Thank you

I want to send my heartfelt thank you's to everyone for your love and prayers on the loss of Molly. She was my shadow all day long and was in her bed right next to me when I stamped. I've shed a lot of  healing tears. Anyone who has lost a pet know they are part of the family and saying goodbye is so hard. It was so fast and unexpected that I just couldn't come to terms with it. She didn't appear to be in pain and her passing was very gentle. She will always be in my heart.

I finally got a little mojo back after not stamping for awhile. This card was made using a die from Spellbinders called Venise Lace to make a stencil to try the gilding flakes technique. I tried it once before and didn't have much luck but I really like this card. I followed the directions from the video on casmixup.blogspot.com/ from Scrappin4myboys. I put the double sided tape on a card stock panel, then took release paper off and added the die cut stencil. Using a sponge I applied the Mulled Wine gilding  flakes from Cosmic Shimmer. The sentiment is Stampin' Up and embossed in Queen's Gold embossing powder.

I am sharing this card at

I made a stencil from a die, used gilding flakes, stamped the sentiment and embossed it.

Be kind to one another.

Beautiful card, Brenda! I never use gilding flakes, but you make me want to get mine out. You've been on my mind--I know how empty a house is when a furbaby is gone. Hugs, Greta

This is just stunning and so elegant looking! You used the technique quite well in making this beautiful card! Sending healing hugs as I know how you feel. When we lost our 3rd dog, I think it took me 2 years before I could mention her name without crying. Hang in there, it just takes lots of time to heal a broken heart.

It is so hard losing a pet, I know you are like me in that they are your baby. Bret complains I take better care of the dogs than I do him. lol He is old enough to care for himself, but that isn't true. He is just as spoiled I can tell you! Anyway, I know how upsetting it was for you when you lost Molly, it sure took me by surprise. I cried for days with all of ours dogs we lost. Bret told me to get over it and his daddy said leave your mother alone, she is sad. So cry if you need to and remember all the good times Molly gave you. Your card is just stunning and what a wonderful job you did with this technique! I really love how the gilding flakes just pop on that black background. Great job with making a stencil with your die! Hugs, Brenda

I can imagine you're still a bit in shot with the unexpectancy of Molly's passing. I sure have been thinking a lot about you ever since I saw the news. Your card is so gorgeous with that die/stencil design. I love the gilding flake color you used. I have yet to try gilding flakes, but you're very inspiring.
