Pattern paper

Thought I'd better pop in and post before the storms come again. I love pattern paper and have sooo much of it. Some is from my early scrapbook days that is 12 x 12 and also have lots of 6 x 6 paper pads. After getting all this paper over the years I started seeing all the cards made with backgrounds using inks, stencils, stencil paste, alcohol inks, etc. So, the pattern paper went by the wayside. It's time to bring it back out so that's what I used for this card. The paper is stored in plastic sleeves so I don't know where it came from. I used an Alexandra Renke die and Mama Elephant scalloped frame.

I would like to thank my middle finger for always sticking up for me when I need it.

Be kind to one another.

I too am glad your middle finger always sticks up for you! ROFLMAO!! That completely cracked me up Hah! I too am trying to use up some of this paper stash I've accumulated since my scrapbook days. That's quite a lovely card you used it on with that single floral image! 1 down, 4 million more to go!

Glad you have started using your paper stash, great card. You can do so many things with it, all those inky things and more xxx

I'm with you on starting to use the patterned paper. I also have so much of it and always seem to come up with other ideas where I don't use it. Time to change things!
Your card is so pretty and I love the patterned paper behind that image.

We should start a new challenge where you always have to use pp on your card! Thanks for bringing it back and starting a movement, Brenda! I'm with you and I love the text pp behind that bold and beautiful flower! Love the b/w and the scalloped potatoes, too. And I had a good guffaw over your middle finger! Hugs, Darnell

😂 thanks for the laugh! Cute card. I have way more pp than I’ll ever use.

I weeded out my patterned paper a few years ago but there was a lot that I had to keep - but I still haven't used it. I should challenge myself to make at least one card a month using pp (though that still wouldn't use much up!). Good for you for making a lovely card using one little piece of it :))

I have so much pattern paper too Brenda, it needs to be used up...but there it all still sits. Sigh I love your card, the pattern paper is lovely cut with a scallop frame and I your flower, so simple but so beautiful. Lots of storms hitting PA as well, luckily they either skim me or split and go around me, although I will get some of the wind...but then it is always windy here. Although we need the rain, just don't want the high winds, hail and tornadoes that are coming with these storms! Stay safe! Your joke keep me laughing, thanks for that Brenda! Hugs, Brenda

A classy card, Brenda! The script background works perfectly with this die cut flower! I love the Alexandra Renke dies and need to use them more. Thanks for the reminder!
