Today hasn't gone as planned (not that any of them do). I have to get my work done first and then blog. I am falling behind and need to clean. Notice I said need to, not want to. I didn't get the card finished that I wanted to post today so I am showing you a card I made in a class I took from Michelle Zindorf  http://zindorf.blogs.splitcoaststampers.com/. She is the queen of brayering and is so much fun. She doesn't travel now but still has tutorials on her blog. You will love her work.

I received blog candy last night that is terrific. It comes from Leena at http://alacards.blogspot.com/ in Canada. Love her blog and she has great inspiration and such pretty cards. Hope you can visit both of these fantastic ladies and say hi.

I say I got blog candy last night because our mail doesn't come until 6:30 or 7:00 pm. It is dark and has been slick so sometimes it stays in the box all night. My hubby is the one who gets the mail. He looks forward to it. One night not long ago he went out at 7 and didn't come right back. I went to check on him and saw him in the neighbors house talking so I came back in. Then our phone rang and the neighbor said her husband was bringing my hubby home. He couldn't figure out how to get back and kept going to their house. All of the houses are alike and it was dark and he didn't know which one was our house. So now mail sits all night long in the box.

My resolution for today is to finish my sister in laws birthday card and post it next time. I am the slowest card maker that you can imagine. Be kind to one another.

This is so beautiful with the shadow effect you achieved by sponging! You've created a lovely scene on your card! Nice job!

Very dimensional and lovely, Brenda! I'd say you were an A++ student of that class!! I don't blame you for getting on the computer ~ it's way more fun than cleaning!! Hugs, Darnell

Brenda, this is a simply stunning card. Brayering is NOT easy (at least for me!) & I love it when I see it so well done. You did an outstanding job on this one, and thanks for the 2 links you provided. There was another website that had some good brayering videos, but the blogger removed them. (I think she now does on-line fee based tutorials). I don't make early appts if I can avoid it. This one had to be scheduled when they could see me, and I needed to get it done. Wasn't bad, the technician is very accomplished, and it didn't feel so much like medieval torture! She's fast enough that you don't have to wait on her slowness! TFS & thanks for the links too. Be safe on that slickness! Hugs

Brenda, this card is absolutely beautiful! I love all the dimension you brought to it simply with your brayer. Although "simply "doesn't quite get it, does it? Mastering the brayer can be so tricky. You nailed it!

I hear you on the being a slow crafter!! ;-)
