Leaves for Fall

I've been working on my cards for this month's Twofercardchallenge with prompt word Leaves. When leaves start falling and football is on TV it is Fall no matter what the calendar says. For my first card I used a cut apart from an Echo Park 6x6 paper pad and leaf die from Poppy Stamps. I covered the leaf with red and gold gilding flakes. On my second card I used the same die and sponged DOX in peeled paint, dusty concord and spiced marmalade, then added a strip of plaid paper from Lawn Fawn. The sentiment is Simon Says Stamp.

Be kind to one another.

Two beautiful fall designs, Brenda! Plaid just works for fall, doesn't it? I mean I love plaid any time, but especially in the fall. I love how you just did a partial panel with it on your thankful card to add interest, but let that incredible schparkly leaf be the star of the show! It must be magnificent in real life! And your get well card is uplifting and charming with the gorgeous leaf bouquet and the colorful plaid "vase!" I love them both!! Thank you so much for playing in Twofer Card Challenge #9! Hugs, Darnell

Such pretty cards Brenda!! LOVE the sparkle and shine from your gilded maple leaf. AMAZING!! Looks fantastic again the dark brown card base. Your second card is such an interesting mix of colours. I would never have thought to put together green, purple and orange on leaves. It's AWESOME! Beautiful card that will definitely cheer up the recipient. Thanks for playing along with us at Twofer Card Challenge! xx

Wonderful leaf die and you used it so well on both of your gorgeous cards. The gold gilding looks amazing on that leaf. And the other card is beautiful as well.

Wow Brenda, both of your twofers are amazing! I love the glided maple leaf, so stunning! The plaid you paired with it works so well with the mica flakes, yep-looks like fall with your card! You are right, when leaves are falling and football is on, it's fall. Love your second card as well, the leaves are inked up to perfection-looking so real. I love the colors you used on these leaves and the plaid as well. Looks like you drew out those colors from the plaid for your leaves, so beautiful together! Well done once again Brenda! Hugs, Brenda

Such gorgeous maple leaves. I really like the sparkly-one and I'm loving your design layouts on both cards. Pretty autumn background papers, and 2 wonderful 2fer cards. (We had just a misty rain for most of Sunday; we needed that kind of rain as the ground had become very dry. Not much wind at all, but we still have leaves all over the lawns. No flooding in our area, but the power went off briefly, and the internet was sketchy for a little while.Think that was the provider rather than the power company though. Teacher "No Johnny I have no pencils, we have no pencils, they have no pencils"
Johnny " Well whose got all the pencils then?"

Your cards both have that wonderful feeling of fall, but show it in such different ways! Those gilding flakes create such a dazzling leaf, and the oxides look so organic! I love how even the plaids are so different! Thanks for coming over to play with us at the twofer Card Challenge!
