Let's go fishing

Well not literally, I don't like worms. I did fish back in my younger days. As I got older I fished twice in two different locations and caught a turtle both times. That ended my fishing career. This card is for my sons birthday. He fishes whenever he gets the chance. I used Jennifer McGuire's video to make another pop up card. I covered the inside bottom of the card because I wrote in it before I took the pictures. I stamped the greeting with a Mint Owl stamp and used Paper House 3D stickers for the fish accents and DMC metallic silver thread inside for the lure. The water is a Papertrey stamp that Sharyn from http://mycraftyplace281.blogspot.com/ recommended to me. It's hard to believe I have a son who will be 51 tomorrow! Where do the years go so fast.

Be kind to one another.

What a perfect card for anyone who likes to fish. I love all the little trinkets you've got on each part of the card, and how cool that you're making slider cards! Our DD will be 51 this year too! Your son will just adore this card, and what a good job you did on it. TFS & have a great weekend. Hugs

This is fabulous, Brenda! You did a great job with the water. Don't you just love that stamp? Cards made with one specific person in mind are so much fun to make. I'm sure your son is going to love this. My oldest just turned 44 in August. I know what you mean about time going by quickly. Enjoy your long weekend!

You are so inspiring Brenda! You get in there and tackle those new techniques you are learning and I'm so proud of you! Love the way this card turned out!!!! I bet your son will love it too. I love all the attention to detail and of course I really love that you are doing these types of cards. I want too and need to but then don't. lol Maybe one day I will get it together. I love fishing and don't mind worms, but I am finding the older I get the less I want to touch this type of thing. I know what you mean Brenda, I can't believe I have a 36 year old. lol Hugs, Brenda

Fishing is so not my thing--nearly jumped out of the boat when my brother in law caught one while we were at Shasta years ago! Such a great card for your son--so cute & personalized since he's a fisherman!
