I was the talk of the neighborhood

Earlier this month I woke up to this in my front yard. I opened the blinds and had to laugh. It is a yardsign honoring what would have been the 50th birthday for Alfie, the dog my sons grew up with. He was a wonderful dog and my oldest son felt like Alfie was his dog since he picked him out of the litter. At 8:45 am I got my first call from a neighbor asking if I changed my name and to wish me Happy Birthday! All through the day I got calls from neighbors with all kinds of questions. I had to explain it was for our dead dog's birthday. I expect the head of our HOA to give me a call soon. Hope I don't have to move. My oldest son had this put in my yard and this is not the first one he's done. I had one when Alfie would have turned 21 too. It had champagne glasses and streamers on it. Don't know where my kids get their sense of humor!

Be kind to one another.

Oh my goodness--that's a hoot! Too bad none of the neighbors brought you cake, Brenda! No idea where his sense of humor came from! Thanks for starting my Monday with a chuckle!

I can just imagine your face when you opened the blind, Brenda! And I can imagine the consternation of your senior neighbors about you entertaining a "youngster" in your house!😂🤣😂Your son is very brave ... knowing your sense of humor, he must be nervous about how you're going to pay him back for this! Thanks for sharing and for the laugh! Hugs, Darnell

AWESOME!! What a fun day, Brenda! Your son has a great sense of humour ... like someone I know. :) I bet you were laughing your head off when you saw the sign this morning. Wish I could have been there!! :) Happy 50th to Alfie! :) Love, Lolly

I'd say they come by their sense of humor legitimately, my fun friend! What a fun thing to see first thing in the morning. Hopefully the HOA is still laughing.
