Happy Halloween

It's a frosty start to Halloween this morning. We don't get trick or treaters in my neighborhood and I miss seeing the little ones all dressed up. Covid has changed so much this year and some of the little ones are disappointed not to get to go door to door.

This is my last Halloween card. I only made them for the grands and family this year. It's my favorite season but I couldn't get excited this year and only made easy quick cards. This one uses the Simon Says Stamp gnome, a die cut pumpkin in pattern paper and a crow from Little B. The bale of straw is paper I've had in my stash for a long time and still have one more 12 x 12 sheet. I used a pumpkin embossing folder for the background and added a few orange gems.  Don't eat all the leftover candy at once!

Fancy fold

I rarely make fancy fold cards but I saw this on pinterest and though it would be a fun Halloween card.  I fussy cut an image from Stampin' Up paper and used it as the focal point. Added a bit of glossy accents to his hat for shine. I mounted it on an orange circle and used pattern paper to decorate the rest of the card. The cardstock is SU and I used some of it to die cut the frame around the circle.

Easier Peasier

If Tuesday's card was Easy Peasy this one is easier peasier. I just used pattern paper and that was it. I've looked through all my papers and cannot find the pack this came from and it was just last week! I think the rain is getting into my brain and making it mush. It is so damp and cold we broke out the blankets to be cozy warm.

Halloween Week

This is always a fun week for TV getting to see everyone dressed up in costumes. Sometimes they have the little ones on dressed up in such cute things and I love seeing them. It is so hard to believe this month is almost over.

This was a quick card to make. I'm learning to use pattern paper to make quick cards and start using up the paper. It's embarrassing how much 6 x 6 paper I have and I hate to cut it up. I made myself a resolution I wouldn't buy one more pack until I really make a dent in what I have. Of course, that was a resolution for 2020 and this year is almost over! Ha. So this is a teeny little dent! It is paper from a Recollections pack I got at Michael's last year. I like that the sentiment is already on it. The only thing I did was stamp the crow and bat and add the Gothic Gate die cut in black c/s from Poppy Stamps. Easy Peasy.

From Halloween to Christmas

I am battling a cold and have had no energy all week. Today I feel better and my order came and inspired me to get busy and stamp. I am entering these cards for Twofer and the birds in CAS Christmas card challenge -  birds. Twofer is silhouettes.

I used a Memory Box die called Grove Branch for the silhouette on both cards. The Halloween scene used a very old wood mounted stamp set from SU and random stickers for the Boo. The branch is used as lightning to make it spooky.

The branch is used for a perch for the Picket Fence birds singing their Christmas Carols. The sentiment and music notes are Lawn Fawn. Going to take a nap now.

Typical Fall Day

I just got back from getting  my groceries in the rain. It is so fall ish with the rain, wet leaves falling off the trees and so chilly and damp. A great day to be inside.

This is a card I made for a dear, sweet friend that has arrived already. The die is from another dear, sweet friend and the paper is from an older 6x6 paper pad. I used confetti cardstock because it kind of went with the plaid even though it is somewhat thin. It is a Lawn Fawn sentiment. I just wanted to use my favorite things for her card since she is one of my favorite friends.

Spooky bat

I wanted to play in the CAS Mix Up October Stencil Challenge that is using stencils and tone on tone. For this card I used a Crafters Workshop stencil and dark gray inks to make a spooky background. The bat was die cut with a very old sizzix die, the kind of steel die with yellow plastic around it! I emobssed it and added red cardstock behind his eyes, then glossy accents. The sentiment is from My Favorite Things. Got another Halloween card finished.

Sliding in

I am so behind in this month. When I saw Twofer yesterday I was mortified to realize I hadn't paid bills this month! There was so much going on and I just forgot. (Could this be what they call a senior moment)? So here I am with only a few days to go in the Color Hues Challenge.

The third challenge is Gold and Cream so this is my card. I die cut the leafy branch from Stampin' Up and the pumpkins and overlays from Penny Black in both gold mirror and cream cardstock. Also die cut the sentiment from Lawn Fawn in gold mirror card stock. I layered the cream leafy branch over the gold one and reversed the pumpkins base and overlays. Fall is such a beautiful time of year here and I love making fall cards.

Back to Fall

I will always be in baby mode from now on but I'm getting on with the cardmaking. This is a Newton's Nook Fall stamp set and since it's the first time using it I will share at

I stamped two of the images and colored with Copics. I used a stencil from LDRS called Rainy Day to create the cloud background.

A little break

I took an unintended break from the computer this past week. My family came on Saturday to celebrate all our family birthdays for this year. Some of them I hadn't seen since Christmas. So after seeing Sammi on Wednesday I had grocery shopping, cleaning and cooking to get ready. All that activity wore me out so there were a few naps involved in my daytime routine too. It was wonderful to see everyone and we were passing cards around for everyone.

This is the card I made for my son and daughter in law as the new grandparents. I didn't get a very good picture and the card is gone so I can't retake it.

Be safe, cases are going up again.

Meet my great granddaughter

She is here! Born last Wednesday and of course she is an angel! Sweet little girl and I held her for an hour and she slept right through it. Lots of dark hair and so wonderful.

This is the card I made for mom and dad.

And something they put on her pink dresser
