Just as Valery of http://itsanalienlife.blogspot.com/ said, the Fuse came home. It was shoved in a drawer way in the back.. I didn't need it right this minute but I was missing it. I like my ducks in a row!

I am loving this Online Class Clear and Sheer. It is all about vellum and acetate, neither of which I use very much. This is one class that I have time to do some homework for. Everytime I take a class something else seems to be going on and I am not home so I don't make the cards. There have been four cards a day and I've only made each day one but that's okay. I'm still learning the techniques and the nice thing is that class is always available.

The first card is day two's homework. It is a card shown by Jennifer McGuire. I tried it the first time and didn't use good colors and it was dark and dreary. I put it aside and was ready to move on to the next card. There is a segement called Crafty Chat in this class. One of the things the gals said was don't expect to make everything right the first time. We need to practice and practice. So I didn't give up, I started over and I like it much better. It is not perfect but after I make it several times I should "get" it. Today I have to admit I kinda like the first one I made. I took a picture of the colored vellum so you could see it. I think with an image stamped with versamark and white embossing powder might make it okay.

The second one is a tag of acetate. It is actually two tags. The bottom one has the little house and flower and the top one has the fairies. Debby used acetate tags and I didn't have any so I used an old Sizzix die and made my own. They are not as big as her tags were so I couldn't get a sentiment on it. I punched a tag out and added another fairy to it. The tags are tied together with twine. It is a fun technique but you can't see the dimension in the picture. Be kind to one another.

Glad the fuse wire turned up on cue. Loving your vellum makes. The class sounds just up my street so will book mark it for later when I feel better. Thought that i would be getting over this flu bug by now but am spending today in bed as my head thumps and I now have a hacking cough. Only thing I can eat right now is yogurt. Trying to keep my distance from hubby so he dosent catch it. Hugs Mrs A.

Nice cards! I love the soft colors of your first card. I had to do mine over a few times, too! Love the fairies on the tags. I need to die cut my own tags, too, but haven't started that yet. See you in class!

I'm glad you found your Fuse tool, Brenda! I'm like you, I like my ducks in a row! And I think you did a fantastic job on your card and your tag! I will definitely be taking this class down the line when I feel better because I ADORE vellum and I'd love to know more about acetate. In the meantime, I will be "taking" the class with you, so thanks for sharing!! Enjoy the weekend! Love and hugs, Darnell

I thought about taking the class as I do love using vellum & seldom use acetate. The colored vellum is gorgeous & I love both your cards, Brenda! Hurrah for finding the Fuse! Have a happy weekend, my friend!

I'm with Greta, considered taking the next class, but the email I got, didn't detail what would be offered. Would appreciate having the link, I'll sign up late! These are wonderful Brenda. I don't use acetate or vellum much, (mainly cause I don't know how!) so this would be a good class. You've done great with what I can see here. Also singing Happy Happy that you found the fuse tool! I wanted to try something with Acetate for my Christmas Club card for tomorrow, and know that I have a box of transparencies - somewhere! Can't find them, so went to Staples. A box cost $68! My jaw dropped. I did finally decide to buy it, hoping my other missing box would turn up, and I could return the unopened $68. Ain't happened yet, so I opened...now I'll find the old box! I still have to use my Fuse! Happy Sunday. Hugs & TFS

So glad you found your fuse tool Brenda! I knew it would turn up for you. Just takes time to find what we do with stuff after such a major clean out and redo you did. Love what you are learning in your online class. I don't use vellum or acetate much either, but love the look of them. I really love your rainbows, the white embossed flowers are so pretty. I love your first try Brenda, it doesn't look dreary at all to me, but instead bright and cheery! Your acetate tag is amazing! I never thought to make a tag out of acetate, so will have to give that a try sometime! Thanks for the inspiration my friend. Hugs, Brenda
