Shorter comments

I will be making shorter or fewer comments for a bit. I'm having arthritic issues with my fingers and I hope it's just because the weather has turned colder. I've been making some cards and as long as I rest my hands for long periods I can do that just fine. This card was made with an Impression Obsession wood mount stamp and I added the sentiment  on the inside. I used some paper in my stash and added some shiny gold, red and brown leaves that were also in my stash. I'm really trying to use what I have this season and not add more. It could possibly lead to moving to a bigger home to contain all this stuff!

Be kind to one another.

What a wonderful card, Brenda! Love the background, colors & beautiful image! My doctor recently recommended that I try Voltaren gel. Just got it, so don't know yet how much it will help with joint pain from arthritis. Not cheap, but worth it if it works. Hubby has to avoid oral NSAIDs, but he's waiting to hear from his doc about using the gel. I know what you mean about needing a bigger house soon--haha!

I love your owl, and the frame. Fantastic way to use up all that pattern paper. I couldn't resist buying a couple of 6 x 6 packs, because I loved the paper so much, then I have trouble using them and layering with them...Oh man! I was having a lot of pain in my wrist and bought a brace, saw the orthopedic doctor and it was tendonitis...I wonder if I was coloring too much? Not that I can do anything about it right now, after all this is the busy time of the year, right? He did give me a shot in the wrist and that has helped, but I still feel I need the brace. The price we pay...you take care and heal!

The health come first! Just try to craft and to avoid computer and typing. I like your idea not to buy more supplies and to play with those, you have at home. The card is great!
Take care! Hugs, Sonja

No worries if you don't comment Brenda, you need to give your hands a rest or at least save them for the more important things like crafting not commenting :)

Beautiful card Brenda. LOVE that sweet owl in the oval. Perfect with the fabulous, masculine patterned paper. The leaves are the perfect accent. Good for your for using up some of your UFOs ... I have boxes of them just collecting dust! :)

Sorry to hear you are in pain. Don't worry about commenting, just rest your hands so you can enjoy making cards. Hopefully you'll be up for joining in the zoom call Monday. Love, Loll

Beautiful card. Love the sepia look of the owl. Those metallic leaves set it off well. It is a never ending battle to use up our stock. I hear you there. Hope you arthritis gets under control so you can keep crafting.

Oh no! I'm so sorry that your arthritis is acting up! Card makers are like piano players - we must protect those digits! I've been away too with some surgery on my thyroid. Resting is the pits! Your sweet little owl is so darling! I love the trio of leaves and the warm textile look of the background. Speaking of more space, I'm trying to convince Gene that maybe the living room would be a good craft room, and the craft room could become the TV room. He isn't buying it. Take care and rest my dear friend!

I love that sweet image, Brenda! Your oval frame and beautiful pp background are perfect! It's a great design that works for any age and any gender! Don't worry about commenting. I hope the supplements will kick in soon and help so you have less pain, but you should still rest and save those precious hands to keep using those existing supplies to make cards! Talk soon. Love, Darnell

I love owls and do love your beautiful card, Brenda! That is one sweet owl image! Perfect patterned paper and lovely shiny leaves! Sorry to hear about your arthritis! I cut cardboard last week and had it in my thumb, ouch! It has now moved to my back, ouch ouch, lol! I use Sombra cream and the heating pad. Anyways, darn arthritis, right?! And, I hear ya about so many supplies. I'm sure that they could do a segment about me on the Hoarders's show, lol!
