We have had a busy week of running errands, grocery and I did get out for our monthly get together yesterday to go to a movie with my friend Marilyn. We had a yummy lunch at Applebee's and saw The Delivery Man. It was a comedy but a real heartwarming movie as well. We now have several inches of snow on the ground and several more to come today so I'm getting my Christmas cards made this weekend. Then I have to get out and pick up a few more gifts for the GK (grandkids). Haven't started wrapping yet. That will be on wrapping day. I save a day just for that, although with gift bags now that is easier. You can decorate the bags with embellishments and make them so cute. I think Christmas always sneaks up on me or else I procrastinate! I have to get one holiday finished before I can start another one. I always feel like the stores are rushing me when they start putting things out in August. I'm just not ready - BUT - now that I have been out to shop, things are already picked over and they are out of sizes. I think that's a shame. Well, shutting up and moving along, I am posting my Christmas card from last year. Ribbon weaving was the rage and I think it is so pretty on a card. My card was gold cardstock with white ribbon and little gold pearls. I ended up using thinner ribbon because this was too heavy. This is the card I kept. Be kind to each other. My thoughts are with the Mandela family today. What a great man. To those with ice and snow, take care if you have to go out.

Hello Brenda,
Your card is beautiful and I love that "pure" look for Christmas.
I've never tried that technique but would love to!
Thank You~
Wow, that is an awesome ribbon wreath...it is a beautiful card! Yes, stay indoors...we are just getting some little flurries of snow too, good day to stay inside and make cards, right?
So pretty, Brenda, & something that is new to me! I've never tried the ribbon weaving like this. Loved the white on gold background. So glad you got your errands finished before the weather worsened, and you can stay inside, enjoy your quiet craft time, and look outside to see the beautiful snow. Hope the ice storm doesn't get up your way, and that your power stays on. I hear you about the rush & then the last minute. Also when you travel, it puts you way behind as well! (Even though I wouldn't miss the trip to see DD, and we'll return in a few weeks. Thankfully all of us are old enough we don't stress too much about the gifts these days. But it was fun when she was small.) Hugs & TFS
I love your card, Brenda! Ribbon weaving might have been all the rage last year, but I swear I've never seen it before and it took my breath away! I'm doing my cards this weekend, too, and agree with you about doing most of it after Thanksgiving; I just can't get into it before then and now I'm rushing around coz TDay was so late this year. Oh, well, we always manage to pull it together, don't we?! Hugs, Darnell
That woven ribbon wreath is just STUNNING!! It looks gorgeous against your gold cardstock. Lovely work!
This is an awesome piece of ribbon weaving indeed. The card looks stunning.
Hugs Mrs A.
