The sunshine is here

Yes sir, we have sunshine in the midwest and for the twofercardchallenge. The theme is sunshine and here are my two cards. The sun is die cut with a Lil' Inkers die on both cards. I sponged the sky, then sponged through a Simon Says Stamp stencil for the water and added some strokes with a white pen. Then, my most favorite thing - I used the sand embossing powder from Hero Arts that gives a sand texture to the card. The chair is a Gina Marie die cut and an embossed sentiment from Lawn Fawn.

The second card uses a sunshine die that I sponged with mustard seed and cracklin' campfire distress oxides and the sun. Using a very old Stampin' Up stamp I colored the happy face and stamped it, then punched it out and glued to the face of the sun. The sentiment is from the same stamp set. The sunshine does make me smile so that seemed like an easy one layer card for me.

Two lovely card, Brenda. I've never heard of sand embossing powder, I'll have to check it out. It's been a beautiful sunny day here today, so we headed towards the coast for some sea air. xx

I'm so happy to see you in the gallery, Brenda! Your sunshine cards are just perfect for this month's challenge. I just ordered my first Gina Marie die, and judging by that sweet chair, I'm going to be thrilled with my purchase! I love that beachy scene you've created. Reminds me of sitting on the beach in Mexico with my family. Such a nice memory, and you've spurred it! The sand, the water, and the sunshine are just delightful on your card. Love it! And your sweet, smiling sun makes me smile, too! You'll brighten someone's day with this card. Thank you so much for joining us at The Twofer Challenge! Sending hugs. Bev
