Print Making with Friends

I had the wonderful opportunity to Zoom with some talented crafters recently. We watched a video on  Kathy Racoosin's blog https://www.thedailymarker.com/2020/07/day-1-print-making-coloring// about print making before we got together. Such a fun way to make a background and we all made our cards while we Zoomed. I used Distress Inks to watercolor the Poppy Stamps leaf and added an unknown leaf button to the card. The sentiment is from Scrapping For Less. When you watercolor over a panel it leaves a very faint image that becomes part of your background. You can spritz your die cut and smoosh it on the panel too. My second card used  two butterfly die cuts from Memory Box and a sentiment from Lawn Fawn. I hope it gives the idea of flight.  I really like the look this technique gives and loved Zooming with friends. I hope you will go visit my Zoommates  listed below to see the gorgeous cards they made.

Hi Brenda. Both your cards turned out beautifully. I do love this technique and it was fun and easy too! :) The leaf is gorgeous with those prints and sweet leaf button. And your butterfly prints really do look like the butterfly is in flight. Great work! It was fun zooming with you! xx

Just love both cards, Brenda - your prints look amazing! Fun technique, isn't it?! Especially love the butterfly one - so wispy and airy!!

You chose two wonderful dies for this technique, Brenda! I love the leaf one and think the button punctuation was a brilliant idea! Like I just told Bonnie, I especially love how this technique looks with butterfly dies. Your second card is so light and airy, as if the butterfly just kissed the background with her wings! I liked being your Zoommate, you clever wordist!! Hugs, Darnell

Wow! This leaf is gorgeous, Brenda! Your colors are so rich and take me back to Fall in VT! Love how the background print leaves give the feeling of movement! Love the sweet colors of your butterfly and how it looks like it is flying off a beautiful garden! It was such fun crafting with you again and I hope we can do it again soon!

Love that you ladies got together to have a Zoom crafty session Brenda! I am in awe of your cards, they are so beautiful! I have seen Kathy R. do this, but have yet to try it myself. I am so loving the leaf card, it just looks like the leaf floated down from the tree and left an imprint onto your paper. So beautiful! The butterfly one is just gorgeous too, it looks like your butterflies ever so slightly touched your paper while fluttering around. Love it! Glad you had this Zoom crafty get together, I hope it lifted your spirits getting crafty with friends when you can't get together in person! Hugs, Brenda

Your cards turned out great, Brenda! Thought the technique looked easy, but I only really liked a small part of my print. Should try again, I know. Glad you had fun Zooming--not that I know anything about how that works!
