Yep, it's last minute but I did this and want to post it. After watching the video about baby wipes and Julia mentioned trying the baby wipe technique, I got a much better image with ghosting. I sponged Ripe Persimmon Distress Oxide ink, then used a Tim Holtz burlap stencil with a baby wipe. Removed the stencil and let it dry. Whoopee - an image. The frame is Penny Black and I bought it because it reminds me of the edging on my grandma's pillow cases. But, I digress. The flower is by Gummiapan and layered three times. Sentiment by Stampin' Up. I don't know why I can't use a stencil spritzed and removed but this did work so I'm happy.

Great work with the baby wipe, Brenda. I have not tried that yet. I love the bright colours of your orange background with the white frame and flower that just pop against it. So pretty. I love this frame too and use it quite a bit. :) Thanks for sharing with us at CAS Stencil! xx

So pretty in the orange Brenda! glad you tried the technique using babywipes - your background is lovely! What a happy memory using that lovely die cut framing that reminds you of your grandmothers' pillowcases! A wonderful CAS design with that simple white die cut! I love how spunky you are with these techniques, Brenda! You try them all and by persevering you always get there! I missed the bit about the baby wipe and can see where that would give a sharper image. I love the stencil and die you used! I've had good results with the baby wipe to do the ghosting too. I think it's a bit more manageable. Love your ghosted background and that pretty die cut!
Goodness, I love this Brenda and I love the look you got with the baby wipe! A great ghosted background! This looks like a Loll and Bonnie card, so elegant and beautiful. I haven't tried the spritzing with water and a stencil yet, but I have my doubts that I will be able to do it, so maybe I should just go straight to a baby wipe! lol Great job Brenda!! Hugs, Brenda

Wonderful background and I'm really loving the color. I've not heard of this technique. I'll have to put it on my list to try. lol Hope all is well with you. Did I tell you that I was bitten by a dog and had to have nine stitches in my finger?
