Plink, plink, plink is not a good sound at 2:15 am. It has been raining since last night and my roof is leaking. I couldn't place that sound so I got up and turned on the light and low and behold, there is water dripping over my bedroom door onto the carpet. I found a 24 hour company online and called at 2:30 am. She said she would give my number to the oncall person and they would call me back. That was eight hours ago and no call yet. I called another company at 7:30 am, same thing - no call yet. Called another one at 9 and no call yet. It continues to rain. I have folded towels under the drip and keep putting them in the dryer. The ceiling is starting to pouch out where the drip is. So far it is just a drip. I don't like being a single homeowner with no clue what to do.

SO, I will post a card. This is another fall card made in the class I took. I love the bright shiny colors of the leaves and fall paper. Be kind to one another.

Oh no--bummer! The joys of being a homeowner, indeed! Hope someone is there soon to help you & hope it's just a small problem. Love this card--beautiful plaid! Must have been a fun class, Brenda. Sending hugs, Greta

Don't envy you. I had a leak in the kitchen for 12 years. No money to fix. It got so bad, you would have thought someone turned on the faucet. We changed buckets, towels etc every hour or so. How I put up with it, I don't know. Had it fixed a couple of times, they could not find the leak. Finally through "Rebuilding Together" the roof was fixed and the kitchen ceiling fixed. They help Senior Citizens stay in their homes. Maybe you have an agency in town that would help you. But then you have to get on the list to wait and the problem will get worse. Hang in there. The leak could be coming from the chimney or the valley. Hope all goes well for you. Like your card by the way.

Oh gosh, Brenda, I hope you are able to get someone out to fix the leak. I wouldn't have any idea what to do, either. I hope it's a small, easy fix. I had a causality from all the rain...I had a praying angle statute in a small flower garden on the edge of the woods and a tree fell and crushed it to pieces. I'd had it for years, too. Plus, the rain is beating all of the leaves from the trees before they can fully change.

Speaking of leaves, your card is stunning!! The leaves look amazing!! I love the papers, too!! What a beautiful card my friend!! Good luck with the leak!! Have a great day!! Big hugs :)

Your card is beautiful! I do love these glittered leaves in contrast with the patterned paper.

Sigh, if it's not one thing ...! I'm so sorry about your leak, Brenda. I hope you are trying not to stress too much so you don't get out of breath and I hope you've had someone good there by now and have the fix going on. More prayers coming your way! In the meantime, your fall card is very pretty! That plaid is fabulous!! Love and hugs, Darnell
