Ink blending with water lifting

Our group of seven cardmakers  this month is doing ink blending with water lifting. It is a fun way to get a different look to your cards. I used a Hero Arts stamp for my first card and a Waffle Flower stamp for my second. I lifted the ink off to create highlights to the flowers using water and a small paintbrush. Then blotted the color off with a paper towel.  I hope you'll visit all the ladies to see their creative cards using this technique.

Why should you never date a tennis player - because love means nothing to them.

Be kind to one another.

Haha! You get me giggling and then I have to go back and reread your post, Brenda, but I'm not complaining. It's nice to come here for a laugh! You got wonderful results using this technique on your two pretty cards! I love both designs! Hugs, Darnell

Your stampings are so pretty with just the highlights removed with water Brenda - I never thought to just take a bit off - it gives a great effect! Julia xx

Fun cards my friend! Both are really pretty and I shall give it a try, you have inspired me! I have a house guest for 3 weeks from Norway, she first came to Oregon in 1966, so we have been friends a long time, she is also a cousin of my husband! We went to the beach for three days with 4 other girls we all went to high school with and had a blast bringing up memories and sharing stories! She is sitting watching youtube shows that she follows in Norway, so a good time to slip away and get caught up with my friends! Hope all is well! Heart Hugs, Col

That looks like such a fun technique and I love the floral images on both cards. The flecks of white in the first card look so pretty, but being a purple girl I'm especially fond of the 2nd one :)

Interesting technique, I must try it sometime, kinda like the bleach technique, forgot how it worked but there were the flicks of white, this seems less messy. Nice cards though, don't think we will ever run out of ways of making cards there is always something new on the horizon!!!! I always find it very inspiring to come to your blog.

What a fun technique from the Group of 7! I love your cards Brenda! The orange one with the poppies is so pretty, the lifted color highlights them so well. I also love the way you did your sentiment on and off the orange. Your second card colors are beautiful! The cacti plant is perfect in those colors and I love the lifted areas. What a beautiful get well card! Hugs, Brenda
