First snow

It's snowing and it's really coming down right now. I don't expect it to last long but it is so pretty. Daisy was covered with it when she came back in this morning and she wasn't outside very long!

Today's card uses gold mirror cardstock and a Sizzix 3-D embossing folder called Fallen Leaves. The wheat and sentiment are Impression Obsession. The sentiment is layered in white, then brown cardstock.

I plan to start my Christmas cards this week. I'm so far behind between making get well cards for my granddaughter and sympathy cards for friends, then finally getting to a few Thanksgiving cards. Foxy, my oxygen concentrator, goes in for her checkup (or as I call it, her Spa day). She gets mailed to MN and it takes about five days. I can't go anywhere while she's away so I hope to get a lot of things done. She is fondly known as Foxy Oxy and I will miss her while she takes her vacation.

Be kind to one another.

I love the embossing folder on gold metallic. Makes a very elegant card. So far, in Beford we are only having very cold rain. Hope it stays that way. Too bad they don't loan you a substitute for Foxy while she has her spa days.

Oooh, I was looking forward to a photo of that first snow of the season, Brenda. Much as it can be a pain, that first snow is always awe-inducing. Your card is beautiful! I love that e/f and will be stealing your idea of using the barley die with it and the thankful sediment. Meant to go together! I hope that Foxy enjoys her spa day and doesn't get waylaid on the way there or back and I hope you, too, enjoy your enforced isolation and lots of mojoyous card-making! Hugs, Darnell

Oh, how gorgeous, Brenda!! An elegant beautiful card with the embossed background!! We had the snow here yesterday. It was pretty to look at and it didn’t stay long on the ground. I brought out my winter coat and gloves...brrr...winter is here. I hope Foxy gets a great spa day! Take care and enjoy making Christmas cards!

I hope you get along fine without Foxy and they get her back sooner rather than later, Brenda! Love, love, love your embossed foil with the wheat!

Keep the snow there Brenda! lol It is pretty....when you don't have to go out in it. Daisy is smart, our dogs...not so much so. They love the cold weather, snow is their favorite. The girls love the rain too, but Maverick doesn't. Your card is stunning Brenda! I love that embossing folder you used and the wheat die. Love how you gave your sentiment a drop shadow too. Yes, this is a stunning card! Oh goodness, will you have to be connected to an oxygen tank at home then? I hope you can get a lot doe while Foxy Oxy is off on her spa day! Hugs, Brenda

That is one gorgeous ef, Brenda & so is this card! Love that you named her Foxy Oxy! Seems odd that it can't be done locally, but good that you have a plan to get things done while you can't leave home. I didn't know you had snow already! It is so beautiful as long as you aren't trying to get somewhere. We've finally had some rain & are grateful the flooding downpours missed us. Often think of you & wish I wasn't so far away. Hugs, Greta
