Birthday

Since working on Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and Valentine's cards, my stash of birthday cards is very sad and neglected. This is one that I made for my daughter in law's birthday. This card uses a SSS Vine Canopy embossing folder. I added colors to it with a finger dauber and the sentiment is SSS. The lace butterfly sticker is from a set I've had a long time called Jar Jewelry by Vintologie. It has a look of crochet and I added the blue stones to it for sparkle..

Thank you all for thinking of Yvonne. She is doing pretty well and keeping busy.  Her kitchen floor has flooded twice from two different things and she is replacing it again.

Give me coffee to change the things I can and tequila to accept the things I can't.

Be kind to one another.

Your crochet butterfly with its blue bling looks amazing on the embossed background! Trying to catch up yet again, I've been enjoying looking back at your cards and blog posts. I love your personal and special card to Yvonne. What a beautiful neighbor you are for her in her time of need. I'm sorry to hear about your finger - no one's got time for that! I love your jokes! I'm showing them to Gene because he always likes starting off his meetings with a quick joke! I hope you're doing well, Brenda!

Hi Brenda,
oh this card is glorious and such a beautiful design too.
I love that embossing folder used and you have coloured it fantasticly.
Your Butterfly is also gorgeous and so stunning and that sentiment is a very wonderful one as well.
Lots of crafty love and hugs from my house to yours. Jenny L.

Your card is stunning, Brenda. The butterfly is gorgeous. As I saw it first, I thought it is crochet in fact. Background is perfectly shaded with soft colors. You've added very nice sentiment for your doughter in law. The joke is great!

This is beautiful, Brenda! I'm so proud of you for using that crochet-look butterfly from your stash and then making it even prettier with the blue schparkle! And you did a great job with the finger dauber to make that e/f come alive! I hope Yvonne gets a break now from bad and sad news. Hugs, Darnell p.s. I'm stealing that hysterical closer!

What a beautiful card Brenda. I have quite a lot of embossing folders that have been sadly neglected for a long time, so thank you for the inspiration to get them dusted off again. The butterfly on your card is gorgeous and I bet your DIL will love it, as do I x

Oh Brenda, this is a beautiful card! I love how you "inked" up the embossing parts, so pretty, so soft. I really did think the butterfly was a crochet butterfly until I read your post, it is gorgeous! Sorry Yvonne, I'm so sorry to hear she has to replace her floor due to flooding. When it rains, it pours it seems and when you lose a spouse, that is when it seems like everything that can happen will happen. Keeping her in my prayers. Loved the joke, I feel like it could be very true at times! lol Hugs, Brenda

I had to take a double look at the butterfly after reading your post. I thought it was hand crocheted! It makes a fabulous card, especially with that colorful embossed background! I hope your neighbor Yvonne is doing well in spite of all the angst she's been through lately. She's lucky to have your support and kindness :) Now please pass that tequila ......

I love your little one liners, my friend! And I love this pretty butterfly and how you've colored the embossing. I always seem to make a mess when I try to color embossing. I hope you're not having flooding issues too.

Beautiful. The inking of the embossed background is so soft and pretty. Fabulous sentiment. Your DIL must have loved it! If she hasn’t received it yet, then she WILL love it!

Thanks for another fun quote.
