No pranks

I kinda missed April Fool's Day and I didn't fool anyone and didn't have anyone fooling me this year. I got up and got ready and my SIL and I went to Nashville, IN for the day to the stamp stores and lunch. Of course, lunch. I was a good girl and only got one stamp set and one Penny Black stamp. That's the least I've ever spent at their stores.

This is a card I made for a friend going through a rough time right now. I don't know the maker of the stamp. It is a red rubber stamp that came in a package with others I got at a Heirloom Show years ago. It is stamped on a Li'l Inkers circle and a strip of pattern paper added.

Be kind to one another.

You'll give your friend a smile, for sure! Wish I could have gone to Nashville with the 2 of you & doubt I would have been so frugal--haha!

You showed great restraint in the stores, Brenda! It's always fun going there anyway. Did you have the chicken pot pie? I still have dreams about that, lol! Your card is really the best for our friend! So true and I love the outhouse and your design layout! Hugs, Darnell xxoo

Well, you were so lucky you got to a stamp store and how you restrained yourself from buying is beyond me. That for me would be like letting a kid loose in a candy store. So I am very proud of you. And, I love that outhouse stamp and the sentiment is perfect with it. I am sure someone who is going through a rough time will be uplifted by the humor of it. You have a great night now.

I just LOVE this card! It says it all quite simply doesn't it? LOL I must have a trashy mind, because this just make me laugh! So glad you had a fun shopping trip and lunch! No April fool jokes here either - I guess I've pretty much done them all through the years and I'm fresh out of ideas :)

A great image and sentiment for just such an occasion! Good for you showing restraint like that! We have a new stamp store fairly close to us and I want it to thrive, but it's a good thing it's not relying on my bank account. It's just so fun to see all the merchandise!
