A week

I can't believe it's been a whole week since I posted. It has been a busy time that I wasn't planning on but that's okay. Life gets in the way of crafting sometimes. First, I want to wish everyone on the west coast safety with all the winds and rains and snow coming in.

This is the card I made for casmixup challenge of bokeh. I sponged Distress Oxide Inks in broken china and dusty concord. Then I used my Stampin Up craft white ink with three different stencils to make the different size dots. My ink is very old and wasn't very juicy so the dots aren't really bright. I also stamped a sentiment from Words to the Rescue from Art Gone Wild and die cut flowers from Penny Black inked with dusty concord. I don't know if you can see that I also mounted the panel on lavender mulberry paper. I love that paper and you never see it any more so I'm bringing it back!

Be kind to one another.

I think I still have a few pieces of mulberry papers left. I always loved them. Your Bokeh background is so dreamy and pretty! Love those die cut rose buds and the sweet sentiment! Thanks so much for sharing with us at CAS Mix Up!

The soft white circles are perfect for the Bokeh effect, Brenda! Lovely card with the beautiful color combo & the mulberry paper is just right for the feel of this card! I probably have some left, too--who knows where--haha! PS--Hurrah for the Colts! I'll be wearing my old Peyton Manning t-shirt again when they play!

Beautiful bokeh, Brenda! I think the juice-less ink pad is the trick! I have that same ink pad and it is at least 15 years old - hmmm, maybe I need to bokeh. I love the mulberry too. My favorite mulberry project was on a scrapbook page for my then two year old (now 17). She had a Big Bird costume and that bright yellow mulberry made the best fluffy feather mats for the photos. Happy New Year, Brenda!

So very beautiful. Adding the mulberry paper is a great asset. I think I am all out of that now. I used to have a lot on hand.

What a beautiful card Brenda! I can see your dots, but I have found with mine you tend to see them a little better in the photo. Not sure why that is. lol I love the colors you used on this one. I also love that you are bringing the mulberry paper back! I think if I search my stash I might even find a sheet or two myself. Well done with this challenge my friend! Hugs, Brenda

Such a lovely card! That background is so pretty. I wanted to let you know you're the winner of my Seasons Givings giveaway. I sent you an email, but wanted to post here just in case the email doesn't make it to you for some reason.

Beautiful Bokeh effect Brenda. I love the feel of mulberry paper and it tears just where you want it too as well. must go and find mine.
My Husband keeps telling me to stop pretending to be butter but I'm on a roll now.
Did you hear about the kidnapping at school? He woke up.
My wife suggested I wash the car with our son at the weekend but I told her a sponge would be better.

You've made a beautiful bokeh card, Brenda, and I love how you used the mulberry paper! I used it a few months back and it didn't explode online as the newest trend, so hopefully this time your card will do the trick! I just went through all mine again and phew, I have a lot of the darn schtuff. Thanks for the reminder not to just put it back in the drawer and forget about it ... that's the problem, doctor! OMG, I just glanced up and saw Mrs. A's message and karacked up, especially at the last one!! Hugs, Darnell xxoo
