There won't be a garden

The sun melted the ice, not plant food. I swept it up yesterday but I was looking forward to opening the front door and picking a tomato or grabbing a cucumber. Darn! Also, had a root canal yesterday that went fine. My jaw is a bit sore but no other problems.

My granddaughter recently broke her wrist and this is the card I sent her. A Simon Says stamp colored with Copics. I had some of those yellow flower sequins that matched her hat in my stash. I am loving being able to use up things I've had forever. That doesn't stop me from buying more but it is nice to use up the older products. She goes Thursday to get released from the Doctor we hope. He didn't release her the last time she went.

Be kind to one another.

That is adorable. I know your granddaughter will love it. I am so glad the snow melted. Maybe the robins will be here soon. That is always a good sign.

It is better that way. It would not be the best to go out of the door and step into a dirt of the garden. :-) The wrist of your granddaughter will heal quickly after she will get this cute card. I like the motive and also the sentiment. Great card!
Stay safe! Hugs, Sonja

Too bad you found no fresh crops to pick on your front porch after the plant food being spread! LOL That's too funny :) What a super cute and fun card with that sweet image! I hope it cheers up your DGD after her broken wrist! Bummer :(

Such a cute card Brenda, I'm sure your granddaughter will love it. Good news that the ice has melted, but a shame you didn't have a vegetable patch grow overnight on your step. 😉 Hope the pain in your jaw goes away soon. xx

Adorable image & I know your granddaughter loves the card, Brenda! Sorry you didn't get a garden afterall, but good the ice is gone! Stood in line for an hour & left with a dose of Pfizer vaccine in my arm--hurrah! Feeling hopeful someday we can get together again!

Hope your granddaughter gets the all clear, Brenda! Glad your root canal went okay. I'm also glad your ice is gone. It's a shame the plant food didn't bring you fresh veggies. Love this little gnomette with her sweet flowers! Always a good feeling to use something that's been in our stash for a while.

Your card is so cute and adorable with that cutie on it. I am sure your granddaughter will be so happy to get it too! Sorry no fresh produce outside your door. LOL At least the sun did the job quite well in getting rid of the ice.

Sorry to hear you won't have sweet corn blocking your front door, Brenda. That would have been such a treat come summer! You made such a sweet ganome card for Lauren! I'm sure she loved it! I sent up a prayer that her wrist is healed successfully so she can be released. Please tell her that she should start taking a calcium supplement, even though she is young. And because she is young, she prolly won't listen to Great Auntie Darnell, but I had to say it! Have a great day and good job using your old schtuff! Love and hugs!

Fresh veggies right out the front door would be great, lol! I’m looking forward to summer to have fresh veggies! I hope your granddaughter’s wrist heals up well! She will love your adorable card with the sweet gnome! Love the addition of the pretty flowers from your stash! Take care and have a great weekend, hugs!!

Yes, most of our snow and ice has melted too, now just tons of water laying in the yard along with mud. I have to laugh about the plant food, glad you got it swept up, sorry you didn't get any fresh vegies with it. lol Would have been nice huh?! Your poor granddaughter! At least she is young and will heal fast, better her than you Brenda. I hope she gets released from the doctor this go around. Your card for her is delightful and so dang cute! I bet she loved it!! Hugs, Brenda

Too bad the veggies weren't waiting for you when you opened your door. I was hopeful! :) Sorry to hear about the root canal ... no fun, even if it goes well. I'm sure you're happy it's over. And sorry to hear about your granddaughter's broken wrist, hopefully she'll get good news on her next doctor's visit. She is going to love the card from you. It's so sweet and I love those yellow flower sequins. They are just perfect for the image! xx
