giving up

The saga continues. They told me Saturday that Comcast would send a tech out to fix the phone and they would call me and let me know when he would be here. I didn't hear from them so I called yesterday since they didn't call Sunday when she said they would or Monday. Went through the prompts and was told I had to call a different number. Did that and went through the prompts again. That person had me do all the exact same things I did Saturday.  Then said they tried to call me Sat. and let me know when he would come but they got a busy signal. I asked what number they called. They called my home phone number that is not working!  He said they would call yesterday or today and let me know when someone is coming. I could not believe they called my home number, then just gave up and didn't schedule a person to come.

I know I probably share too much information and you may be tired of slogging through all this pitiful part of my life. It's even boring to me. When I read through the comments you leave, they are wonderful and uplifting but it makes me realize you are always have to say you are sorry. Sorry I'm sick, sorry I fell, sorry I'm so pathetic. This is my real life and I hope by sharing you all can relate that you are not alone when you deal with all this yucky life stuff. From now on, I'll put the card information first then you can just go on to the next blog. That way I'll still have a record of what went on when and you can skip all that. But for today, here is another card.

This is one of the SU class cards and it is meant to be encouraging. (I should put it in an envelope and send it to myself). Frogs seem to be popular in a big way right now and I was glad to make a card with him, but I didn't buy the stamp as I have a cute frog stamp already.

Edited:  Just got a call and my phone is fixed. It was a programming error and was fixed at their end without coming out.  All systems are working!

Oh My Gosh

OMG you have to laugh! My son sent me a text yesterday afternoon to ask if my phone was working. Actually, it's NOT. So of course I had to call Comcast. That sound you hear is me screaming! They are sending a person out tomorrow to fix the problem that is in their equipment. I'm hoping this ends soon. Can you imagine. I'm sure you all can since I got so many comments about trouble you have had with your providers. Can't live with them and can't live without them. So it goes.

This is another card we made in SU class. I didn't put a sentiment on it since I don't know who gets it or what I'll use it for. I like having cards on hand if you suddenly need one.

No longer friends

Nope, I am no longer friends with Comcast. I have been on the phone with them four times for more than an hour each time and also made a trip to the Comcast store. I had issues with the phone, TV and computer. We spent hours on the phone only to find that I am not the primary person on the account and didn't have permission to change anything. After I went to the actual store they deleted the original account and made me a new one. When I got home, nothing worked because of the change. Back to the phone. What a week! I do still have the account and the good news is they lowered my rate since I am now a new subscriber. Only one more thing to fix and I'll be good.

This is a card we made in Stampin' Up class. I love the combination of colors and the card is versatile. Sometimes I don't use the sentiment in class because I don't know what I'll use it for. I really love the new doily die cuts.

Stained glass

The stained glass challenge this month has the most beautiful cards and I couldn't wait to play. I followed what Loll did by using alcohol inks on acetate. Then I die cut the image from a Penny Black die four times in white c/s. I adhered three together and added them over the acetate when it was dry. Then filled the openings with Nuvo crystal glaze. When that was dry I added the fourth die cut. The stamp is Avery Elle. For this challenge I used die cuts, stamping and stained glass. This is a great challenge. Happy Birthday to the CAS mix up card challenge's third birthday. Doesn't the time fly by?

Mother Nature

Mother Nature is in a frenzy right now. Rain and snow abound from the west coast to the east coast and down south. Please take care and be safe. I always wanted to take a class on weather but never did.  Something so wild and untamed that we have no control over.

Another birthday card made in my Stampin' Up class last month. It is so springy and that's what we need right now. Bright colors always cheer me up in these cloudy days.
