that tomorrow is May already! Seriously, where is the time going? And snow, lots of snow in some parts of the country. I can't seem to wrap my mind around all this. Going back over my stash I realize that I got caught up in Christmas, Valentines and Easter cards and put aside just non holiday cards. So today's post is a twofer from a SU class.
We took about six q-tips and dipped them in orange, blue and yellow inks. Then banded them together with rubber bands and stamped inside a larger circle. That is card #1. Then added some circles in the same colors and stamped the verse in the blue. For the second card we used the panel we cut the smaller circle from over the card with the sailboat scene on it. I stamped that sentiment in orange. Very cool way to make the colorful dots. I hope I explained that well.
Be kind to one another.

That sounds like a fun technique I'd love to try. Fabulous card using the technique too.

I have to try this technique Brenda, I love your artsy cards :)
What an absolutely brilliant idea this is and you get two cards out of it too. Love these. Must give it a try. Hugs Mrs A.
I love this technique for stamping colorful dots, it's genius! Love the circles and sailboat within the circle too - they both look great with the same fun technique! Nice work!

Your dotted technique is so fun and beautiful. It makes an interesting element to your cards....a fun and easy technique that makes a big impact. I hope you are having a good week. May is finally here. I am ready for some nice Spring weather.
Wow!! What a great fun technique with wonderful results! Very colorful pretty cards!!
How fun to make a design that way and using something most all would have on hand too. You chose such pretty colors for the cards too. I love your designs.
I don't know where the time goes either Brenda nor to I understand the weather any more. It is just crazy! Both cards are so fun and colorful Brenda! I have heard of doing this with the q-tips, but have never done it. Yours turned out so beautifully!!! I love the fun summer colors you guys used and I love the designs of both cards. Well done my friend, you guys do some cool things! Hugs, Brenda
That is a fantastic way to make dots, and a lot faster than one by one! I love your colors and the design your created with the circles on your first card. What a great and festive way to frame the sail boat - almost like confetti!
Now that is clever! Did you unbind them to re-ink before stamping again? Love the color combo & both cards are really fun! Early summer out here with lots of sun already!
What fun cards, Brenda! I'll have to try that! We're having summertime weather right now. It's hard to believe that it's May already!
Two fabulous card Brenda, such a great technique - you explained it perfectly.

I'm telling you, you go to the funnest SU workshops, Brenda! What a clever idea! I love the way it looks and especially that you got a twofer out of it!! Hugs, Darnell xxoo
Awesome twofers, Brenda! This is such a fun design made with Q-tips. It really adds some fun to your cards. Love the first one with the large dotty circle with more circles and sentiment done is what I would call "ice cream colours". So pretty!!
And what an awesome frame for your sweet sailboat card. Great sentiment to go with the circle aperture. xx
