Guest Designer for Twofer

I'm so happy to be a guest designer for the Twofer Card Challenge today.   The prompt word is geometric.

For my geometric design I chose the Wood grain framed diamond wire die by Kat Scrappiness to use on both cards.

I stamped a Christmas tree on a white card panel and added a sequin star on top. I mounted the panel on green card stock and cut a Poppy Stamp window frame. I cut the diamond wire down to fit behind the window frame and glued it to acetate and attached it to the back of the frame. I popped the frame up on foam tape and added it to the card. The sentiment is Lawn Fawn.

I cut another diamond wire and added it to a top folding black card base for my second card. The happy birthday and cupcake are Simon Says Stamp dies and sponged with Distress Ink I added glossy accents to the frosting and added foam tape to the back of it and added it on top of the die cut.

Edited to add:  I am going to add my Christmas tree card to the challenge at
by Loll and Bonnie.

What clever use of the lattice on the Christmas window, Brenda ... looks like leaded glass in a traditional cottage ... with the tree inside just waiting for Santa to come and load up the underneath with presents! Love the bold, graphic look of the black on white background for your fun cupcake ... that shiny pink frosting looks particularly scrumptious! Thanks so much for inspiring our players as our Guest Designer this month at Twofer! Anita :)

Fantastic way to use this amazing die, Brenda. It makes the most beautiful design for your Christmas decorated window. So clever ... reminds me of the diamond design windows, only prettier! :) And a great background for your "sweet" birthday card with the delicious cupcake. Thanks for being our Guest Designer this month at Twofer Card Challenge! xx

This is a new die to me, Brenda, and I love it, you enabler, you! I am so thrilled to have you as one of our Guest Designers and I love both of your designs! The full-background diamond grid is really effective against the black card as a backdrop for that glistening delicious cupcake! And it makes a perfect window grid for your warm Christmas-tree-in-the-window scene! Thank you for being so supportive and being our GD! (You might want to edit your post and enter your Christmas card in Loll's CAS Christmas challenge where the brief is "tree!") Hugs, Darnell

Brenda, your twofer cards are wonderful! I love that you put the diamond pattern into the window. It reminds me of the opening from Lady and the Tramp when the camera zooms from outside to inside the Victorian Christmas scene. It also makes a great background for that yummy cupcake! The glossy frosting is so inviting! Thanks so much for guest designing for the Twofer Card Challenge!

Congratulations on being a Guest Designer for the 2fer! YAY! And I love your take on the geometric theme! Now I would never have looked at this 'screen' and thought geometric! Clever of you. And it works excellently as the mutins in the window to show that pretty tree, as well as the background cover for the birthday card. Oh how your creative skills are blossoming!!! TFS & Hugs
