I CASed
I loved a card Jo-Jo of https://jojosspot.wordpress.com/2021/02/23/felicitation/#comments posted on her blog for a couple renewing vows. She was so generous to allow me to copy her card and I made this for a recent wedding. The colors were white and burgundy so I used a marker to color some pearls in my stash to add to the bride heart. I used a Poppy Stamps die to make a bow tie. The white heart was embossed by a Crafter's Companion folder and the black heart was embossed by s subtle SU folder. The frame was die cut by a die from Penny Black. I stamped the SU sentiment in burgundy ink and clear embossed it on vellum.

There won't be a garden
The sun melted the ice, not plant food. I swept it up yesterday but I was looking forward to opening the front door and picking a tomato or grabbing a cucumber. Darn! Also, had a root canal yesterday that went fine. My jaw is a bit sore but no other problems.
My granddaughter recently broke her wrist and this is the card I sent her. A Simon Says stamp colored with Copics. I had some of those yellow flower sequins that matched her hat in my stash. I am loving being able to use up things I've had forever. That doesn't stop me from buying more but it is nice to use up the older products. She goes Thursday to get released from the Doctor we hope. He didn't release her the last time she went.

One more Valentine
I have one more Valentine to share even though it is passed. I used a Simon Says die with pink card stock, then pink embossed the sentiment. Simple and easy, well except for having to put glue on all those hearts!
So here's what happened. There was a patch of ice right outside my front door. I wanted to make sure if anyone came to the door they would not fall on the ice. I went in the garage and got the cup from inside the bag of ice melt and filled it up. Went to the front door and walked out and spread it all over the ice. Came back in and back to the garage to put the cup back. I thought the melt looked different than I remembered so when I lifted the bag to put the cup back I read the label. Turns out it is plant food, not ice melt. I wonder if I throw some seeds on the porch if I can grow a garden in the spring.

Shot today
I'm so excited to be getting my first vaccine today. My granddaughter is taking me so I don't have to park and walk far since it is so cold.
I am so not good at making scenes (unless of course I'm out in public) so this isn't brilliant by any means but I think it gets the message across. I'm playing in https://caschristmascardchallenge.blogspot.com/ hosted by Susan. We are to use dogs and/or cats on our Christmas cards.
Have a crafty day.

Snow Day
Since we had 8.1 inches of snow and it was under 32 degrees it was a card making snow day. I was able to make my card for the CAS Mix Up Challenge. We are to emboss through a stencil for the challenge. I recently got a new stencil called Leaf Trails from Lavinia. I sponged through it with Peeled Paint DI then embossed with clear embossing powder. I die cut my leafy image from black cardstock from my newly acquired Altenew Canopy die set. I'm so happy to be able to use two new products so quickly rather than putting them in my NBUS box.
I want to thank all my zoomies for information about blogger deleting design honor pages. I had to ask Darnell what Design Honors were and have this explained to me. I use my blog as a sort of diary and can look back and see when things happened if I don't remember exactly. That's why I put maybe more information on my blog than I should. I am now afraid to add very many links to people, products and places. If I use a name or place you want more information about, please ask in the comments. I will answer you the same way or by email if you post that.

Happy Valentine's Day
I hope you all have someone to cuddle up with today to celebrate with your Valentine. It is so cold in most of the country so cuddle up seemed like the right thing to say!
Here is my Valentine for all of you. I used a Memory Box embossing folder called Heart Bouquet with soft pink card stock. I added a pink heart embellishment from my stash to the center and that was it but it is one of my favorite cards. It is glued to a soft pink card base.
I wish you all the happiest day. Daisy and I will be cuddled up and one of us might have some chocolate.

February Twofer
I'm sharing my twofer cards today. The prompt is Balloons and my friend, Greta is guest designing this month. I used a Memory Box hot air balloon die for these cards. I paper pieced the red, blue and yellow balloon and added a Lawn Fawn sentiment. The clouds were made by sponging with a LDRS stencil. My unconventional card is made by cutting two hot air balloons and turning them on their sides. I glued them together at their bottoms. I added lace and a flower to make a bra. The sentiment was computer generated and I used gingham pattern paper for the background.

Water coloring - Whoopee
I'm still practicing my water coloring and this is the result today. Kara of
http://karalynnecards.blogspot.com/ helped me out with getting the inks to blend by having me use Strathmore water color paper and that helped so much. I didn't realize the paper could make a difference. I really loved seeing these colors blend together.

Valentines
On a recent play with my zoom mates we used Perfect Pearls so that is what I used on these cards. I stamped with a Penny Black script stamp on the top left, middle right and bottom left and swiped gold PP on the pink card and plain PP on the red card. Then using a SSS heart die I cut one in gold mirror and one in white c/s to add to the cards. It was simple but PP add so much to a card. I added a strip of Stampin' Up paper to the bottom of the pink card.

Welcome
I'm delighted to welcome two new followers to my blog. It is so fun to "meet" new stampers. Diane is from Washington and has been crafting since childhood and her blog is http://charmingly-creative.blogspot.com/. Gibmiss lives in Gibraltar and has also been a long time crafter. Her blog is https://colledgeangel.blogspot.com/.
This is a quick and simple Valentine today. I used pattern paper (I have yet to make a dent in my pattern paper) and shiny stickers. Not your usual colors but I like the way they blend together.

Watercoloring
I'm working on my goal of watercoloring. This stamp is Penny Black and I used my Sakura watercolors.
I was able to get a bit of shading in but the flower image is kind of small. The leaves were a little better to add shading to. I'm not as afraid to try it now. I had to anchor down the corner so it would lay flat to get a picture.
