It's a beautiful warm day here today with sunshine. That makes me so happy. Not much going on so I made another Valentine! It is in pink and gray and that is the challenge at http://simplylessismoore.blogspot.com/ so I'm going to pop over there and enter this card.  The heart is a die cut and thanks to all of you who came to my aid about die cutting I was able to get a metal adapter plate and it finally cut this die out. I did have to turn it several times and it curled my metal plate right up. I mean it really curled the plate, just actually curled it up. I hope that is normal. The washi tape is silver gray and pink so I used it for a little shine. Be kind to one another.

I am also entering this card in http://pixiescraftyworkshop.blogspot.com/ and http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/mondaychallenge/ and http://cuttlebugmania.blogspot.co.uk/

This is lovely Brenda!
Both plates and shims will curl in time...metal shims especially... just turn them over the next time you use them!
Thanks so much for joining is our birthday challenge!

Great card Brenda, I have this die too and it definitely needs a metal plate to cut properly. Cathy x

Hi sweet girl! Remember this would be great for the snippets playground possibly when it opens at midnight in the UK - and even more so for the Cuttlebug Challenge - more details are on my blog as am now on the DT. Basically, so long as you use a manual machine for embossing/ die cutting - and this fortnight's theme is I heart you - you can play! What's to lose hun?

Oh, you wanna see curly plates and shims? Just call by here anytime :))

Hugs

You can easily straighten those bent plates with a little pressure and some hot water ... check out this video .... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ppSvvdZ_-L8

Your card is lovely

See that someone already suggested flipping the metal shim each time you use it. Also will get cut marks on it. Still works! Love the gray & pink. Very classy. This is one pretty heart die, glad you got it to work. I cut my dies cut side down (usually), and then sometimes flip them with blade side up if not cutting well. And sometimes you just have to hold your mouth right, and say a few unpleasant words. Let me know if you need some! TFS & Hugs.

A beautiful card. I am glad you managed to get the die to cut. I find that if you shout at the machine, it kinda helps! Lynn x
