Another hello

We have been having thunderstorms for the last five hours this morning. Daisy got me up a little after four because of thunder off in the distance. She starts shaking so hard so I have to cuddle her. It doesn't stop her from shaking but I think she feels better. It's now seven after nine and it's still going on along with horrendous rain. On the upside, it's not so hot anymore.

While I had the hello die out from the previous card, I used it again cut in brown cardstock. I brayered yellow ink on a Simon Says floral field embossing folder and ran it through the Big Shot. I added brown ink with a finger dauber to the daisy centers. Added some SU ribbon and the hello die. I'm pretty pleased with how it came out.

Be kind to one another.

Thunder storms are so hard on dogs, I'm sure the cuddle really helps ♥
your embossing folder background is so pretty, love the yellow brayering :)

A pretty card Brenda, a lovely embossed background.
I hope the thunder stops soon, we are very fortunate that both of our dogs are not frightened by thunder or fireworks, our previous dog was terrified.

This is such a pretty embossing folder, Brenda, and I love how you've colored it up! The yellow and brown are so pretty together and your inking is smooth and precise. This is one technique I've never mastered!

Poor Daisy, I'm sure she felt comforted by your cuddles even though she was still scared. It's funny how some dogs are terrified of storms/fireworks, etc...and some aren't. Our dogs aren't scared of them, but they don't like them either. I think for them it is the wind the most. Your card is stunning! I love that embossing folder and just might have to splurge to get it. I love how you inked it up too. The ribbon and of course your die cut hello are perfect. You should be pleased with this card, again it is stunning! Hugs, Brenda

Beautiful field of daisies for your background. I need to give that brayer trick a try. Loving the font on the hello. Poor Daisy. It is good she has you to cuddle. Have you tried one of the thunder shirts for dogs?

Awww, sweet Daisy being troubled by all the storms! I sure hope we get more sunshine than rain soon! My flower pots have been flooded by rain. I ‘m not sure my geraniums will come back. But, your card would certainly brighten up anyone’s day, so pretty! Love all the daisies and beautiful ribbon!

Our dog is so scared of thunder too. I think lots of dogs are that way. But now to your beautiful card design. I love it. I love the embossing folder used for it and the colors are wonderful. That is a nice big sentiment too which goes perfectly with the design.

The card is lovely. It is storming here too. No dog to cuddle!
Can you tell me what sandwich you use with the Daisy SSS embossing folder and the Big Shot. I tried using mine yesterday and didn't get it to work.
thanks

Those daisies make a gorgeous card!! It's just beautiful! I've read that weighted blankets immediately calm dogs down during storms. They even sell weighted coats to put on dogs for comfort. Hopefully you find something that helps! Hugs!

I didn't have any way to answer you so I hope you check back here. I used the thick bottom plate and a steel shim, then the e/f and 2 pieces of cardstock over the top. You may have to adjust your cardstock to fit your machine.

Pretty card Brenda. LOVE your field of daisies! Great way to colour them with the brayer. And the brown hello is gorgeous with that amazing font. Hope things have settled with the weather and it better now ... sunny, but not too hot would be perfect! xx

You are a pro at this technique, Brenda, and I love how the yellow works so perfectly with the daisy e/f. Love the swirly hello font and the way you daubered the flower centers. I hope the storms have moved on now and you and Daisy can get some rest! Hugs, Darnell

I frequently check the weather in Indy & think of you. So awful when puppy dogs are frightened by the thunder. Sure wish some of that rain had come out here! Your card is just beautiful! Guess I need to try inking an embossing folder again. Mine never come out great.
