Creative Heat Embossing

I am so happy to be in the launch of groupofsevencardmakers today. I hope you enjoy visiting and using some of the techniques we have tried. Loll has listed them on the sidebar and I'm sure you have most of the things we have used right in your craft rooms.

These are the cards I made for Creative Heat Embossing this month. On the first card I swiped my Versamark pad randomly along the sides of a panel, then embossed with WOW Primary Sherbert embossing powder. The tulips are die cut from gold cardstock with a Penny Black die. I saw this technique on a card but cannot find it now. If it is yours, please let me know so I can give you credit.

The second card background was made by plastic wrap all crumpled up and smooshed in Versamark, then I pounced around randomly first not covering the entire panel and embossed with Zing Grapefruit e/p. Then pounced again in some of the bare spots and embossed with Wow Primary Sherbert e/p. I cut a heart with a Die-Namics die and stamped a greeting with a Lawn Fawn stamp.

Be kind to one another.

I LOVE the first card with the swipes of your versamark pad. It makes for a very artistic and modern background ... especially with the fabulous Sherbert colour of embossing powder!! The gold die-cuts just sing on this background. The Valentine's card is so pretty with the mix of pink and red embossing powders for the background, and then repeating the colour with your pink heart with red sentiment. Beautiful cards Brenda!! xx

I just love the sherbert color with the gold on your first card Brenda - what a great background just using the Versamark pad - very graphic looking! and your mix of colors for your valentine background is so pretty! Isn't it fun learning how to create different backgrounds with this technique! Julia xx

Now I can't wait to do this technique again with all my various colored e/ps! Both of your glossy designs are beautiful, Brenda! From a distance that heart design looks like the background is made from lipstick smooches! Fun! Hugs, Darnell

Wow Brenda, I'm in awe of that elegantly contemporary with the gold flowers. Both cards are beautiful but that one just jumped off the screen ♥

I love the artsy background done with the ink pad, Brenda! A great idea and a perfect background for these pretty tulips! The second background is perfect for a valentine! I love how you mixed the pink and red embossing!

Your tulip card is sort of like color blocking but with a more artistic flair. I love that color of embossing powder. the heart is more of the random look but I think I like the tulips best. Great cards. TFS on this new blog.

The first card is so artsy and modern with the embossing powder in almost blocks down the sides. Love the gold tulips and sentiment. And the mix of pink and red on the second one is perfect for Valentine's day.

I have been to visit the new blog and love that all these techniques are in one spot. So much easier to find now! Both of your cards are very cool and beautiful Brenda! You have some interesting embossing powders. I love the names, although they could make one want sherbert or grapefruit. Both of which I love. LOL Hugs, Brenda

I love your inky swipes of the pad and then heat embossed which frames your beautiful tulips brilliantly, Brenda, and the combination of red and pink embossing using scrunched up cling film makes a wonderful background to your pretty pink heart and a lovely valentine sentiment..perfect! x
