No card today

I'm making a quick post today for an update. Last week my computer conked out and I now have a new one. My old one had windows 10 and this has windows 11. It does not, more the most part, recognize me no matter where I go. The store "transferred" my information to the new computer but it is not there. I lost my people, places, FB and Instagram. I've made four trips back to the store for help. The tech guy worked so hard to get things back for me but all the information is very old. If anyone knows how to get Instagram back or who to call or where to go for help,  I would be thrilled if you let me know. I am slowly rebuilding it but it is hard to remember everything. I haven't been making any cards either. I'll be back to visit as soon as I find you.

This joke seemed appropriate for me right now. We can't lose our sense of humor even though I would like to scream. (I did at one point).

Oh no, that is the worst! I would be NO help to you at all! But I feel your pain and commiserate with you, so you are NOT alone! Do you want me to send you a link for my blog and my email address? Col

Hi Brenda, they can move it back to Windows 10 but only within 10 days of installation. Other than that you can open all the applications in your browser and you will need to re log on and save passwords. If you can't remember the passwords most will let you change them via your email.

Me: same! I'm so sorry, Brenda. Just the fact that you had to schlep it back and forth so many times would be maddening to me. To do that and not have them find what they deleted or be able to reinstall your stuff from a backup is just horrible. I hope you'll be able to reconstruct everything and find the joy in making cards again soon. We will be here. Sending big hugs and love, Darnell

Oh my Brenda.. Been there, done that. I hope you get it all sorted out soon. For your sanity, take a break from your computer and make a few cards.

Oh Brenda, I really empathise. Technology is great when it works and doesn’t change! Try not to worry, you will get back to some normality. Most things have a “forgot your password” button, but you will be surprised how you can manage without stuff, once you have time to recover from the stress! I would have done more than scream!
Like Donna says, have a break and make some cards instead. Thinking of you xxx

Oh, my! So sorry to hear, Brenda! Technology is great to have, but it all changes so quickly for me and many others, too, I'm sure...grrr! I hope and pray that all improves for you soon! I hope you can relieve some stress by making some cards! Big hugs!!

It is so ridiculous in this day & age! I can't understand people who want to get new computers or cell phones! I have panic attacks just thinking about it--haha! In fact, I still haven't switched my laptop over to Windows 11 because I'm worried about what will happen. I do hope things are better for you by now. Crazy that you can't access IG on your new computer.

My sympathies, my friend! I had having to change or upgrade tech stuff! My computer still thinks I live in a different town that I've never lived in. No matter what I tell it, he won't believe me!

Oh no! That is a nightmare! I don't think I'd know what was missing until I was looking for something, and that could be months or years later. I'm so sorry, Brenda! I do, however, also use cookies to improve my performance ;)

Oh Brenda, I'm so sorry for all these issues with the new computer. I don't understand why the guy can't help with that for you. But you should be able to go to, say Instagram and resign in. Hopefully you have your passwords saved somewhere, if not most places will let you change your password through your email. So give that a try with things you can't get. Especially websites like Instagram, FB and such. So sorry you have to make that many trips with nothing resolved. Big hugs, Brenda
