Happy Thanksgiving

I'm wishing you a Happy Thanksgiving to all who celebrate and a wonderful day to everyone. I kept this card for today hoping you can all make happy memories with your family and friends even if you aren't together and zoom. I am so grateful for each and everyone of you that visit, comment and those that come by and don't comment too. This is such a warm, generous and sharing community of stampers and I'm so happy I found all of you. You are all so inspiring and leave such great comments that keep me going. 

This card is all pattern paper with just the sentiment stamped on it. I wish I was able to color so gorgeous like this paper is.

Another oldie

This stamp is my very favorite for fall. It is a Serendipity wood mount from 2008 and I use it every year. It's colored with Copics and I used Nuvo glitter drops in Golden Sunset. Isn't that a great name for them? I added glossy accents to the pumpkin for a bit more shine and a strip of pattern paper along the left side. 

Even though my family isn't getting together for Thanksgiving I am cooking a full meal. I have always had Thanksgiving here and I want to have the leftovers! Instead of turkey I am making chicken and noodles, dressing and mashed potatoes. Noodles are not a side dish that to many people make for this holiday but we always have them so I am making those today and the rest tomorrow.

A new discovery

This is the only Magenta stamp I have and it is an older one. It is called a puzzle set because there are six different scenes you can make. I chose three of the images, although they are all gorgeous, and colored them with Copics and arranged them in this formation. The leaves along the bottom are ribbon.

I made a terrible discovery yesterday. I sat down on the floor to go through a box of things and when I went to get up I learned that I can no longer just pop up off the floor like days of old. I had to turn over on my knees, then push myself up. When did that happen. There was a time if I was cross legged on the floor I could just stand up without even uncrossing my legs. It's unlikely I will appear on Dancing with the Stars any time soon.

This Thanksgiving card was created with Stampin' Up's set  Forever Fern. I stamped in colors that were in the strip of pattern paper along the left side and used the matching dies to cut them out. My sweet friend has received this so I can post it today.

Playing in the leaves

I think this says it all - you are never to old to jump in a pile of leaves. It brings out the kid in all of us. I used a cut apart for the sentiment and added a pattern paper image. I also used pattern paper for the panel. The leaves are some more of the shiny leaves I had in my stash. I love the way it came together.

Have another piece

Last pie card today. Oh, how I wish I had dies to match these stamps. Cutting out that fork and those teeny dollops of whipped cream about did me in. I even shaded the whipped cream and pie. The front of the pie pan is cut with silver paper to look pie panny. The background is a WRMK 3D embossing folder done with kraft paper. Feel free to have as much as you want.

Seeing stars

Today's cards are what not to do. I wanted to get my Twofer cards made to play in the challenge and to get my Christmas cards really started. I've made a few for challenges but not really started and they need to be mailed early this year. Duh! When I finished them I realized I made the same design on both. That is a no-no for Twofer. Darnell will give me thirty lashes for sure. I intended to turn the stars on the first card and put them at the bottom left with the sentiment at the top. The red star on the second card framed the sentiment I wanted to use so it had to be there. I was so intent on placing the red star perfectly inside the green star that I just plumb forgot to change it up. Anyway, here they are. Maybe Darnell won't notice if she doesn't have her glasses on!
