Our city is hurting

The Fed Ex shooting here is so terrible.  You never think it will happen where you live but those things are possible anywhere. Some of my friends that I've picked up at the airport have driven right by that facility as it is right by the airport. Prayers are needed for the families who lost loved ones and the people who are still in the hospital. Anyone who was there that night need them too. I hate to start off on  such a sad note but our city is reeling.

Today I'm posting my cards for twofercardchallenge . This month is leaves and there are so many choices to choose from. My first card is made by alcohol inks on yupo paper. Then I stamped a Gina K. leaf stamp on the yupo twice and embossed with gold e/p and die cut them out. Keeping with using up my stash I added the Robin's Nest embellishments along the bottom. The second card leaves were foiled, which I learned in a zoom class. It's hard to get a good picture but the foil is green and gold and I foiled both the leaves and sentiment.

Be kind to one another.

OH, wow, Brenda, those leaves are so pretty and sparkly. I love that fall one. I am filing that idea for some fall cards later. I don't know what the answer is about gun control but there are just too many of these tragedies. It is so sad.

Your alcohol inked leaves are so pretty with the veining stamped and embossed! And your foil leaves are gorgeous! You got such clean foiling! So many tragedies in our country and world lately. Prayers go out to the survivors, coworkers and families of those affected! And thanks for sharing with us at TTC!

Your leaves Twofer is stunning. You've made fantastic colors with alcohol inks. Leaves are just perfect. I like foiled leaves on the birthday card too. Great CAS. Thank you for joining us at Twofer Card #37. Hugs, Sonja

Sending hugs and prayers Brenda x.
Stunning cards and so creative and pretty. I was playing with alcohol inks, yuppo and heat embossing on the weekend but my yuppo melted!....I really must get the thicker one x.

I'm sorry for the terrible tragedy in your town. I hadn't heard about it because I stopped watching tv news months ago when it became too overwhelming for me. Your twofer is beautiful, and I love how you used the leaves on both cards! I need to pull my yuppo and alcohol inks out one day soon and have a play with them again! healing hugs to you!

Your cards are both so gorgeous! And, I am so sorry for your city and all of the families of lost ones. Our country is hurting and this type of thing is getting more and more common. Our world is getting so lost with hate and crime.

Wow your cards are stunning Brenda! I think the whole country is reeling. We are so broken and messed up here, our whole country needs prayers and some divine intervention! I was shocked to hear so many shooting around the country on the news last night. But on a happy note, you really nailed the challenge with your beautiful and stunning leaves! Glad you are okay. Dina goes into hospital this Sunday and will be induced on Monday! Looking forward to the new baby boy!! Heart hugs friend!!

I'm sorry one of the ongoing and tragic mass shootings in this country hit so close to home, Brenda. We don't even have 24 hours to reflect and mourn and another one happens somewhere else in the country. What a sad and insane picture we are presenting to the rest of the world.

But, thankfully, here in our community in Blogland there is peace and creativity and schparkle such as you've given us here! The shine and color on both your designs must be incredible in person and I love them both! (Hammy wants to know if he can come and stay with you while I'm on rest?!) And kudos to you for continuing to use your schtuff! Thank you for playing in TCC #37! Hugs, Darnell xoxo

So awful! I truly do not understand why people in the US think it's a right to have military style weapons. But I have no hope of it ever changing here no matter how many deaths. Life is precious & we must remember to say we love you. Speaking of which, it was so great to have family in our house now that we're all vaccinated! I love your beautiful leaves & both cards, Brenda! I recently tried again using my transfer gel & this time it actually worked!

Our city hasn't been involved directly, but Kenosha to the south, and the Temple shootings in Oak Creek just north of here are plenty scary enough. I'm so sorry that these things are happening, not only by you, but it seems they're becoming a daily occurrence nationwide. More prayers are needed, and I add mine to them.

Your cards are beautiful. I love the techniques you've used on both. I'm not-so-good with many techniques, so I really appreciate crafters who are masters of them...like you! And your color choices make my eyes and heart happy! Really lovely cards. I keep scrolling up to look at them again and again. Thank you for joining us at The Twofer Card Challenge. Stay safe. xo Bev

The glimmer and shine from the foiled leaves on your birthday card are fantastic ... delicious variegated colour that adds such dimension! Joining you in prayer following this tragic incident.
