That's what a roof should look like. Unfortunately, mine is not. For eight months in 2021-2022 I battled with the insurance company to replace my wavy, leaking roof. They would not pay for it, so I had to. Two weeks ago my neighbor called and said her roof is leaking. I live in an attached garden home which means we share one building but divided into two homes. So the whole roof was replaced 16 months ago. I went out to look and sure enough, it is wavy just like before. my roof is not leaking again but it could again in time. Of course, the company does not want to replace it so here we go again. Eight people on the roof checking it out in four days already.
I finally got a card made for a sweet friend of mine. I sponged colors on a panel then added a Sizzix Flower Field die cut.
Bread is like the sun. It rises in the yeast and sets in the waist.

Pretty background for the silhouette image. Great card Brenda!
Ugh on the roofing problems. So frustrating I'm sure. Hope you can get an easy and inexpensive solution!
So true on where the bread goes! LOL!

I love silhouettes. Yours looks great on that sunset background.
This is such a pretty card Brenda!
Hope the roof gets sorted soon for you... and am still giggling on the bread comment!
So sorry to hear about your roof troubles. Those types of issue are the worst - such a worry. Your card is amazing though, such a beautiful background. I have that die so thanks for the inspiration xx
What a horrible time you're having with your roof! I do hope it all works out. Love your card - such beautiful colours to set the silhouette against.
What lovely bright colours against the silhouette. How frustrating having that problem again, what a mystery, hope they can fix it. Thanks for making me smile again xxx
What a nightmare with your roof, Brenda. I hope it gets sorted soon.
Your card is beautiful, such a dramatic background for the lovely silhouette. xx
Beautiful colours for your floral silhouette Brenda. Sorry to hear about your roof dramas, such terrible customer service! I hope it gets sorted for you and your neighbour, take care, Cathy x
That is awful about your roof Brenda! I don't understand insurance not paying for it, it seems like they don't pay for anything-they just take from us. Not good that the company who did the roof won't stand behind this new roof either. Business just don't stand behind their work anymore it seems. I can't imagine how much of a headache this is for you....again! Keeping my fingers crossed they figure this issue out and can fix it once and for all. A roof should last a long time, not just 16 months.
I love your card, the yellow, orange and purple sunset is just gorgeous. The silhouette of those wildflowers pop out so nicely on that background. Love, love, love! I also love that joke, isn't it the truth?! Hugs, Brenda
Hi Brenda,
oh my gosh what a terrible ordeal with your roof.
I do so hope it doesn't leak again.
Love your wonderful card and the inked background looks fabulkous with the black die cuts on top.
Looks just like a very lovely sky too.
Lots of crafty love from my house to yours. Jenny L.
I am so sorry you have to deal with the roof again. I know how discouraging it can be. Hopefully you can get good results this time around. Love the card! That's a beautiful die and background, my friend!
Your card is just lovely with those rich colors behind the black silhouette images. Beautiful card! Thanks for the giggled about the bread too LOL I wish I had some good advice for you with the roofing matter but if the original contractor won't stand behind his work, I'd most definitely be calling the BBB. You may get some action there - or even perhaps a local tv news network has associates you can call if you have complaints! They always seem to get satisfactory results. You've been fighting this one much too long already! Best of luck with that!
Oh Brenda what a nightmare, my heart goes out to you dealing with these horrible people ♥
your card on the other hand is stunning, the silhouette flowers look wonderful against the blended background.
Your card is so lovely with the blending of beautiful color and the silhouette of flowers. And, so sorry to hear about your roof. I hope things get resolved soon.
