Whew, what a week. It was grandkids spring break and a lot going on. Monday and Tuesday I was running and getting things done here. Wednesday I had our younger grandson. We went to a fun place where he could bowl, drive go carts inside and outside and play all those games where you win tickets and cash them in for prizes. Thursday I had younger granddaughter. I thought she and I would craft but there was no time. By the time we went to Target and the library it was time for dinner. I could tell she was tired so we started our movie at 7 and were in bed by 10. She had gone with our older son and his family to a cabin south of here and zip lined and went horseback riding. They were up late every night watching movies and baking. Both of our granddaughters like to cook and bake. We had a great time even though it was short. This morning as I was rounding the corner out of the kitchen to let Molly out I ran full tilt into the corner of the buffet. It took a good sized chunk out of the top of my hand! It is now cleaned and medicated. I am washing what dishes don't go in the dishwasher by my left hand. I can tell now that it will be too painful to run the vacuum or dust and possibly too painful to carry laundry to the washer!! I think I can make a card though no matter how much it hurts. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. Be kind to one another.

Oh, for Pete's sake, Brenda, were you able to catch the guy that was there in the night moving your buffet into your path? I hope so! That's a really nasty trick to play on a sweet lady who needs her hands to make cards.

(BTW, having injured my hands in the past, I can back you up that any Dolly Domestic Duties are OFF-LIMITS during the duration of your healing. The only doctor-sanctioned activity is cards. I'll write a letter if you need documentation. No problem.)

Seriously, girlfriend, I hope you heal quickly and w/o any problems. Big hugs, Darnell

Phew, what a busy week you have had!Sorry about your hand :( Darnell and i are in agreement about your rehabilitation-only theraputic crafting whilst you recover from your injury(don't want to risk over doing it with any domestic chores now do we ? )tee hee!!)

What a fun and busy week you had with the grands! I love spending time with the grands, two of our granddaughters were here tonight. I can't wait until they are a little older and can spend the night so we can bake and craft. lol I hope they will want to craft some. Your grandson looks like he is having lots of fun. You are one cool grandma Brenda! Hugs

My that does sound painful. hope your hand heals up ok. Looking on the bright side it sounds like you had fun with both of your grandchildren. None of mine are close enough to do things with but we get to see them when we visit at their homes. hugs Mrs A.

Sounds like spring break with your grandkids was a big hit!! Always fun to have a girls' night of baking and movies :). I can sympathize with your injured hand issues. I rammed my right thumb head on into a doorway last week, bruising it and making it swell way up. Good thing my houseguests (that would be my parents, visiting from Ohio) were here!! I couldn't hold a knife at all, so I had to have my mom help pack the kids' lunches the next two mornings. I couldn't make their sandwiches or cut up the fruit I usually send!! I hope your hand is feeling much better now!

Hi Brenda, I'm behind on visits again, so paying an enjoyable visit to your blog this afternoon. Sorry to hear about your hand mishap, and hope by this time, you are healed a good bit. Yes, definitely craft over housework. Crafting is therapeutic. Housework - ugh! So glad you got have your grands over for a nice visit, and I'm sure it did both of you a lot of happy good. TFS the pictures with us. Off to enjoy some of the later posts. Hugs
