Talk about a card gone wrong! This was so cute in my head and I knew when I saw the challenge at https://caschristmascardchallenge.blogspot.com/ with the prompt Holiday Treats just what I was going to do. How cute a candy jar filled with bright candies would be - not. I cut the jar from vellum with a very old Sizzix die and used the Simon Says Stamp set that was a gift from my friend, Greta. I stamped candy and colored each piece with copics then fussy cut them all out. I cut the lid from red c/s for a bit of Christmas color but even though that is the lid for the jar, it doesn't look right. I wish I hadn't put it on. I'm posting this because it took so long to make and I need to at lease validate the poor card. The sentiment is from the same stamp set. I will post this in the CAS Christmas challenge.
Then my computer wouldn't let me download pictures so I took this with my phone and it came out little and I don't know how to make it bigger! One could scream.
Be kind to one another.

Your day sounds like mine has been going! But....I personally think the card is fantastic and I LOVE the vellum. It looks just like you're really looking at a candy jar!

I love the red top on your jar and think it's perfect for a jar of Christmas treats! Love the candies and kudos for all that cutting! The photo editing and getting the camera to agree with the computer can be so frustrating!!! All is well, my friend. Thanks for sharing your treats with us at CAS Christmas!
Your candy jar is delightful. The vellum gives it a pretty frosted look. And fab job fussy cutting. I use this online site to re-size my cards (https://www.resizeimage.net/). Hope it’s what you are looking for. And thank for joining us at CAS Christmas. x
You sure are hard on yourself Brenda.....Your card is so creative and what a fabulous idea with the jar of treats. A great Christmas card x.
Your card is very cute, Brenda! We are our own worst critic. I love the bright red lid! I think it’s a perfect CAS Christmas card!
My day sort of resembled yours but not due to card making. But I think your card looks great and I love seeing the jar with the candies in it. Hopefully, the next time your equipment and design will all work great. Take care.
This is adorable Brenda. I can imagine the time it took to stamp, colour, and fussy cut all those candies. Adorable in the frosted jar. Thanks for sharing with us at CAS Christmas! xx
I have no idea why you are unhappy with this. I think it's such a cute idea- having that candy in the frosted jar. I'm puzzled at what bothers you about this. It's really a cute card!
I think your candy jar looks fabulous Brenda, such a good idea - I know sometimes things don't turn out as expected and we are disappointed but I also know that we are our own worst critics.

Hi Brenda,
what a brilliant idea the candy jar is and it looks so fabulous and a like a photo.
Such wonderful work gone into this very lovely creation.
Don't you just hate it when everything goes wrong.
My blog face design has disappeared and I don't know how to get it back.
Lots of crafty love and hugs from my house to yours. Jenny L.
I think it's scrummy looking, Brenda! Once again, when you get a terrific result like this, you have got to stop looking for things that aren't quite what you imagined! Lower that bar, girl, cuz this is an absolutely delightful jar, lid, candy, and sediment! Go stand in the corner! Hugs, Darnell xxoo
What a brilliant idea to use vellum for the jar, Brenda! It's a darling card!
Don't be so hard on yourself, this turned out to be quite a cute card and I love the vellum jar with the colorful candy inside! You did good!
