Before I get to my Twofer I want to thank everyone who commented on my candy corn post. OMG, I laughed so hard at the comments. You are all so great! Candy corn is my serious downfall and it scares me that it will be in the stores for seven more weeks, then on sale after that. I must be strong.
My post today is for the https://twofercardchallenge.blogspot.com/ and it is trees. My first card is Kaiserkraft paper and my trees are die cut in gold paper and wrapped in gold thread. I know where all the products I used for these two cards are from except the tree die. It was out of it's packaging and put on a magnetic sheet in my Art Bin. The second card is a fussy cut squirrel from Papertrey Ink, an acorn from Tim Holtz and leaves and the sentiment from Lawn Fawn, along with the same tree cut in brown card stock. I made the leaves with Brushos and Color Burst with a technique that Viv of https://vivsvisuals.blogspot.com/ did on her blog. My Brushos backgrounds always came out so dark so I tried wetting the paper, then sprinkling on the Brushos. I had more control but left some white space so I sponged over it with yellow ink. This is maybe too many leaves but I was so happy with them!
Oh dear, I am losing it! That tree die is from Stampin' Up framelits called In The Woods. Duh!
Be kind to one another.

Excuse me while I run to the kitchen to get a handful of BBQ chips...hahahaha!! Sorry. I'm still in candy corn mode! That's a glorious Christmas card, Brenda. I love all the gold and that bit of gold thread behind your trees gives your card that little extra something special. Very pretty. Nope. Not too many leaves either. They did turn out perfectly, didn't they?! Very cute squirrel, too. Love the Fall sky you've created here, and your tree looks just right in the background. Thanks for joining us at The Twofer Challenge, and go and buy more candy corn! You deserve it!! : ) Bev
Nope. Not too many leaves, Brenda, especially when they are this gorgeous! Well done and I love the blended scene you created! That is one happy squirrel lemme tell you. That acorn is big enough to feed his family all winter long! It's too bad you don't know where the tree die came from because it is stunning in gold! I love the whole Christmas card design with the pretty pp background wrapped in gold thread and topped by your golden winter trees! Thank you so much for playing in Twofer Card Challenge #31! Keep well! Hugs, Darnell
Hahaha, I just saw Bev's comment above where we used the EXACT same language about too many leaves. I'll bet everyone says that! xxoo
I am soooo glad you managed to put the Candy Corn down long enough to make these 2 cards Brenda! The gold trees are a great Christmas card and the poor squirrel will need big muscles to carry off that acorn!
Take care! x
LOL at Viv's comment above concerning the candy corn :) If you're anything like me, it was gone before the game was over anyway, right? LOL Seriously though - the trees are beautiful, especially the one done in gold! I especially like that chubby little squirrel tackling the acorn that's as big as he is! The autumn leaves are wonderful! Time to make yourself a note - must get more candy corn at the store for the next upcoming football game! *wink*
Fantastic twofer, dear Brenda! <3 I like elegant Christmas card. Perfect gold embossed trees. Your autumn card is so sweet! Great scene. An no, there are not to many leafs on the card. :-)
Stay safe! Hugs, Sonja
I love how you used the tree die - especially in the gold looks wonderful. Love your little scene too and I agree with others, not too many leaves.
You are too cute Brenda! Me thinks you need some more candy corn for the next game. I mean, it only comes along once a year, so might as well enjoy it! Right?!! I love your twofers!! That tree is amazing in gold, so beautiful is your Christmas card. I love the gold trees, the gold background and the gold twine-just gorgeous! Your fall card so cute, I love the background you made, it is amazing! Your squirrel is so cute with his huge acorn and definitely not to many leaves at all. They came out so beautiful!!! Your naked tree is perfect with this scene. Now I'm off to watch that video and learn how to make beautiful leaves like yours. Hugs, Brenda
I love your Twofers. That tree is used so beautifully on both. And one good thing about making multiple trips to get the candy corn is some exercise so you burn some calories off.
What fabulous cards, both of them. I love how your brusho leaves turned out and you can never have too many leaves x.
I love your elegant Christmas card, Brenda! The gold trees are so pretty against that awesome paper! That little squirrel looks pretty happy with that acorn! Love the pretty leaves! I'm looking forward to having some color in our trees. They are just beginning to look like they may be coloring up a bit.
Love your gold Christmas card! Wonderful gold trees and pretty font with the script background! And, your second card is so pretty in color with all the inking! Lovely background and leaves! Not too many leaves at all, so pretty! The squirrel with the acorn is too cute! We are happy dancing here with college football scheduled once again for next month! I say bring on the candy corn, LOL!!:-))
Two fabulous cards Brenda, the first one is so elegant and you have created a lovely scene on the second one.

Wonderful contrasting twofers. Your gold Christmas tree card is so classy. Your fall card is adorable and the amount of leaves is perfect.
Both of your cards are fantastic, Brenda! I love the gold trees and the elegant gold and white background together - just perfect! I see your squirrel hit the mother load with his big acorn too - one less lawn ornament in the neighbors yard, lol! I think the leaves are perfect, and I love the autumn sky! Thanks for joining in the fun with us at the Twofer Card Challenge! If you put some peanuts with your candy corn, you can justify a balance between protein and carbs with no guilt, right?
What a gorgeous rich background for your cute squirrel scene, Brenda ... the leaves that have fallen from the tree are delicious ... such a great sense of texture from the brusho treatment you gave them! Your Christmas card is stylish, elegant and so luxurious in the gold ... love how you created the 'horizon' with the gold thread wrapping! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Twofer! Hugs, Anita :)
Two very different cards Brenda. An elegant Christmas card and lovely bright funsquirrel card.
Two beautiful tree cards Brenda! I LOVE them die-cut from gold paper with the gold script background. Gorgeous and elegant! LOVE the blended background for the autumn coloured sky with your second card. That squirrel is so cute! xx
