Happy 2023 Everyone

I wish everyone good health, love, time with family and lots of crafty time for the new year. I hope you had a wonderful holiday and are ready to start all over again.

I've spent a lot to time on Facebook since my grandson went to Boot Camp. They are really great at keeping you informed about what your recruit is doing each week and posting pictures. I've only seen one picture of him so far. A lot of the pictures are taken from far away to get the whole group in so it's hard to tell who's who. I've been sending him letters via Sandboxx but, of course, I send cards too. This is the latest. He's starting his sixth week and it is pretty hard. This is a Whipper Snapper image and a Honey Bee sentiment. We want him to have lots of mail so mom, dad, sister, me and friends are all writing and sending cards. They don't have much free time but he has sent three letters that I cherish.

Turning vegan could be a misteak.

Edit: I want to play at NBUS

Be kind to one another.

It sounds like communication between recruits and family has come a long way and that's a good thing! Such a fun card with a great theme for your DGS. Happy New Year!

So glad they allow them to get letters as I thought at one time they didn't. Wonderful he's been able to write to you. Pray things go well for him!

I saw your encouragement card at the NBUS challenge, Brenda, and had to drop by to say "HOW DARLING!" Many thanks to your grandson for choosing to serve. He will love mail call, receiving fun cards from his grandma. So thoughtful of you! I couldn't help but chuckle at your pun regarding Vegan. LOL I enjoyed browsing your blog today and have become your newest follower!

He will love this card, Brenda, and it will help him tremendously. It's wonderful that you are able to see on FB what he is up to and what he is going through and it's great that everyone is able to get letters back and forth from home in seconds. Even so, it's still hard. Making / receiving homemade cards will be therapeutic for both of you! Love, Darnell

What a sweet card for your grandson! I’m sure he appreciates all the family sending letters and cards! Once he gets through boot camp, I’m sure he will be proud as all his family will be, too! I remember my husband and two nephews going through boot camp. We thank your grandson for his service to our country! Take care, hugs!!

I'm so glad to hear that your grandson is doing well at Boot Camp! I also love that they are really great in keeping the families informed about what your recruit is doing & posting photos. That wasn't always the case. We had to buy a CD of Basic Training when my oldest joined the Army. I have no clue what Sandboxx is, so that much be new too. LOL Anyway, I'm so happy you get to see and keep up with him latest training! Your card is adorable and just perfect to sent to your grandson. I'm sure he is loving all the mail from home encouraging him. Hugs, Brenda
