A week swooshed by

Candy, cookies and cake - someone stop me!

Gosh, this year is going fast. A week has passed and I didn't post a thing. Covid has kicked my rear end and zapped my energy. I get tired so easy and have to nap. That's where I've been all week and hope to keep getting stronger.

I wanted to play at the colorhuesthecolorchallenge with these colors.  I love the combination of pink and gold. I think it's so perfect for Valentines so that's what I made. I used a Frantic Stamper Double Diamond die for the panel and a Die-Namic heart die. The sentiment is a Simon Stamp die. All were cut with the new Empress I got from my son and daughter in law for Christmas. I love it so much already.

What do you call a lazy kangaroo? A pouch potato.

Be kind to one another.

Keep napping and getting stronger Brenda!! You've created a beautiful love card. The gold foil card stock looks amazing with the details of the embossing. And your die-cut sentiment nestles perfectly inside the pretty pink heart. xx

Oooh, that's a warm and huggy kind of Valentine card, Brenda! I love all that texture! I, too, can't believe a week of the new year has gone already, nor that I haven't posted since the middle of last month. At least you have a valid excuse! I hope you continue to take it easy and rest whenever your body needs it so you can get stronger. Can't wait to hear all about the new Empress ~ what a great gift ~ and I loved the joke!! Love, Darnell

I have no idea what an Empress is, but oh boy did you make a gorgeous card with it! Totally love this, Brenda! Hopefully you'll soon have more energy. Our neighbors had the same problem after Covid.

I do hope you're feeling better. I'm a bit jealous of your new Empress. Your background is lovely. Thank so much for choosing Color Hues as one of your first challenges of the year.

Your card is just beautiful, and although Covid is not the way to kick off a new year, I hope you continue getting stronger each and every day! Take good care!

Hi Brenda, my neighbours 21yo son had covid for Christmas, he still doesn't look himself... I hope you are on the mend and have at least enjoyed the treats you have been eating! Love the beautiful gold and pink card. Have a wonderful week... Megan

The embossed gold is so elegant and makes such a perfect frame for your soft pink heart, my friend! Keep napping and get your energy back. See you tomorrow.

Did you get Covid again Brenda, or just the effects from having it earlier? Gosh I sure hope you are feeling well soon! I know they say lingering effects are the pits, so prayers to you sweet friend! Your card is stunning! I love the gold and pink together and I love that embossing folder or at least I think it is an embossing folder. The pink heart is fabulous with the "love you" in gold on it. Hurray! Glad you got such a nice Christmas present of the Empress! Got to love crafty Christmas gifts! Hugs, Brenda
