An unconventional Valentine

I've been in a funk lately and I shouldn't be because I have new products to play with and but just didn't feel like making a card. I sat down yesterday and got my new Spellbinders Kaleidoscope Plaid dies out and just played. I cut them out in red and white cardstock and glued them to pattern paper from a 6x6 pad from Teresa Collins. The Love is several glued together from a sequin pack. Nothing fancy but I made a card. I'll add this to the mynbus this month.

I've been telling my friend some jokes I've seen on YouTube and she suggested I post them on my blog. I'll put them at the end of the post so you can skip them if you want to.

Did you know that before crowbars were invented crows had to drink at home?

Be kind to one another.

This is a great Valentine card, Brenda. Color combination is perfect. The die is very nice. I know you would use it often for your projects. Keep writing jokes in your posts. This one is very funny. :-)

That's a cool looking valentine with those layered die cuts! Brilliant idea! I love silly jokes like this - they always make me smile, groan, or slap my knees :)

I’m a big fan of unconventional, especially for Valentine’s since I don’t celebrate it. 😜 Your card is not too frilly / feminine, so it’s awesome!
Love the joke, too.

That's an awesome looking card Brenda, love the diecut. I sometimes sit and just look at all of the things I have and get a bit overwhelmed. Just picking something and using it to diecut or stamp is a good way of moving forward. Love the joke too :) Cathy x

Hurrah for making a card & for using your new dies! I have that set & think I've only made one card with it. It is beautiful & I like the idea of Valentine colors! Thanks for the inspiration & for the chuckle!

what a brilliant card and such sanzzy design.
Love the background card or paper used.
Then we have that lovely geometric design in the middle and it looks very 3D and lovely.
Oh those darn crows having their own bar. lol.
A nice joke enjoyed it.
Sounds like you are having nasty snow in your area according to my phone.
Lots of crafty love and hugs from my house to yours. Jenny L.

I'm having a hard time getting started with cards as well after all my Christmas makes. Sorry you are in a funk too my friend. But from the looks of this card, you are coming out of your funk. I love this card!!! The plaid dies are awesome, need me some of those. I love how they looked stacked on top of each other in this color combo. Loving the grid paper background too as well as the love word die. Such a nice card for male or female Brenda! Loved the joke too, keep posting them! Big hugs, Brenda
