I just read
Darnell's post this morning inspiring me to get back to enjoying making cards. I have been in the worst slump since I started making cards back in the 90's. I can blame it on lots of things going on since summer starting with a hospital visit for five and a half days that left me so weak. In addition to my dog escaping and being in a strange place during 96+ heat for five days and found a breath away from death but I got her back. I didn't want or have energy to do anything. Then I had a huge setback in November that has lasted all this time. So, I'm joining in the IDEAS on her blog today. I hope it lasts and inspires me to keep making cards for the people I love so much and hope you can join in too if you've been slumpy.
I used a Simon Says stamp and die that I had left over from my
GO7 card this month and colored the flowers with Copic ink. The circle was cut and embossed with a Spellbinders embossing folder and the flowers added. The sentiment is from Verve, no longer in business, and embossed in white embossing powder.
I broke an egg this morning. My insurance adjuster will be here tomorrow to assess the damage and write me a check.

You always get me with your one-liners, Brenda. This one is sadly true, but also really funny! And your pretty left-overs floral design is perfect for Easter. I love your coloring and the texture from embossing the spotlight circle!
I'm so happy that my I.D.E.A.S. motivated you and I thank you for linking! Now maybe you will motivate someone else! Hugs, Darnell
Beautiful card Brenda, I love the pretty flowers. I think many of us are feeling slumpy. Hopefully we can all help to inspire each other out of this slump.

Lovely card, Brenda - a perfect Easter colour for the flowers. Yellow or purple always make me think of Easter. I think part of the slump is the time of year - tail end of winter, not yet spring. And the politics, etc. don't help either. I'm in a slump in other ways - I should be working on tidying and organising my craft room but I can't get motivated to do that so procrastinate by making cards instead!
I love your card, Brenda, and your joke about the egg. Or maybe it's not a joke, just the state of things today. I just paid $10.49 for 18 eggs. Highway robbery! But, hey, I needed to make some cookies for the grandkids. lol
I’ve been slumpy too, but you’ve had such a lot to deal with, you have a good reason. I’m so pleased to see your lovely cards, and quotes. The floating frames are fab, and this Easter one so pretty xxx
So pretty Brenda, I love the spring flowers. Yes too much going on in the world to focus on crafts :(
A very pretty Easter card, Brenda! Wonderful embossed circle and sweet lovely flowers! Lol, love the joke! We just bought some eggs yesterday at Walmart that was $3.00 less than what they are charging for them in town here at $8.00. Oh, well, hopefully the egg prices will come down soon. Take care, hugs!!
I love your beautiful card Brenda and I hope that your recent setback is well and truly over and you will be feeling more like doing what you love. The white circular embossed leafy background is perfect to show off your really pretty flowers... a wonderful Easter card. x
These flowers are too pretty not to put on a card, Brenda! They work perfectly for and Easter card! Love the embossed circle behind them too.
Oh my goodness--such a beautiful Easter card, Brenda! The embossed circle makes the perfect background for your perfectly colored flowers! Sending big hugs, Greta
Gosh, you've sure been through a lot Brenda, and I'm so glad it's now behind you and you are getting back to enjoying creating cards! What a pretty Easter card with the embossed white circle and lovely floral stems! Julia xx
