Thank you for your comments on our school shooting. The brave teacher is out of the hospital but the little girl shot is still in the hospital. What a terrible thing and I hope there is a solution soon.
The people are streaming into the Indpls. Motor Speedway this morning. It really is an exciting time in our city. No matter where you are you run into people who are here for the race and they are so friendly. It is suppose to be the hottest race we have ever had. That's hard on the drivers, cars and the fans. They have stations all around the track for everyone that are just mini hospitals and also cooling stations. I hope it is a safe race.
This card is just one I made for no reason. The sentiment is Technique Tuesday stamped in black and embossed with clear embossing powder and I don't know where the background die came from. It has an oval in the center that I covered up with the universe. It was made by using Gansai Tambi Starry Colors blue gold and white gold. I mixed them with water and used a paintbrush to put them on a block, then splattered on black card stock. Then I used a scalloped Spellbinders die to cut it out and add to the die cut. The little black star was in a plastic bottle with no label. I managed to smear the sentiment before I got it embossed. Just one of the hazards of cardmaking! Be kind to one another.

A fabulous galaxy background, Brenda and the sentiment is great with that. You did a wonderful job with the paints. And the die-cut is beautiful.
Black and white and striking! SO pretty and I love the background die.
Have a great weekend.

Wow, this is so gorgeous, Brenda!! The background looks amazing!! I love the design!! Happy Indy 500 day!! It's been a few years since I've been to a race and I don't think I could fight the traffic and all the people anymore!! An air conditioned room is much more appealing ;) Though there is nothing like being there in person at least once!! I do hope it's a safe race, too and that the heat isn't too bad. Have a great day!! Big hugs :)

What a gorgeous, striking card, Brenda. I love the lattice background behind your beautiful oval. xx
My 'no reason' cards seem to turn out better than when I'm making a card for 'cause'. This is lovely, Brenda. At first I thought the oval was glittered. I read the post and enlarged the photo, and WOW - you have nailed that starry sky. Most impressive. And it is stunning with the white lattice - Love the sentiment! Hope the therapy sessions are still working good for you too, and that you will have a nice holiday. TFS & Hugs (Brenda & I talked about the 'other Brenda'. Nice stuff, about how you are doing all these techniques on your wonderful cards).
Hi Brenda, a fun card, love your sentiment (it doesn't look smudged badly) have a wonderful week... Megan
What a lovely card with the black and white. And, that background die looks so awesome with it. I hope no more tragedies affect your city.
Yes, these school shootings are heartbreaking and I can't even imagine being a parent during this time. We shouldn't have to be worried and scared for our children's safety at school. I pray for the kids, teachers and parents all the time. I know when I was at school we had to start having "lock down" drills with the students. It broke my heart and I kept a flash light for those drills as my room had no windows and the children where scared. Of course I wouldn't have been able to do that if it had been real. Just really makes the hairs stand up on your neck just thinking about it being real! Your card is stunning Brenda! I love that white die cut and I love your galaxy. Well done my friend. Hugs, Brenda
