Playing with Perfect Pearls

You know how you buy a product when everyone is using it, use it a few times, then put it away and forget about it. That happened with my Perfect Pearls. I had forgotten how easy they are to use and the beautiful results you get with them. I recently got to do a class with my zoom mates and we made cards using them.

This card is gold PP spritzed with water on my craft mat, then smooshed on black card stock. I used a Simon Says die with gold card stock and left some of the leaves out to be able to show the background. Stamped the sentiment with Versamark ink and brushed the gold PP over it.

This card uses a Poppy Stamps Majestic Leaf die. It was covered in Versamark ink then I swiped gold, red and green PP over it very gently. The background is DCVW burlap paper and the bow is Stampin' Up Copper Trim mesh ribbon. I am not sure if this will be a sympathy card yet so I'm not adding the sentiment.

My last card are pumpkin die cuts from Penny Black stamped with Versamark and copper and green PP added. I don't know the name of the pattern paper but the rest of the scene is Lawn Fawn. I stamped the sentiment right on the pumpkins.

This was so much fun and I've since made two more cards using PP. I hope you can visit my zoom mates and see what they created.

Be kind to one another.

Beautiful Perfect Pearl cards Brenda!! The gold PP looks so beautiful on the black card stock. Very elegant. Love that you left off some of the leaves. Your maple leaves are gorgeous with the three colours. Perfect over top of burlap! And your pumpkins are so shiny and beautiful! Adorable fall card with your scarecrow and fun patterned paper! Looking forward to next month's Zoom! xx

These are all so rustic and textured and perfect for fall cards, Brenda! I love what you did with your black PP panel! I keep turning mine over in my hands because the shimmer of the PP on the black is amazing, so thanks for the design idea! I love that you used burlap (another overlooked item in my Playhouse!) with those stunning maple leaves and coppery mesh ribbon and your final sweet scarecrow with two shiny punkins is an adorable design! Looking forward to our next session as Zoommates!! Hugs, Darnell

Wonderful set of autumn cards using a great mix of techniques. I haven’t used PP in a while too... may have to dig them out.

I love the gold smooshed on the black, Brenda! You got just the right amount of pearls to look elegant with those gorgeous leaves! Love, love, love that stitched maple leaf on the burlap paper! So rustic and perfect for Fall! Your scarecrow is such fun with his shimmery pumpkins! It was fun and I can't wait to see what else you've done with the pearls!

Beautiful with the gold pearls on the black card Brenda, and love that leafy die cut with some open leaves to show off that gorgeous background, and your maple leaves look so pretty with the gold red and green on them, and then the fun harvest card with the shimmery pumpkins. The perfect pearls look great on all of them, and the zoom meetings are a wonderful idea. x

A fabulous collection of cards Brenda, they are so pretty and yes, I think we are all guilty of buying things, using them a couple of times and then forgetting about them. Your Fall card is very sweet, such a cute scarecrow.
It seems like your zoom classes are paying dividends,

I've never tried PP can you believe it? LOL These are all so pretty, especially those autumn leaves! The die-cut missing several negative portions does indeed make a great look, all cards are just beautiful and I'm glad you had fun creating them!

Wow Brenda, you ladies have really came up with some fabulous cards using the pear powders! I love your first card, the black really shows the gold powders off! Love that die too. You fall leaves card on the burlap is so pretty, I bet it really shimmers in real life. I love your last card, such a cute scene with the scarecrow and I love how you did your pumpkins with the perfect pearls. Great ideas!!! Hugs, Brenda

Brenda, your leaves are especially striking, I had forgotten about PP's...why? Just as you said, a trend comes along, we use them then we put them away, so glad you all revitalized this technique! Fabulous cards my friend!

What a fun thing to do, and so many fantastic cards as a result! I love the shimmery goodness, but I've only used them one time. I love how you used it for a background, a sentiment, and also on your die cuts! It's been too busy around here. Mom was in the hospital with sepsis, but she's home now and getting better every day.
