All settled in

Thank you for all your sweet comments welcoming Daisy. She is getting used to everything and fitting right in. She walks so well on her leash and we are good in the backyard. She startles at everything but is getting better. She comes from a home out in the country where there was no traffic or people walking dogs so this is all new to her. I haven't heard her bark yet.

I recently found a new blogger, Jackie of https://klompenstampers.com/. I have been watching her videos on YouTube and today's card is made by learning how she cut the paper to make this. It is using the same Stampin' Up golf paper and that's all I did. She has some great golf cards on her blog and YouTube. I also got her permission to post this video made by her husband. You have to watch him make a card for her and your husbands will get a kick out of it too. It's only five minutes and you will love it and laugh.   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t0zufj1T-bk&t=12s

You can see on the loveseat where Molly made holes in it.. I was going to replace it but it has now become Daisy's loveseat. Here we go, you can see what she does a lot of!

I'd like you to meet Daisy

I have applied for three dogs online through Petfinder and all were gone by the time they processed my adoption application. Then my granddaughter knew someone who wanted to rehome their dog. They brought her for a visit and she was wonderful. They texted the next day and said I could have her and the following day texted that they decided to keep her. That was it for me, not going to look anymore. Except that one last time! I found her on adopt-a-pet.  I emailed to see if she was still available and someone else was looking at her but if they didn't take her I was next in line. That was Saturday night. They called Sunday at two, we met at four and I was home with her at 4:30. She is a beagle, Australian Shepherd mix and is a sweet little girl about four or five years old. Loves to cuddle and follows me from room to room. Still not to certain of everything but that will come. So here is Daisy, my new sweet little girl. She is getting along fine with CoCo and Cassie Kitty. Quite the little family I have now.

Golf shirt

For once I am getting ahead of the birthdays in my family. I always turn the calendar and see my son's birthday on the first. From that moment on there are three birthdays in Sept, three in Oct., Halloween, Thanksgiving and then Christmas and I am never ready. This year I was inspired by the golf paper by Stampin' Up and cards I saw online. I ordered that paper as soon as I saw it. Three of the birthdays coming up are golfers so I am getting busy. This card is a golf shirt card I saw by craftwithkate. It is so simple but I would have never thought of it on my own. So I shamelessly copied it and love how it came out. I didn't have the same die she used for the collar so I used Banner Framelits from SU and just cut the placket out. The buttons are cut from the same paper with an unknown die in my stash. I wish SU would make a golf club that faces to the left so when you cross them it looks good. I didn't add the logo yet. I may make a pocket instead. I could see my son wearing this shirt in real life.

Nothing sweeter than butterflies

These are my Twofer cards for the prompt of butterflies. You can't go wrong when you add a butterfly to a card. My first card uses a new Simon Says Stamp stencil sponged with Distress Oxide Ink. The sentiment is Penny Black and the blue sparkle is from my stash that's the first layer of the butterfly. die from Memory Box. The top layer is black card stock.and is cut with a different Memory Box die. The second card uses a Hero Arts stencil with sponged Catherine Pooler inks. I sponged the same color for the first layer of the butterfly and used black card stock again for the top layer. The hello is a Reverse Confetti die in black and covered in Glossy Accents.

A Penny Black card

I am sharing this card in CAS Mix Up this month. The challenge this month is stencil  tracing and I did start out that way. It wasn't going well so I only did the stems and leaves. If it's not okay, just delete it. I do like how it came out though. It is a Penny Black stencil and sentiment and I used Distress Oxide ink to sponge .

Be safe, my friends.

Coco

Happy Fourth of July. I hope you are all watching the fireworks from a safe distance from them and each other.

I am so blessed. I received Coco Monkey from a dear, wonderful friend who knew I was lonely. When you press Coco's hand he laughs so much and dances. It is the cutest thing and he makes me laugh along with him. I call him my Service Monkey and just love him. His fur is so soft and he is cuddly too.

Enjoy the holiday.

Me again

Hi blogger friends if you are still here. I just can't seem to get my act together. I have made some cards that have been sent and some that haven't. I've also made four that ended up in the trash. It's like I've never made a card before and it put me off of trying. So, I went back to the tried and true and didn't try any new techniques.

I did visit my grands and it was wonderful. At my granddaughter's her brother was there and so was my other granddaughter and her boyfriend so I got to see everyone all in one day. Now I'm home staying in for 14 days just in case I was exposed and don't infect anyone else. That visit will hold me for a while since the cases are going up again.

I made this card for a friend going through a hard time right now. I used a cuttlebug embossing folder and Impression Obsession die that cuts seven dies at once so I layered three of them. The stones are Hero Arts called Tranquility. I wanted it to stay tranquil so I didn't add a sentiment on the front. Inside it says sending positive vibes your way. I think we all need that right now.

I'm having so much trouble getting my camera to load pictures so I went with my phone. My phone photos are usually blurry because my hands aren't steady but I braced it against my body this time!
