Won't get to the card until after the second paragraph so you can skip to that.

Had another dust up with the home care agency again Friday. I had an appt. with eye doctor at 10:30 and by 10:15 no one had come and I had to leave. I left the door unlocked and wondered why no one was here. I knew our new regular Fri. gal was on vacation and figured they would send someone who knew us and had been here before. When I got to the dr. I called the agency and she said "oops, I meant to call you". They sent a brand new person. I never leave when someone new comes. Needless to say I was terribly upset. I don't want to leave hubby with someone new the first time. We have had six ladies in ten weeks or 30 days. That just seems like a lot of new people. They don't know where things are or what he likes if I'm not here. Five of them did not know how to run the DVR and that is necessary because he watches his DVD's all day and one of my two requirements. I'm sorry to carry on but this is our whole life and it is so important we get this right. I have typed up instructions for the DVR so that has been taken care of. Some of the ladies are afraid to do it for fear they will do something wrong. I have a feeling all agencies are like that because the gals come and go that work for them. I make my appointments around someone being here and that didn't work. If it's just meeting for lunch, I can always reschedule that. But, I need to be called if there is a change.

Then I get to the grocery store and load up the cart so I don't have to go next week. Get all checked out and my card is rejected. WHAT? That has never happened and I know it is good. Target has new machines so we tried putting in the card number by hand several times.  I tried to call the bank number on the back of the card several times. Once my phone cut off the call and the next time they wanted to tell me of a new product I could take advantage of. I left. I came home and called again. It is my fault. I didn't change to the new card when it came in the mail. This is real life and it's wearing me out.

My girlfriend, Marilyn, had a birthday on Saturday and this is the card I sent her. It is a pink shimmer sheet embossed with one of the new We R Memory Keepers embossing folder. It was hard to get a good picture of it because of the reflection. She is in Myrtle Beach right now and they are getting pounded with rain left over from Erica. I hope it passes soon. So much flooding in Florida. I hope all of you in Florida are safe. Be kind to one another.

I'm sorry about all the problems you are having, Brenda. The agency you are working with needs better management. I know they probably go through people often, but they still have a business to run and if they can't do it properly, it needs to be fixed. Your card is absolutely gorgeous!! I love the pink shimmer sheet!! It looks amazing!! I hope things get better there soon. Praying for you. Have a great day :)

Yeah...life can be tough at times. So what happened when the new lady showed up? Was your hubby okay with the change? The card situation....did you get your food??? OMG....what a stressful day for you.

On a good note...your card is beautiful!!!

Oh Brenda I do feel for you. (my trials are nothing compared to yours.) We had the same problems when Mum & Dad were still in the bungalbow. Dad would kick off if the agency girls turned up late and would be totally uncooperative . Do you have home deliveries for grocery shoppng in America? All the stores do it now over here in the UK. I used to get Mum to give me her order over the phone then I would go on line order it and pay for it and get it delivered to them. Woe betide the driver who turned up late with the deliveries though!!. Could never get them to realise that a time slot is just exactly that to allow for lateness and adverse road conditions.
Organizing home care for them was a night mare and I'm so glad when we eventually managed to get them into a residential home where Dad still is.
Hugs Mrs A.

I'm sorry you are having so many problems. It never ends, does it? Hope they get you on a schedule where you have the same people each week. Sorry your friend is having so much rain in Myrtle Beach. I hope it clears up soon. We are headed that way in a couple of weeks. Love your beautiful card. The sparkly background is a stunner! Love the butterfly too. Take care!

Bless your heart, you had the Monday from H...didn't you? I hope when you finally had a chance to sit down & relax your nerves, you had a nice cup of hot tea & cookie, or whatever calms. I know this is scary for you, and so frustrating, because now you'll be on pins & needles if there's a dr's appt. Perhaps you can talk to the person in charge, and explain how vital it is that they notify you ahead of time if this is likely to happen. I do hope they can get this handled so that you can feel you get a little respite and can safely leave. Here's a big hug for all the worry! I LOVE your card. The shimmer sheetz embossing is SO pretty with the white and the stunning black butterflies. Inspired combination of products and colors! We are about 5 hrs from MB, had some drizzly rain last evening. Today was much cooler, very pretty with nice sunshine. I hear Florida is really getting deluged in some places. Hope Tuesday will be LOTS better than Monday was for you. TFS

I know your friend loved this gorgeous card! I just got one of those folders & need to use it. So sorry the agency isn't professional enough to give you a call when there's a change & for them to be on time! So frustrating when people don't seem to care about the quality of their work & it seems to be the norm, unfortunately. Hoping things go better for you this week, Brenda!

I'm sorry I haven't been around for a while, Brenda. We had company from NJ and Iowa (Kevin's family) and we all went away for four days. It was really fun, but the Mister hurt his leg very badly so it's been a whole thing and lots of appointments (between that and still trying to figure me out). We should know on Friday whether or not he needs surgery.

I'm sorry to catch up with you only to find out that it's been more of the ongoing difficulty of getting CONSISTENT and reliable help. And I'm sorry about what happened with the card. I could feel your frustration through your words and wish I were there to give you a big hug! I am sending you one through the interlines!!

Your card for Marilyn is a shimmery delight! She will cherish it!! I hope to see you next week at NBUS Challenge #5!! More importantly, I hope you get things straightened out at the agency soon!! xxoo Hugs, Darnell

Wow Brenda! What a beautiful card; love the butterfly.

You are not alone in taking care of card changes....I thought I'd changed all the places online that I use my card but I forgot one...Really Reasonable Ribbon! Got the email that the card on file was rejected....oh my.

You are in my thoughts and prayers as you deal with the agency issues. Hopefully, it is back on track now.

Hugs
